I own a 1986 Celebrity with a 2.8 V6, carbed. Love it! Surprisingly, it's a very smooth and comfortable ride. It's a little rough around the edges now, but I plan on giving it a little love and keeping it forever.
I think that is the rare "Fern Green" color that all of us look for! I bought my 88 Olds Ciera XC from a junkyard. Drove it home 3 hours from Athens, AL to Northport. LOL at the holding camera and driving... I have opened up my Beast 3.8SFI Turbo while videoing before.... and lived to tell. Looks like winter is in full effect there.... not a trace of green!
Yeah. It's that rare color everyone talks about. Shame it's so rusted, but I'm gonna slow the rust and make it look semi nice again. It's the daily driver.
I remember we had a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera with the 2.5L while I was growing up. This was a real nostalgia trip just listening to that motor as you're driving down the road. Of course, we also had that true bench seat as well, definitely don't see THAT anymore!
My fisrt car but the front seat didnt have the one piece back part but the bench lower part witch was good cuz you could rich around into the back seat .. it broke dowm every week and coast me my weekly pay check buying parts for it .. but the front fell apart on the road and that was the end of that piece of crap..
Father bought an 86' 6000 brand new up here in Canada for 14 grand . Base model except it had a floor shifter with console 3 speed auto and 2.5 iron Duke . In 94' blew the head gasket out of it . Sold it off shortly after .
We had the same exact car minus the rust. It was a luv hate situation with the interior. Think it was a bit newer n refined inside. We had 3 of these in succession and it was pretty reliable. I've always been a bit puzzled at how the celebrity just faded away and you don't find it mentioned much in pop culture.
God oh man do I miss mine so bad wish I still had it if it wasn't for my garage fire I hate it happend mine was in really great shape no rust what so ever just need to be painted tho I redone the hole car and was gonna put it on the road it was finally finished and I have videos and everything on my channel of the car go check it out if you want to see it I even have cold start videos it had the 2.8 2 barrel carb in it i was the only person around that I knew that had the year model I had 1985 these are so so rare can not them anywhere and if you do it's more likely the later on models I like them but 85 was the last year model of this look so please check my channel out. And once I find one cause I'm trying to find another but once I do I will eventually have another Chevy celebrity of I'm lucky .
Not in this day and age no. These are very antiquated now, parts are not easily found and they're all over 30 years old. Put your kid in something cheap from the early 2000's. Safe. Cheap. Easy.
I love the engine sounds of GMs 2.0 and 2.5 liter engines! Takes me back to my childhood. Very nostalgic!!
My car is an 84 celebrity and I wouldn't trade it for the world! Always gets me where I need to go!

It's a shame it is rusted but you should be able to preserve it fairly well. These are great daily drivers!
I had 91 Olds Calais with the 2.5l and I miss it everyday

You should restore it, not that bad for a 35 yr old car
I think it was called Sea Green

so hot!
You like smelling farts?
I have an 87 blue :)
Cool car 🚘 😢
My uncle owned one had a 1987 model station wagon version
Olds Cutlass Ciera parts!!!
Not seen much anymore in NE Ohio
toyoscio I daily drive one a little more rusty than this one and it’s like driving a unicorn
You still have this car, you should restore it
The iron duke is the same engine that is in the USPS trucks
Later LLVs use cavalier 2.0/2.2
Undercarriage must be in "interesting" shape thanks to rust.
I'm sure it's good for another 100k too. Cant kill the iron Duke unless u run it out of oil or antifreeze.
Are these good for a first car for a teenager
