I'm guessing this might be about Chris Poland and Gaar Samulson. Both heroin addicts that hocked their gear to score. Luckily Dave wrote all the songs so his royalties covered it. :)
There were some kick ass bands formed in the 80's too. Megadeth and Metallica were in their prime back in the early 80's. Too bad Metallica is mediocore now.
