Jared, you are the most likeable guy who with every sentence relates to exactly the way I am feeling/struggling. Superb instruction delivery with a touch of realistic empathy!! Thank you from a total beginner!!
Thanks Jared, I’ve been playing for about 3 weeks now and have been following along with your beginner lessons. I have to say I feel like your exercises have really accelerated my progress and I just bought your book because my progress has been proof enough for me that your lessons work.
Russ Gray why you will never become a good drummer, is because you’re impatient and instead of listening to him explain it, you rather just jump straight to the playing.
@@stevencccccc I've been drumming since I was 5. I'm a fine drummer. I pulled up this video for my mother to watch because she wants to learn and I'm a terrible teacher. I think his videos are great for drills; however, since he keeps talking and talking and talking there is about 1 minute or less of actual tutorial. My mother kept losing interest because she would have to keep finding parts that weren't just him talking.
Great Video. These are all good exercises. And the fact that they are all in the book helps a lot . Pls keep doing these videos they help more than you know. The book is excellent. Those sock are vicious man they rock!!!
These exercises are GREAT! I'm just starting out and I don't even have a kit set up yet, so I'm just grinding independence on a pad. These were awesome for that. When you started orchestrating it though? THAT was so exciting. Suddenly it wasn't just an independence exercise. It was music
Hi Jared . First of all I want to thank you for all your videos because they have helped me A LOT , being a self-taught drummer , you are the closest I have ever had to a "drums teacher" . So , I wanted to ask you about the cymbals used in this video cause they really sound great . Especially that ride at 8:25 has a really sweet bell sound . Thank you again for your amazing work !
Hello Sir how are you? I am so glad to know you here. I am from Myanmar, I am not Drummer but I would like to learn because my church need Drummer. So please teach me . thank you God Bless you all
Jared, I personally can’t thank you enough for drumeo. And I mean the entire fraternity. But you’ve stopped uploading the sheet music in the description. It would be really helpful if you resumed to upload that. Thanks again!
These exercises are from his book. There's no point in trying to sell a drum book if you post videos AND the sheet music for free, right? But you do have it on the video. Copy it using paper or MuseScore. I do it a lot and it's really helpful.
I deliver pizza and work almost 50 hours a week and have almost no time to actually play on my kit so while im driving ill play along with song tempos with my left hand starting with single notes at the exact tempo and speed up to double/triple strokes so i can hopefully get it up to speed with my right loooool
Hi, am a big fan of Drumeo thanks for all these lessons... few years ago there was a guest drummer in the studio who apparently wrote a book and during his on the drumeo studio Dave quoted him from his book, it goes something like "...it takes humility for a great musician at the same time courage to express himself"... i don't remember the exact quote, can u pls direct me to that video, i need a verbatim quote of that...
Jared! Loved your solo at the end. Just got some new Clear G2's and an Iron Cobra 600 today. This was the first video I watched and I'm inspired! Love Drumeo! Shoutout from Marysville, WA
1:11 Stop. No need to go farther. You sold "Da' book" with that mind blowing rudiment right there. Can you please break it down for me? It sounded awesome.
I hope you distribute the book to other part of the world... Man the shipping cost to my country and the fee are more expensive than the book itself haha.
as simple as it looks the rimshot on the left hand is on a pro sounding level...so a lesson on rimshots should be prior to this if you want us to practise it as above
Hi Jared, what's the software being used to provide the notation examples in the video? I saw this tool in many other Video lessons and just wanted to know what it is. I am a teacher myself. Thanks!
Thanks bro! Loved the video! Question: how do you get the staff lines on the bottom of the video? What resource did you use to get that feature on your vids? Any tips would be great!
Here's a question from a beginner drummer: Why is it easier to play beat #5 (for example) with my lead hand on the ride cymbal compared to on the hi-hat? Somehow uncrossing my arms helps? Just curious. Thanks for great video content.
I know this is a late reply, but I've asked this question myself! I feel like it has to do with having one arm crossed over the other that you makes you feel like your hand doesn't have room to breathe. Does that make sense? I even raised my hi hats or would lower my snare a little to help me not feel as cramped
@@lt.spruilly6452 You're probably right. Might also be my eyes finding it easier to figure out what's going on if my arms aren't crossed, maybe that helps my brain a little bit. Haha. Thanks for replying!
@@johannest3628 no problem! You could also just work some exercises like playing 16ths on the hats and snare and get your hands used to maneuvering around each other
Hey Jared, thanks for this one. I am just curious how to develop an independence when I play open-handed style and want to play classical way too (my right hand does the same as you pointed - beats simultaneously with the right foot...I am desperate)
Just curious - you seem to have a different kit, or at least a different brand of kit in almost every video! Always Evans heads, always Paiste cymbals, but the kits are always changing. I can't imagine you change that much, do you?
What is a good affordable 5 piece set? I don't want to spend a ton but I also don't want absolute junk. Any recommendations as far as pricing and equipment? I have a 5 piece now that's old and ratted out and is missing all but two cymbals one of which is a broken hi-hat. It was free! Lol.
There’s something about Jared’s patient tone and presentation that just really works for me. An avid viewer and user of these videos, superb
Production & upload quality pays of, this video is from 2018 but feels like something released yesterday.
Bearded Jared is the best thing that ever happened to Drumeo
#TrumpTheLyingInsaneFascistBigot
Yea actually its scientifically proven
The coolest thing is the beard grew in about 3 seconds from the background picture. Lol.
It probably makes him a better drummer. My friend has a beard and ever since he grew it he thinks he's king shit
Straight up.
This guy f***s

Paiste Formula I think. Probably 14" Hats, 16" and 18" crashes and looks like two rides, probably 20" and 22" with a splash.
Alhamdulillah, ada kemanisan dc2 tuan.

steev John yeah a lot of this is pretty beginner stuff, I could do it all without really thinking about it. More advanced exercises would be helpful.
@@VioletAOP416 look up drumeo independence.. They have intermediate and advanced stuff on RUclips

If I buy an electronic version on Amazon, will I also get the key to the online course?

Didn't know Terry from Reno 911 could shred on drums!
