This time, our host visited Hita City, Oita Prefecture. Hita City is the hometown of Mr. Hajime Isayama, the creator of the hit manga Attack on Titan, which was turned into a successful anime series.
By downloading the Attack on Titan in HITA Official Smartphone App, visitors can make their tour of Hita City all the more exciting.
You’ll be able to get discount coupons to use at various Attack on Titan-related shops, collect stamps from across the city, and use your smartphone or tablet to enjoy an AR experience with famous scenes at each location.
Our host checked out Hita Station and the Oya Dam. Bronze statues of the characters are set up throughout Hita City, and the one at Oya Dam has the signature and handprint of Mr. Isayama at the feet, making it a must-see!

For those traveling by car, it's a 21-minute drive from Hita Interchange and a 20-minute drive from Hita Station.
If you prefer to take the bus, follow these steps:
1. Take the Express Bus: Board the express bus bound for 'Hita' from locations such as Hakata Station, Tenjin, and Fukuoka Airport. Get off at 'Hita Bus Center' (located in front of JR Hita Station) and transfer to the local bus.
2. Take the Local Bus: From Hita Bus Center, take a bus heading towards Tsuetate. Get off at 'Nakagora' bus stop (approximately a 30-minute walk from Nakagora bus stop to the Oyama Dam Management Office).
