  • Introducing the Mega Ranger, built and owned by Salty Gear's very own Jared Baker. This Ford Ranger is definitely bigger than yours! Follow Jared and his Mega Ranger on Instagram: @megaranger2020
Jared walks you through the specifics of this build and what it took to fit 37" Kanati Mud Hog's on a Ranger. We start at the Dirty Life beadlock wheels fitting with those huge 37x12.50R17 Kanati tires and Apex Rapid Precision Valves. Jared goes into detail about everything he did under the hood to increase the power of this truck to make it drivable, like a new cold air intake and a custom tune from Gearhead. After getting the truck on the lift it's all about suspension. The front is sporting custom length King Suspension with adjustable remote reservoirs, Apex AutoLYNX, Camberg Upper Control Arms and PB breaks. The rear setup includes Old Man Emu leaf springs, Rough Country V2 Shocks, ARB diff cover and more. Moving back to the exterior Jared talks about his hidden Stegodon 13,000lb winch, Rough Country Shackle Conversions, Baja Designs lights, Rough Country Fender Flares, and Tyger Side Steps.
It wouldn't be a proper off-road rig without recovery gear and Jared walks through everything he carries in the bed to make sure he gets home safe. This includes an ARB compressor, winch accessories, recovery boards and a heavy duty jack. There is even a fridge in there to keep the drinks cold.

It’s a nice build but you got a tremor grill on a fx4. It’s like putting a 5.0 badge on a 2.3l ecoboost. Just sad.

Well I guess it just depends on how you like your truck to look!

      1. The Tremor was not even a model option for that year
      2. If he did get a tremor model and still did all this work, the literal difference would be the tremor branded seats, rear bed stickers, and the upfitter switches, both of which make no difference to this build being applied to either the fx4 or the tremor model
At the end of the day, it’s the same thing

Huh 7½ in lift just to be able to run a 37 a jl rubicon only takes a 2 in lift to run 27s if you have a rubicon😂😂

Yes sir it’s much easier to fit a large tire on a Jeep! that’s what makes this build unique!

Your rubicon also has a chalked transmission and death wobbles. This thing is far more capable than your jeep.
