Thank you! Hearing the orangs referred to as monkees throughout the entire video (vs a once or twice mistake) made me both cringe & angry. These videos are seen by countless numbers of people and sadly, many of those viewers have limited or no access to "proper" education; what they see on the internet is taken as fact. But I also was afraid I'd come across as a nit-picking Karen for pointing out a mistake that, while pretty major for a fact-based article, if corrected wouldn't have affected the viewers' ultimate take-away. So thanks for picking that nit first, Karen. Hopefully the writers will check their facts better on any future videos. Love, Karen😘

Otters are very friendly - I personally watched them play tag at an Indiana, USA zoo with a 5 year old boy. He was running alongside the aquarium glass wall, switching directions as fast as he could, while the otters swam underwater inside the glass aquarium, matching his speed and direction with ease. Every time he switched direction to try to lose his "tail" and the otter instantly flipped over and reversed direction too, the boy would shout with glee.
I also knew a native american Ojibwe medicine woman & grandmother, who tells of playing with a wild otter family as a very young girl. She was watching the otters play on a mud slide into the creek, and it looked like such fun that the girl could not resist taking a turn on the mudslide herself. This startled the whole otter family, but the adults came and circled her swimming and sniffing her while she froze, and eventually they touched her showing trust and friendship. The girl began visiting the otters daily, sharing her lunch with them. One day she had the bright idea to invite the otters to come and visit her home for a tea party, and she enticed the whole otter family to follow her home, where she fed them bits of cooked fish on her tiny tea party saucers at a short tree stump/ table just their size. A great time was had by all, and her parents were amazed, because when she previously told them about her adventures with the otters, they thought she just had vivid imaginary friends. The human family moved away shortly afterward, as it was time for the young girl to go to school and there wasn't one nearby.
This was not the first time Grandmother made friends with local wildlife; she got her childhood name "walks with bears" when she was just beginning to walk; a bear family stopped by the wilderness clearing where her family lived, and the cubs played with her, and she was steadying herself while walking by gripping the bear cub's coats as they walked beside her under mama bear's watchful eyes. When Grandmother's mama saw this, it scared her half to death; she feared what a normally over-protective mama bear could do to her bold daughter gripping the cubs, but the mama bear was very patient and caring to this tiny, hairless cub of a different species. The bears left after the grown humans showed up.

Great many of the animals would be unable to survive in the wilds anymore, many would have no suitable environment left to return to. Orangutans, like all the great apes, are suffering from habitat loss.
While I agree on especially many mammals and birds, with their more developed brains (compared to snakes, lizards, insects, and such), suffering from living in captivity, and thus I see zoos as sad places, the individual animals in them often have no better alternatives whatsoever. I find it strange that different species were "discovered" to be able to live and play together. Anyone that has ever had a farm or ranch knows this. I have dogs playing with goats. When we had cows, the goats would often come to them and play and they would try to headbutt each other. We would give cracked corn in a 50 gallon barrel that had been cut in half length-wise so they would come when we called them. One of the goats got smart and she would lie in the barrel and eat to her heart's content. The cows would try to get her out with their horns but could not as she laid real low. The cows would start bellowing their displeasure. :D The cows would even play with our dogs. And of course, many of them wanted to be with us or play with us. Elsie, one of cows, would run over to my wife for her to scratch her neck. Some of the goats would jump on us. Many of the animals wanted little "snacks" that we had for them and would try to sniff our pockets and nudge us for them.

There was, at one time (He is probably "gone" by now) an Orangutan at the Milwaukee Zoo that LOVED to interact with the visitors MUCH more than others. He would "preform" by doing rolls, jumping on the tire swing and just act like a clown, periodically stopping to laugh boisterously and applaud himself. He would do this for a few minutes then he would end the performance with his signature move. There were a few different ways he would do it, but my favorite was he would turn his back to the glass, bend over and look at the people them laugh in that position while he flipped you off! EVERYONE would just die laughing which made him even happier!!

@@Great-Dao-of-Elegance you obviously aren’t to bright when you wrote only exception are predators which need to roam, don’t you think all the herbivores like to roam and graze on different grass, giraffes, rhinos, elephants I’m sure they like to roam. Sure some animals probably suffer from some anxiety, but none of them get mental health issues there designed for it. They do get mental health issues when they live in a zoo though.

It's so cool to see such different animals helping each other - even like this. What started as an experiment worked out great for both and I'm happy the orangutans spirits lifted! ❤️🙏❤️

It only seems unnatural to us, because we humans feel as though everything needs to be packaged in groups of likeness. We do this because it allows for quick identification in our mind, of what our eyes see or better said, "what our senses are experiencing".
Way back when we didn't live in communities or buy our food in stores. Our senses were extremely quick in discerning dangers or a potential meal. Something like apophenia, but not. Lol..lol.
The bible says in (Isaiah 11:6-9 NIV)
[6] The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling a together; and a little child will lead them. [7] The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. [8] The infant will play near the hole of the cobra, and the young child put his hand into the viper's nest. [9] They will neither harm nor destroy.
He is referring to the 1000 year millennial reign of Jesus Christ, when He sits on the throne of David, in Jerusalem. This of course, takes place after the Great Tribulation(Daniel's 70th week, the time of Jacob's trouble) and it ends when Satan is let loose for a very short time, at the end of the 1000 years, and this is when the Earth will be burned up and made new. All of the elements will be destroyed.
Some may argue this is eternity, but the sea is mentioned and we know by scripture, that there will be no sea on the new Earth.
Before the fall in the garden, it is clearly stated what exactly, all of the creatures of the Earth, dined on, and meat was nowhere on the menu.
This is because death never existed, until Adam and Eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and died. It is at this point, that death entered God's perfect creation.
This is also how we know that the dinasours actually lived in man's time and not before the creation account in Genesis. There was no Ice Age that wiped out these creatures. Death had not occurred yet.
It is also notable, that Adam and Eve died in spirit, immediately. Ending the personal fellowship they enjoyed with the invisible God. Scripture tells us that God is Spirit and therefore must be worshipped in Spirit. This is what we born again Christians enjoy in fellowship with God, by the life giving power of His Holy Spirit, today, and it was made possible through the saving grace that God gives us through His glorious Son, Jesus.
Who, suffered for and paid all of our sins on Calvary cross, to keep us outta Hell's fire and He imputed or credited His perfect righteousness to those of us that believe. The flesh of course is merely a clay vessel that houses the spirit and the soul. It did not completely die, immediately, rather death entered in and began it's destruction of the physical body. This is why we are dying the instant we born.
This is up for debate as to when life starts and I do believe it begins at the point of conception. But Jesus in speaking with Nicodemus, explained that unless a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. Then He goes onto say that unless a man be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God.
Some argue this statement to mean water baptism. But Jesus tells us in His next statement, what He is referring to here:
      John 3:5-8 NIV
[5] Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. [6] "Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit". [7] You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' [8] The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.
I kinda went off the rails there.. lol..lol.. I ended up taking this simple comment and stretching it out, dragging you kicking and screaming through the fall of creation and then skipping over four dispensations to body slam you with the "Gospel of Salvation". Lol..lol...
Now that you are down on the mat, as I showed you how the body or flesh is separated from the invisible God, because He is Spirit and you, because of the fall of Adam, cannot have fellowship. How can the flesh which is pretty much just dirt, worship Infinite God?
I will finish up by asking you, if you have ever jump started a dead car battery, to get the car running again? I ask this because it is pretty much exactly what being born again or born of the Spirit means. Minus the car batteries, because the dead car battery is you the dead spirit inside that mug(flesh) looking back at you in the mirror and the battery used to regenerate the dead car battery, is actually the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit(Holy Ghost). He not only regenerates you the dead spirit in your body, to life. He indwells you for eternity. He is your assurance of the promise of eternal life. This is symbolic of our betrothal to Christ. He is the Comforter, Jesus said to His disciples, that if He did not go to the Father, the Comforter would not come. So it would be better He go.
The Greek word for Him is Paraclete and I would strongly suggest, you look up, at gotquestions.org their definition of that word under questions about the Holy Spirit because it is the best I have read.
Anyhow, now being born again or born of the Spirit or of God(all the same), you can now enjoy that exact same fellowship that Adam enjoyed with God, before the fall of creation.
I say "fall of creation", to take us back to the original comment, as before then, all the wild beasts, including lions and whatever sort of canines there were, ate grass like the livestock do today. They certainly could not eat raw meat, seeing that death has not entered creation yet.
Last note: (John 3:16) For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believes in Him will not perish(die), but have eternal or everlasting life.
We all know that one day we will put off these old bodies, by laying them down like a worn out garment. But, unlike the poor wretched soul mentioned in (Luke 16:19-31), that has no hope or any part in the next life, because he remains seperated from God, in eternal torment because he rejected God's free gift of saving grace that comes only through Jesus, Who makes possible regenerstion and a new eternal life, that comes with that new Spirit, a new heart, replacing that old hardened heart of sin. Also the renewing of the mind, giving us the mind of Christ, as we are sanctified, being set apart from the world unto God, and His Holiness.
We all sin. We are born dead in Adam, making every person who ever lived, a sinner because of actual or the original sin of Adam. We are not sinners because we sin. We sin because we are sinners. We are bent toward it because our volition is for the things of the carnal man or flesh only. We cannot in our debased state, desire the things that are of the Spirit, because our spirit is "stone cold dead" in Adam. Not sick or lame.. Dead.. Dead as in needs resuscitating "not" just a little help.
But Jesus paid all of our sins once for all time. God the Father says that He chose to forget them by placing them as far away from us as the East is from the West. In other words, they can never meet because they go in different directions forever and that is exactly how long we have forgiveness... "Forever"..
Your heart may stop ticking ar anytime. Maybe tonight while peacefully sleeping, snug in your bed. You suddenly find yourself on the othe side of you last heartbeat, and the foor of time slams shut on you. There's no going back.
Are you ready to meet the love of your life Jesus, who died to save you from Hell.
Or does (Luke 16:19-31) sound like the direction you are heading. Where you will meet Jesus Christ, Alpha Omega, the Dreadful Judge, Whom, you scoffed at by rejecting His agape loving advances toward you, while there was still time. Now it's to late and you have eternity to suffer through it.. Sucks yo be you.. Seriously.. it really does if you have taken that far.
Time is running out, because once we breathe out our last. Our eternal fate is sealed as time stops for the dead and we are at this point, locked into an eternal state, based on the choices we make now..
Ever wonder about those crosses you see up an down the highways? The ones where people got scrubbed out in a wreck.
I truck for a living and often wonder if they maybe thought something a bit off or different on that day. Maybe they had been told that very day about the gospel and once again, said"no thanks".
Bet they wish they had of taken door number 1 instead of door number 2. When God extended His right hand(Jesus) to them.
Bet they wish now that they took the narrow gate at the end of the path less traveled, rather than racing down the broad or wide road where there are lots and lots of pleasure, comforts and fleeting good times. No restrictions and all of your friends are right there egging you onto destruction/ damnation.
Like the man in (Luke 16:19-31), I bet they wish they had some water to soothe and cool their tongue.
I mean, some knew Jesus personally and are never looking back now, as they bask in the warmth of the light of the same One, Who created the Sun, the Moon and the stars and hung them in the heavens. For these souls, there will be no more tears or pain.
