I've been thinking of doing this for a long time but just haven't done it. Probably because I was making it too complicated in my mind. Thank you so much for this wonderfully easy and sensible idea!!!

Great idea. We’ve stamped out miscellaneous stamps by category and have the sheets in plastic sleeves in ~5x8 binders. Designer sets (the Greetery, Tim Holtz, etc.) have their own binder and so do Christmas and Sentiments. We store our stamps in dvd cases meant for stamps and all of our wood stamps have been removed from the wood. Let me tell you, we have a 30 year accumulation of stamps so our binders are thick and full!
My question for you with the app you use is this…when you look at a particular “bunny” in your stamped spiral book, I’m guessing you’ve tagged all your bunny images in the app and it will lead you to look at the sets so you can find the right one? I think Evernote was like this but couldn’t get the hang of it. The only issue with our system is that we categorize our sentiments into dvd cases by kind but the designer sets also have sentiments. I don’t want to pull them out of those cases. Since you are typing the words from the sentiments into your app, how do you determine if the sentiment (for example ‘thinking of you’) has the style/font you want? I have A LOT of ‘thinking of you’, ‘happy birthday’ as I’m sure you do.

I would love to see all of your binders! That sounds wonderful! As for fonts, I just have to glance through the sets that have the sentiment I want and decide from there. Someday I would like to have a binder that has separate pages for "happy birthday", "thank you", etc. so that I can see them all at once, but for now, this system is working.

I have a section in my binder for sentiments. When I get a new set, I stamp the sentiments on a sheet of paper and put it in that section, making a note of what set it is in so I can find it.

Great idea. When I first started stamping, mainly wood stamps, I did something like this.
But then, I let it get ahead of me. I know I would enjoy seeing all my images on pages like yours. 😊
This will be on my to do list.
Do you ever get rid of stamps?
And if so, how do you delete it from your catalog? 🤔

Hi Diane! It really is fun to see all of the images.
I've worried about what I will do if I purge stamps.. I guess I would just cross them out :(
I have not gotten rid of any of my clear stamps since I started this catalogue (I had previously), and I have purged many wood-backed stamps (but those aren't in this catalogue). I am planning one more round of purging through my wooden stamps before I catalogue those; they will get their own book.

Thanks, that's a good idea to purge before cataloging. 👍😉

Where did you find your stamping book? I love it!

Hi Rhonda, I'm pretty sure I picked it up at Michael's. Any mixed media book will do, just pick a size that makes sense for you.

This is a great idea and I am doing something similar this year - I have stamped out all my stamp sets on a 5 x 7 card and crated a notebook of them. I have included the sentiments too and have them grouped by company. We'll see if that helps but I may have to re-organized them by flowers, butterflies, etc but yes it is a great feeling to stamp out your new stamps and see what you have and how they go together. Thanks for sharing.

I love your idea too! So much nicer to see the images stamped out than flipping my through all the pouches when you need inspiration. Do you ever ask yourself “do you REALLY need more flower stamps?”
      Me either 😂

All I'm going to say is, girl you're going to need a bigger book lol! I ended up getting a 3 ring binder and a huge ream of cardstock and started stamping away! I am organizing by category, which to me is easier. I write the name of the set a long with the company. I didn't know that I owned so many stamps! And only 1 duplicate stamp in 20 years!

You’re totally right! I’m already in need of another book; I haven’t even started cataloging my rubber stamps 😂 Love the binder idea, may try that for my next one! Also... I’m quite impressed you haven’t bought multiples with such a big collection!

Great idea but not sure I want to see how many similar images I have lol. I also thought on a day with no mojo how fun would it be to colour this!
