Matt Richards: i'm pretty sure that i wrote "profile videos" as in: the videos on your profile. profile being your youtube page, geddit? it's also quite hilarious that in your tiny mind, a photographic profile picture is "more real" than a cartoon profile picture... just wow. you seem to have difficulties with words and meaning. but thanks for confirming my notion. you are a true moron. highly entertaining to read tho...
may i add that i'm a graphic designer/illustrator/animator? i create things based on concepts i form in my mind. would you seriously consider being barely able to use a shitty camera based on optical/digital principles you never really understood as being on the same level? stay in your league, thx

Agree...all the fun I had playing games as a kid was so far from what would be deemed acceptable and PC by today's standards....(also, very few girls ever wanted to participate in our types of games...and that was just fine by us).

Mira Smit Schools made huge mistakes when they decided to listen to nagging parents, and started implementing every hair brained idea spewed by a parenting guru that they came across.
On top of that you have way too many special interest groups with their hands in the cookie jar, trying to institutionalize more social experiments that will be conducted on the kids.
Meanwhile, many are entering college completely behind their grade level on several subjects.
All that said, not all schools are the same. It took some years to implement the self esteem movement but they eventually all got there, and imploded.

My son isn't even two yet and I worry every day about what kind of shit the world is going to throw at him. What people are going to try to make him believe that he is wrong or evil just for being who he is. I don't know what I would do the first time he comes home upset because some teacher excluded him for being white, or is punishing him for being male. I might go to prison that day. Nobody is going to destroy my son before he becomes as great as I know he can be. I just hope that he doesn't have to go through that shit.

I have the same worries for my son. I am being very intentional about directing him towards toys/games/activities that I did as a boy (and I was a pretty athletic and aggressive kid - I was a free safety in high school and college, and I loved hitting people and hitting them hard). I want him to grow up to be confident, strong (even if he isn't necessarily physically strong), and to know exactly who he is and not let anyone change him from who he was born to be. He has limitless potential, and no woman or hegemony is going to take that from him.

Lord Ahind So raise a little wolf. Make his mind civil, but his body savage. Boys lean toward action and violence? Sports. Boy Scouts. Martial arts. Teach him to acknowledge, recognize, and most importantly UNDERSTAND AND ACCEPT that part of himself. That part is better left to a father, I'm assuming that's you. I was a child raised in a single mother household of three. Yes, three. Two boys, one girl. I practically raised my younger brother- our mother is still too busy with little sister to take much notice of us. Yes, she pays for food, shelter, clothing, but she hasn't cared for us in years. Do not raise him to be a man, raise him to be a king. Train within him a sense of duty and respect, and not all at once. Little moments become great teaching tools. Best of luck, I wish your road runs up to meet you and your little one. Blessed be.

Feminists may want feminine men, but real women get off on raw masculinity.
So i have refused to medicate my son for his "ADHD" i have got him into all the roughest sports he loves and im teaching him how to cook and how to use tools.
As a mother i feel theres an intrinsic value to helping your son become an accomplished man.

I'm actually medicated for my ADD and was medicated when I was a child and it was ADHD. It helped me, it didn't lessen my masculinity, I was still a boy who rough housed and enjoyed sports. Girls are medicated for ADHD and ADD too. So the whole medication does this or that is bullshit. Most ADD meds are STIMULANTS one even being basically legal speed. It does not make one docile I can guaran-fucking-tee that.

The issue with medicine and ADHD is that it is really all case by case. Some people don't need them, some people need them, other have it so the meds don't work.
But ADHD is most definitely real, its just been mislabeled. It also have to do with a persons mental state, not just attention span. Hopefully they'll rename it to something more appropriate so its taken more seriously.

When I was in fifth grade (11 years old), someone stole some chalk from the classroom. The teacher (a woman) kept every boy in the next recess. She claimed only a boy would do such a thing. I went out to recess anyway. And she had the gall to take me to the principal's office. They called my mom. At which point she gave them an earful. They promptly dropped the subject (likely fearing a lawsuit). Yhe teacher did something similar a few years later and was fired.
That same teacher once punished my brother for throwing something at a girl even when the girl in question stated it wasn't him that did it.

My teacher held all of the boys in our class for a bookshelf being disheveled, and wouldn’t take our word when multiple people knew exactly who did it: one of the girls in our class. She didn’t even ask the girl if she did it. Just assumed that it had to be a boy making a mess. Parents were involved but nothing really came of it, I can’t remember if we even got an apology either.

I wanted to be an author as a boy.
For my year 6 creative writing project, I wrote a story about 3 brothers who fought through a zombie apocalypse to save their sister.
I was sent to a female school councillor by my female teacher and they interrogated me about my home life and feelings.
When I left the office, I felt evil for having wrote what was actually a brilliant tale of sacrifice and heroism (I reread it a decade later)
I never wrote again after that though.
Thanks women, I'm sure feeling safe is worth murdering the creativity of your sons

    • @ghostflames1501
      @ghostflames1501 5 лет назад +2

It was the violence and traditional gender roles they probably were worried about.
Ending your creativity left a slot open for a little girl to use her creativity to get into writing without you in the way.
So yes, the women that tore your creativity DO feel safer knowing you never followed your dreams.
The real question is, will you let them continue holding you back?
Will you let them spend more than a decade being the obstacle that stopped your potential?
Are you okay with ANYONE holding such power over you, male OR female?
There is a reason boys are pushed so hard by girls without repercussions.
It's because, as even little boys, we can take it.
We adapt, improvise, and overcome or die trying.
Don't end your dreams for anyone, especially those that want to destroy your dreams.
      If you stop, they win.
The sweetest revenge is success, just watch any martial arts movie to see it.
Wish you the best, let me know if any of your stuff gets published - you'll have a fan in me.
      :)

I love her. She's so right. When I was a kid (I'm just a bit younger than her), I thought feminism was about equality and equal opportunity for everyone to be themselves. I didn't and don't have a problem with men and boys being interested in rough-and-tumble play and going on adventures; I just want to be able to go on adventures sometimes myself. It seems simple. But somehow it's turned into this other thing, which she so aptly describes.

ThatAussieGamer117 I don’t judge feminism by its definition. That is ignorant. I define it by its action. My only disagreement with Sommers is that she insists on calling herself a feminist when in the past 30, 40 or even more years, all the actual accomplishments of feminism are to give women power and money and then to denigrate men. Why do you cling so tightly to this label when the actual leaders commit social atrocities? I sincerely don’t understand why that word is so important to you. If tomorrow I found out my political party was advocating to harm another group like women, black people, etc... I would denounce that title in a millisecond. The desire to keep the feminist label is ridiculous.

Is it any wonder that I felt the need to leave the United States at the age of 57 in 2001, then never returned? EVERYTHING I did was wrong, I always FELT wrong about it, but I never understood what, exactly, WAS wrong. After being away for a few years, I realized that I'd been wrong simply for being male (AND white).
How I loathe what's become of the United States, which now seems utterly incapable of recognizing, hence defending against, history's most insidious, and OBVIOUSLY insidious, movement. While teaching Science for many years I was expected to follow an agenda which focused on girl's science education while disregarding the fact that more boys had an interest in Science. I ignored this directive and decided to teach Science without bias and reach anyone who would be happy to learn. This country is clearly deficient in Mathematics and Science education. If you go to any health care facility you will notice that most of the staff is female. Most of the employees did not pursue their education for any other reason than a good salary. I so happy that this video has been made... it is long overdue!!! I am not a male but I have watched and listened for probably the last decade how men/boys, males in general, have been put down, ridiculed, blamed for everything. I think it is very sinister and I would go further and say I think it is an intentional ploy to take away their masculinity, weaken them and consequently make them lose their identity. The feminist movement, whilst it has many good points, I fear has become almost a monster... don't look at me the wrong way, dont speak to me the wrong way, don't patronise me, don't open any doors for me, don't ask me to cook or look after the baby, dont call me Miss, Mrs, Ms, her, she.... be very careful how you approach me..... scary stuff but its going on and it has had a huge negative effect on the whole population but more so on the male population.
It about time the males stood up for themselves and made a few rules themselves.

They have a reward system for the AR program to get more boys to read and it worked for me atleast. I'd discovered a new passion for me. I would run out of books most of the time, 2 to 5 books a day throughout my years You would get credits at the quizzes to try to be 1 at the school and if you did your name would get hung up on a plaque outside the door of the library door. I hovered around 3rd and 4th place basically the whole school year. As you said competition is a good part of a boys nature so the competition aspect really helped. The top readers in the school were mostly boys. Oh and Jo if you would can you give more back story over your experience? I'm curious.

so girls get a day where they are given permission to miss a day of school and instead see what their parents' work place in like with planned activities for them to do related to the subject matter while still being at least somewhat entertaining. the male equivalent involves taking them to an event to hear about how terrible their whole gender is while depriving them of half of their weekend, followed by having them plan meals and outfits for an entire weak in one evening. (i never had a whole week's worth of outfits and meals planned ahead for me by my mother.) but dont worry boys, you can rest from all of this by sitting quietly with a baby doll in your lap. dont actually play with it though! that would be too masculine!
why is it feminism can never JUST be about empowering and encouraging women to do things they want to do, and always has to be heavily tinged with male shaming and man hating?
for the record, i have nothing against men who tend towards more traditionally feminine things and roles like house keeping or child rearing if such is his desire and decision. but shaming men and boys simply for being masculine, or treating it as some sort of disease or malady that needs to be cured is absolutely disgusting and despicable.

but you don't correct a wrong with another wrong!. one thing is accepting men who don't feel comfortable with masculinity, or who are more comfortable with femininity, and it is quite another thing to bully and shame men who are comfortable with masculinity, which is to say, most men.

Since seeing / learning/ observing the war on boys and men, this perspective has opened my eyes, and I have become very mindful of what I say, and how I say it to my two sons... But at the same time, I have to admit that as a young mother I was horrified just how destructive, angry, violent, my sons are. The level of total chaos, and disregard for life and beauty they display is mind blowing... there is no abuse in our household, we are an intact family, I am a stay at home
Mom, we have pets and raise livestock animals... and still they display so much pleasure from
    Destruction. It is totally exhausting.
However all that being true, I do see a terrifying trend toward demonizing maleness, and in this day and age being a mother of boys is that much harder because of the dread of the reality they face.

I've seen the video before. The disdain these women/feminists/educations have for men and boys really disgusts me. Imagine if this was happening to jews, black people, women, transgender people. The world would have a hissy fit. But it is mainly affecting "straight white males" and as we all know, they are too privileged to be of any concern
Also, how can a group be for equity and actually have that as the name of the group? Equity is equality of outcome instead of equality of opportunity. It is offensive to the majority of the groups it purports to help. But these people are not about helping people, it is all about gaining and maintaining power by shaming, silencing and oppressing anyone with a differing opinion.
You see this in university campuses, first they indoctrinate the Soft sciences and the administration and then use their power to enforce their "policies". Second, they attempt to ban anyone might/are opposed to their policies. Conservatives and Classical Liberals are discriminated against so that dissenting opinions can't be expressed. So, No funding for any groups that dissent, fabricate reasons why they can't have guest speakers despite the fact that they used no university funds.

I agree with most of what the lady says. The bit that gets me is when Hoff Sommers talks of why she joined the feminist movement back in the 70's, @ 12:25, and to quote "...how recently women achieved emancipation..."
Now, I'm not decrying this achievement in any way... I believe in freedom and democracy, and to be able to go about one's lawful business without let or hindrance, for everyone... if someone did wrong against my Mum, Grannies, Sisters, Daughters, and so on, then they are going to find one pished individual - among a number of other family members - who will seek justice, one way or another - 'lex talionis' if you will. And it would be no different if someone did wrong against, say, my very young sons, grandsons, or my elderly Father, or Grandfather. But here's my rub... how long ago, Hoff Sommers, do you think it was when the ordinary, everyday, working man achieved emancipation?
Fact is, it wasn't that long ago and certainly no more than a century or so, at the most (with many less than that), before women's emancipation. So, emancipation isn't something that sits with women only, it also sits with men too - as plebs, serfs, peasants, crofters, slaves, tythings, slave servitudes, et al.
As for the crap of others liberals in higher education and this talk of 'male aggression.' Me thinketh these ...errrr... people need to take some basic Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology studies. They just might realise that we humans are part of the Animal kingdom, and are under the influence of the most basic parts of life and what makes almost all creatures strive to continue and reproduce - hormones.
We may like to think that we stand apart from all other animals, but the fundamentals are the same for all of us, and the is especially the case with regard to how males differ in 'most' species - as there are differences and outliers - to the female. Now, not every male has the same amount of testosterone in the body, the hyper-aggressive may have the most, whilst the more effeminate lower levels - including women. And they same could most likely be said for females, that the most aggressive having higher testosterone levels to the most effeminate having lower levels. Whilst not in and of itself, proof, the 2D:4D - Second (Index) Finger and Fourth (Ring) Finger ratio shows itself to be a good indicator (lower in males, higher in females) correlated with various physical/ behavioural traits, which show themselves most strongly during 'stress periods' when the fight-or-flight kicks in and a massive surge of testosterone is released into the blood stream.
One thing to note, though, is that Testosterone isn't the final answer to male or female traits, as there are many other hormones that act on the mechanisms of male behaviour and traits. Also, the biggest surges in Testosterone without the 'fight or flight' occur at puberty. I remember when at Infant and Junior school there were certain girls you didn't mess with because they were as aggressive, if not more, than some of the boys. They were the 'tom boys.' The same during puberty at the High school. There were some girls who would beat the crap out of some of the boys who thought themselves tough. In fact, one of my best mates at Junior and High was a girl we all nicknamed 'Haggis'... she was Scottish in an English market town. But only we few band of brothers got to call her that. Anyone else, and she wouldn't hesitate to whack 'em one around the chops.
But many studies have shown that there is a link between levels of Testosterone and its effects - research into Football (Soccer) 'home advantage' has shown heightened levels of testosterone in 'Home' players - believed to be associated, along with other factors, with 'territory' and are especially heightened when playing at home against 'bitter rivals' (Neave, Wolfson 2003). Also, O’Connor (2007) found that supra-physiological doses of Testosterone were associated with increases in aggression, anger and mood.
So, whilst all is calm, Testosterone levels tick along with a 'maintenance' dose for men, that mean men can and do, for the most part, act in a reasonable manner in normal daily life. But if a 'stress' event occurs, depending on the event and its immediate perceived danger, a supra-physiological dose of Testosterone may be released into the blood stream... along with the body actions and reactions of a typical set of Male traits and behaviour, in general. For women in direct 'stress' event the actions and reactions, in general, are different. Women will 'scream' and 'shrill,' and possibly burst into tears (which generally occurs after the 'stress' event recedes, whilst men on 'cool-down' will kick bang the desk and kick over the waste bin). The 'screaming' and 'crying out' are typical actions of 'warning' and 'calling for help' for the others to come rushing to their aid.
These 'stress' event don't have to be a fully life-threatening 'meet a tiger on the path - oh shite' events, general everyday events in an office environment, say, can occur that are enough to trigger that surge... for men AND women. And of course not every Male will have the same levels of Testosterone, as won't every Female, either at 'maintenance' level or 'stress event' level - hence why we all may act differently whether calm or stressed - though, in general, Males act 'similar' to other Males, and Females act 'similar' to other Females.
    Just my thoughts 🤯🧐

this society has thrown men away. the only recourse now, is to not participate. do not marry! make your money, and keep it. don't argue. it will never be their fault anyway.

Strange how any society that empowers woman goes straight down the toilet. Strange how these empowered woman turn around and do nothing, but try to tear down the very people who who are mostly responsible for them having the high quality or living they enjoy

More damaging than inequality, is being blinded by our preconceptions about what caused that inequality.
Hats off to you, Mdm Sommers, for remaining a rational feminist, and turning back fanaticism !
And hats off to you too, Independent Man, for bringing these issues to our attention in such a calm and objective manner ! :)

My mother was a moderate feminist. My first toy was a doll called Christopher Robin.
By the age of 6 I was obsessed with lego, by 10 I was building catapults and setting fire to stuff.
For many boys it's a case of "boys will be boys", no matter how hard you try to persuade them otherwise.

Son's day; how about playing catch with your Dad, go camping, tinker with the car, make a boxcar/bogey, make a swing over a river etc etc. We are feckin male. This is pure emasculation.

Chris Jackson sounds like a good day for a son... Too bad some kids with bad fathers or gay mothers will never experiance what it’s like to have a good father.

I don't consider myself an Apologist, however, I am so sorry that the "Modern Feminist" movement treats men and the women who love them like shit. What value can there possibly in stripping men of their masculinity? I can't imagine how they won't all become a bunch of bitter, hateful, angry lesbians by the time this is only.

As a mother of 2 I can absolutely agree with this wholeheartedly. My 10 year old son has been completely beaten down by his angry female teacher. He's constantly belittled for his energetic behavior and his normal male attitudes. He was forced to apologize for hitting a boy after the boy kicked him in the crotch. He was so confused that he was in trouble for defending himself. I'm constantly having to combat the confusing and opressive messages he gets from school.

Grew up in a wholly and completely Christian household, with my father as a pastor of our local church.
Played videogames since I was about age 5, first rated M game I played was Conkers Bad Fur Day on Nintendo 64 at age 10.
    My fathers policy was this;
"As long as you don't repeat the bad words, or emulate the bad behavior. It's all fun."
I remember him taking me to Gamestop to get Dragon Age: Origins and the guy at the counter was like "Just so you know, this game has violence, gore, blood, disturbing imagery, sexual visuals..." and my dad interupted and said "All the good stuff right?"
And the cashier just laughed his ass off and gave us the game.
Felt good to have a father who encouraged me to enjoy what I like, and taught me not to let my passions control me or effect my behavior. It also felt good for him to encourage us to "be men" and take us out hunting, hiking, climbing, and other *MANLY* activities. He rode Harley Davidson motorcycles to church almost every Sunday morning, and carried a gun in his car at all times.
Nowadays it's a cardinal sin to even suggest that boys want to do boy things. Or that girls want to do girl things.

I think Sons' Day should be where businesses rent out small spaces like warehouses, unused parking lots, football and baseball fields, arenas, community centers, etc. for competitive sports and games like laser tag, paint ball, football/baseball/soccer (maybe even golf), wrestling, skeet shooting, or even having police or military personnel come and teach them about survival and cooperation/self-reliance, or maybe just teach them to fix things like cars or have them help build houses. Sheesh, people, boys aren't that hard to figure out.
On another note: it is an absolute travesty how few people went to hear her.

Starting at 18:18, looking at Christina talking this passionately and reasonably to an almost empty room shows us the depth of these issues, and the little attention they receive from society at large.
