This is one of the most perfectly blended choirs I've ever heard. And the soprano, wow! I hope Voces8 does more Bach works and other early works and less modern stuff.
This choir does an incredible job balancing older and newer music in their recordings. Great new music is being composed every day. They're exactly right to platform living composers while simultaneously singing masterpieces from previous centuries.

From 1708 when Bach was just 23 years old. An astounding composition for that age and maturity. Voces8 ist ein Weltklasseensemble. Die Sänger sind unglaublich, Gottseidank ohne Opernalüren, ohne Vibrato und trotzdem sinnlich.

The soprano singing the solo beginning around 5.00 is using more vibrato than is customary for Voces8 but it's still not offensive.
