I use exactly this warm up/introduction with new and established students. It helps on so many levels. Timing, feel and control. Everyone should incorporate this in their routine.
60 bpm singles - ahh sure, that's nice, i can do this 60 bpm paradiddles with feet - ok ok it's gettin' exciting but still nice and comfy 180 bpm - HOLY HECK U CALL THAT WARMUP? awesome video! thx for the small lesson :)
Dude. Learning drums for the first time and man, this introduction to warm ups was PERFECT. I now have a solid foundation to go off of. Thank you so so much! 🙏
I’m still taking lessons each week. Yesterday I was working on the train beat with the Toms, snare, cymbals and bass drum. For the time being I was told not to worry about the top hat. Can’t imagine the temp counter set on 180. That’s how new I am.
John H I did I’d again. Hi Hat. The drum lessons are provided to me for free through a non profit group. I’m am recovering from a ruptured brain aneurysm, stroke and spinal cord injury.
Good vid bro. Used to be a really good drummer, then I stopped for 4 years. Now I've been playing with a bar band on the weekends and trying to get back to where I once was
I warm up before I start and practice behind the drum set. I do it because I think it makes me get into what I want to practice. Since then, my hands are warm and clear.
That's perfect....Tips for Drumming and hand percussion too... 👌👌 Jared you are really fantastic... Keep going🚶👭.. Will you please try with bass guitar and drums in different grooves?
Yeah very good basic warm up tips for beginners, the paradiddles can make up for some kind of fills esp when moving ard the set, sounds nice doh😊👍every drummer shld warm up before they practise...😌👌👌
You gotta get Eloy Casagrande on here. The man is a phenom and has some of the most interesting drum tracks (Alethea comes to mind). Would be great to see him demonstrate some chops on here!
I think that as a drummer I've been warming up unconsciously. But i think warming is good, it's as if it prepares both your mind and body before the practice and ministration.
I love the was u teach it's like I'm seeing nd feeling the sound the drums make like the pocket queen,I only wish I could afford for u to teach me how to play properly 😁

As a complete novice, I cannot yet form an opinion of what is best for me, but a friend of mine says that his gig warm-up is the first four or five songs in the set, and he doesn't do much slow stuff up there.
i dont warm up due to i dont have a drum set to start learning but i love drums and guitar im gonna send my child to learn guitar will i start to learn drums.
Hey I hope someone can help me so I bought a used Drumkit and set it up and later noticed that the bottom cymbal of the hi hat is curved downwards and that isn't the way it should be right? I tried a lot of things but the hi hat won't sound good or even "normal", does anyone have an idea on how to save the situation?
@@marv5078 In my case, the outer part of the bottom cymbal is lower than the middle, is that right? I thought it should be like a "mirrored" top cymbal...
Yes, as long as a drum kit looks good, has non bent rims or messed up tuning lugs, and can hold a drum head. Then it'll sound like a million bucks (as long as you know hot to tune look up Rob Brown for this)
I can use that whats it called That thing u use to keep time it sucks same as counting that sucks to so i go by sound im no keath moon in fact i think the last time he puked he expelled more talent in that than i poses but im getting there my limb i dependant is inproveing in the beginning it eas like hitting a wall thrn one day it judt happend. Im doing my best not to try and run before I can walk i think i got the beginning of. Half decent drummer inside me some were we shall see lol

Being just a beginner, at least working my way up to being a beginner, I have found I need to warm up in order to practice. Thank you.

hi sir jared greeting from Philippines, amateur drummer here sir
I think that warmups is vitaly important, I always do warmups before practice
Im struggling with the idea of independence vs interdependence. Which does we really use as drummers?!
Thanks! Very cool!
