I absolutely love Richie. I met him in Omaha and he signed the back of both of the headstocks on my RK Tele and RK Red Trans Strat. Along with a Buch of merch I bought. He also hung out and chatted for about a half hour or so maybe. What a gracious host. He was so down to earth and genuinely cool. The last time I had seen him the speaker mic stand kept slipping down and kinda throwing off the volume through the PA. I didn't see it but my buddy did and told me about it . Long story short I thought he said Richie knocked it aside out of frustration and I told Richie the story. He said what? The speaker mic? I said yea you kicked it out of the way. He said hmm that doesn't sound like something I would do. Well he's right. I had that story all fucked up. I saw my buddy at the show that night and told him and he said no that's not what happened. The he told me what actually happened. I felt stupid and Richie was probably thinking WTF are you even talking about dude? I had so many things to ask him that are legit conversation topics but I said that stupid shit. I mean we talked about other stuff and it was cool but I wish Id never said that. I was more interested in how his stone patio came out at home, or if the best kind of drop D tuning head on his TELE was a locking tuner or something. Maybe next time.
Fantastic interview, feel closer to Richie watching this, stories are absolutely killer. I listen to a lot of Richies stuff lately, Smith/Kotzen, Winery Dogs, and his solo stuff. Thanks guys for doing this video

Richie is the best…. it’s so refreshing to hear his stories that everyone can relate too. Richie continues to amaze me.
Richie is fking amazing. From his solo work to bands and all the amazing collaboration projects, he’s one of my top favorite musicians ever.
He seemed a little unsure about the setup at first, but he quickly relaxed, and this is one of my favorite interviews of anybody. Outstanding.
