  • Hello fellow ticket holders. Join us as we finish our first full day in Japan. In this video we visit the town of Hita (日田) the hometown of Hajime Isayama the creator of Attack on Titan (Shingeki No Kyojin: 進撃の巨人). During our short visit to Hita, we had one objective, to see the main Attack on Titan in Hita (進撃の巨人 in Hita) points of interest. Therefore, we rented a car and started our pilgrimage. First stop was at Oyama Dam (大山ダム) and the bronze statue of Eren, Mikasa and Armin. Our second stop, consisting of two points of interest, was at the Mizube no Sato Oyama Rest Area where we visited the Attack on Titan in Hita Museum (進撃の巨人 in HITA ミュージアム) and had lunch at Yakisoba no Sofuren Oyama Store (焼そばの 想夫恋 大山店). Before returning the rental car, we made one final stop at Kameyama Park (亀山公園) to visit the Hinokuma Shrine (日隈神社). After returning the rental car, we check out the area around Hita Station (日田駅) while we waited for our train ride on the Yufuin No Mori back to Fukuoka. Finally, we ended our night at the Tokyu Stay Hakata (東急ステイ博多).

    Another gorgeous location! I’m not too familiar with Attack on Titan but the statues and museum look really cool. I’m gonna have to look it up! Oh, and the food looked so yummy 😋

      It was such a change of pace from the morning to rent a car and drive around the town and see everything. Attack on Titan is a great Anime, worth checking out. The food was sooo good. Especially after not really eating anything large since the airplane the day before. Thanks for watching. 😀 -Chad

      When did you go? They have two museums now. They have the Annex over at the Sapporo Brewery and they have the one shown here which is the original one. Thanks for watching :)

      @@slumpedfrogg yup! We wanted to go to the new one to check it out but ran out of time before our next location. Did you have a chance, def go back to check out the main museum. We want to head back to the whole town too to check out some of the other things as well such as their doll museum and do the AR.

    “Venessa is going to take a look at Levi real quick” - the unofficial subtitle of the whole trip, really 😂 I can attest that driving on the left side of the road is a strange and unsettling experience for those of us that have grown up driving on the right side of the road…having said that, I think only three countries worldwide actually do right-side driving lanes. Perhaps we’re the weird ones? 👀 The AOT dam was awesome. Not that it wasn’t iconic and beautiful, but I was thinking that you guys went an awfully long way just to see the trio statue! Glad that there was a whole AOT museum to explore and experience there, too. Also weirdly glad to see a coca-cola machine, as I’m always devastated when I make it out to a small town and they don’t have any brand sodas 😂 Lunch looked delicious, as I’m sure it was throughout the international journey. Love me a good hike with pretty scenery, too! If one is to be an ‘I’, be the happiest ‘I’ you can be…that’s what *I* always say haha great video, y’all! ✨

      I had to look it up because we were curious and it's 165 countries and territories that drive on the right hand side and 75 on the left hand side. And omg yup on the coke machines. We have seen Japan videos with more secluded and smaller towns that still had them so it's awesome to know we can have a cold beverage in the middle of no where. I might have even taken a picture of a vending machine in a residental area. It was just there, next to a house 😂 And I always don't know what to do with pictures so I just did a "yay." On the "I." Thanks for watching ❤️ -Ven

      My husband used Times Car Rental I believe. He's asleep right now but he can answer when he wakes up. :)

      @@TwoTicketsToAdventure What is the exact location you went to pick up the rental car at?

    • @TwoTicketsToAdventure
      @TwoTicketsToAdventure  Месяц назад

      We used the Times Car Rental location called “Times Car Hita Ekimae”. Now crazy thing is I just went to good maps to get that exact name and it seems the location is permanently closed and an updated google street view shows a vacant lot. 😮 So if this is true, then it’s no longer there to use. So if this is the case, I would say your next best option is the TOYOTA Car rental by the Teruoka Station. This is one station before Hita if coming south east on the train.
