The Producers Guild of America represents over 8,500 producers. It is a non-profit trade organization that represents, protects and promotes the interests of all members of the producing team in film, television and new media. The Guild invests in its core values that benefit the industry at large. These values are rooted in facilitating employment of its members, advocating for sustainable practices in production that minimize human and environmental harm, ensuring a set culture that advances safety, and creating viable pathways into the Guild for the next generation of producers, particularly those from populations underrepresented in the industry. Year-round it hosts a number of educational, mentoring and professional networking programs, as well as industry events that honor excellence in producing.

EEAAO has won DGA, PGA, SAG (made history with 4 wins), Costume Designers Guild, Make up artists and hair stylists guild, Art Directors Guild, Set Decorators Society and the Society of Composers and Lyricist. Literally has been sweeping all the industry awards. Crazy.

I think the only time in the last ten years when a PGA winner didn’t best picture was the Year Parasite won. And that movie was sweeping international film categories everywhere. Since we don’t have a foreign film that’s been sweeping, that’s unlikely to happen this year.

Congrats to the EEAAO for winning this and very likely winning the Oscar.
After it likely wins SAG Ensemble later tonight it will have won the top three industry guild awards (SAG, DGA, PGA) so I can't recall a time where one film won all three and did not win Best Picture.

@@direct1177 If my memory serves correctly, CHICAGO, THE KING'S SPEECH, ARGO, and BIRDMAN won all 3, and all of them won the BP Oscar (definitely missing more, but those 4 won all of them). APOLLO 13 is the only one to win all 3 and fail to win BP, although that was the first year of SAG ensemble award and DGA winner Ron Howard was snubbed of a Directing Oscar nomination.
EEAAO might turn out to be essentially BIRDMAN 2.0 if Michelle Yeoh fails to win. It would be a weird instance where the main star doesn't win but the movie does.
