Nice tutorial👨🏫📓 👍 subscribed, hope to see 👀 Maya+ substance painter tutorial for realistic 3d Environment and also tutorial for stylized environment 👍😃
Thanks! It did spawn in the center of the world but I used the align tool to make it go into the center of the object I selected. If you click the object you want to move (the torus in your example) then you can find it under Modify>Snap Align Objects>Align Objects. If you press that little box beside "Align Objects" just make sure it set to "Last selected object" and all world X, Y, Z are checked, then when you hold shift and select the object you want to move it to and press that align tool it will center it to that object. Once the tool is setup you can keep it on your UI at the top for easy and quick access by holding CTNL+Shift and click the button to make it appear on the top of you UI so its easy to get to. I use this tool constantly, so I highly recommend it! Sorry for the long message, I hope this helps!
I used texture sets, so I assigned a material to each set (group) and then when you export the objects the materials export along with them. When you import it to Substance painter they show in the Texture Set List.
For sure, for majority of the wood I used "Heavy Patinated Wood", and I used "Rotten Wood" for the piece holding the blade, you can find both on the substance source website. For the metals I used a few different ones like "steel ruined', and "iron old", I left most of the material names in the layers so you can check out the layers and the names should all be there. I also used "Plastic glossy" for all the blood. I didn't use any masks in this I don't think I just layered on different colors using different brushes to get the dirt and grunge overtop the wood. I hope this helps!
@@jkgamers6576 You should be able to get access to Substance Source if you're paying for Substance 3D or Painter. Otherwise I would just use any of the other wood materials that come with substance and then add masks, change colors and other settings to make it look the way you intend it to. I do this in my most recent video. Hope this helps man!

Great video! I´m new to maya just wondering how you where able to make the torus spawn where you wanted instead of in the center of world?
