    If the hybrids were registered through Kew they would be worth more money.
    Most people don’t realise that clarinerviums are a different subsection to magnificims, crystallinums etc.( heaps of the hybrids are infertile ). At an Aroid show all of these plant would have to be labeled, Anthurium unknown.

    I am watching you from a tiny barrier island called Dauphin Island in Alabama USA. I love watching all the lushness of the gardens you tour. I am a plant lover as well. I have a question...what is the growing medium that he is using? I see something that looks like a seed hull. Shape of rice???

    How can you differentiate anthurium crystalinum froM magnificum?

    • @onlyplants
      @onlyplants  Год назад

      Almost impossible to tell them apart when they are teeny tiny… magnificum leaves grow much larger with each leaf until they become a monster. Crystallinum would put out only slightly larger leaves and can only get slightly bigger than your face

    Lovely collection, impressive! However how bold of this collector to say they have the only one or 1 of the only three hybrids of a plant or worst, that no one has produced seedlings of a plant, I've seen papi panama seedlings and hybrids Not in this huge worldwide race to have the best anthuriums

    • @onlyplants
      @onlyplants  2 года назад +3

      Perhaps to their best knowledge they have not seen or heard of others. But given how big this world and how long plant collecting and hybridization has been going on, its safe to assume that everything has been done somewhere at sometime before.
