I love the Knob Creek 2018 Cask Strength Rye. Lolol thought the cork was a little tight too. I’m down to 1/4 of a bottle and switched to Dads Hat rye because I don’t want to run out! I prefer bourbon over rye, but this is a great whisky.
The single barrel bourbons are pretty easy to find and at 14 years for like... 45 bucks it's perfect. Their single barrel ryes mostly around that six year mark compete well with pikesville for a few bucks less.
I just picked up 2 different store pick single barrel knob Ryes and I'm excited to open them up! I have a single barrel bourbon on the shelf too. Proof feels right on the bourbon picks!
@@BourbonJunkies price is right on all of them. Especially if you know the guy picking your barrel has a palate you agree with. And... Stay with me here. You gotta mix em up. WAIT, COME BACK. Hah give it a shot and make some bourye.
Just picked this up yesterday @ Costco, $49.99. First Rye I've ever had... I like it. Lots of cinnamon on the nose and pallet for me. Very easy to drink for 119.6 proof, though I expected a longer finish. They had batch #2 which is 127 proof... I'll probably like that more. Cheers!
@@2dogmanshawn Wow! Incredible price! I got batch 2 for $39.99 @ Costco, thought that was a great deal. Haven't opened it yet. Hope it's better than batch 1.
I was watching your video, as you struggled to open the bottle. When that happens to us in Cali after opening the bottle or after a struggle we say "Toma, Cabrón". Try it.
I love looking for a review of a whiskey and stumbling on Baby Junkies. Dan apparently hasn't grown out of spilling whiskey.🤣

I had to use "vice grips" to get the cork off
What's your favorite Knob Creek Release?

Just got 2 bottles of the 2018 for $39.99 a piece. 3 of these for just under the price of 1 Kentucky Owl? No brainer.
