Rare 𝘔𝘢𝘨𝘯𝘢𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘢 sighting September 2024

While exploring the Tonga Trench at 3,300 meters, we captured footage of the elusive 𝘔𝘢𝘨𝘯𝘢𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘢 squid on our deep-sea lander cameras.
Often called the 'Bigfin squid' or 'Ghost squid,' this creature has incredibly long arms and tentacles, stretching up to 8 meters in length. It's a rare and remarkable sight from the depths, and we're excited to share it with you. Thanks to our partner ‪@inkfishexpeditions‬ for creating this video.
