  • In 2013 Julian Cole was arrested by six police officers outside a nightclub in Bedford. His neck was broken. He is now paralysed and suffers from severe brain damage. In this film, made in 2016, his mother, Claudia, continues her years of visiting him in a care home twice a day. His friends also drop by. We experience these visits with Claudia and three of Julian’s closest friends, witness the trauma this event has caused in their lives and wait with them as they hold out hope that justice will come from the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
In 2018, three police officers were sacked for lying in relation to this incident ► www.theguardia...

It's a story from 2013 and 2018 when the officers were disciplined. All they were guilty of was not realizing his neck was broken by the bouncer that tackled him to the ground. The video and description very nastily make it look like it was the officers that broke his neck.
"Prof Charles Davis, a consultant neurosurgeon, said “it was possible but unlikely” that Cole was able to get up and engage in a further struggle with police if his neck was broken when he was first taken down, by a bouncer from Elements."
It is pure racial indignation and hatred baiting by the Guardian to drag up this old tale during these times. It's probably because they will make loads of money if London burns like the US inner cities. Disgusting.

Having spent my entire adult life in the Army Infantry and later on working for a large Sheriffs Department in Tennessee I can attest that it does take 6 officers to restrain some individuals. If those people would stop lying to themselves then they could see the truth that 6 policemen would never randomly jump on an innocent citizen standing outside of a nightclub or anywhere else in public for that matter. I would love to see the ENTIRE bodycam footage of what really happened which I am willing to bet the black was acting out when asked to place his hands behind his back. Well we all see how that mouth and acting hard infront of his boys worked out for him. Second question you need to ask yourself is were they the ones who initiatd the confrontation? Again as confirmed by witness reports the answer is no. Therefore Julians injuries were the result of an accident brought on by his own actions. It is certainly unfortunate but to put the blame solely on the police and act like it was intentional is just plain wrong.

CONFRONTATION OR NOT THIS IS NOT HOW YOU HANDLE A SITUATION. JULIANS LIFE DIDNT NEED TO BE STOLEN . THEY COULD HAVE SAVED HIM . THEY DRAGGED HIM WITH A BROKEN NECK DUMPED HIM AT THE BACK OF A VAN FOR 30 MINS INA VEGETIVE STATE WHICH LEAD TO HIM BEING SEVERLY BRAINDAMAGED AND PARALYSED AT 19 . THE POLICE LIED IN THEIR STATEMENTS AND GOT AWAY WITH IT .

They deserve to pay for ruining his and his family's life.People still go to prison if it was accidental murder (manslaughter),so why shouldn't the police be held to the same extent?
