- Well, almost new anyway...
Here's a sample of a remastered upload from June 2009 of a hike along the abandoned Ma & Pa RR through the Little Gunpowder Falls valley straddling Baltimore and Harford Counties in Maryland. Picture and sound quite a bit better (as you'll see here) and-unlike the 2013 original post which was actually uploaded in two parts-the remaster will be both parts together for a nicer viewing experience. Not a bad result considering the camera I was using back then as you'll see here in the "before" and "after" comparisons. An occasional kink remains but this video's a great improvement over the original post.
Now putting finishing touches on final product and verifying continuity. Hope to have it up soon.
To all my fantastic viewers who've been waiting patiently for something from yer' frog...THANK YOU!! I've had to slow down on the odysseys quite a bit for various reasons including vehicle issues (waiting on new tags, gotta fix a flat etc), health issues (nothing covid related but still the usual stuff at my age), and of course-the price of gas (it's come down a bit, but still...). I do have some screen gems in the archives, as well as going back and improving previous releases (such as I did here). Might even do an occasional slide show of archival photos from back in the day such as in this example of classic B&O RR photos:
• Classic Chessie/B&O RR...
Again-a BIG Thank You to all my viewers!
P.S. I used to refer to videos like this as Preview Trailers but had to stop using the word "trailer" in 2020 as back then started getting asked how I like my new "trailer" and that it'll sure come in handy during my "travels." I assumed this was a common term seen literally everywhere and how could anyone possibly misinterpret the meaning of the word "trailer" in this instance. I tried explaining I never got a trailer but really didn't help. Nope-don't have a trailer and never did. Unless you count movie PREVIEW trailers...
Glad to see you back! I was wondering if you were okay!
Thank You! Yes-the lady and I are OK, considering our age and whatever else. Yeah I've had to cut back for various reasons, but might have some items of interest in the archives. Wishing you and yours all the best too! ✌👌
Anything more recent? East Broad Top has done a lot of work . Trains are running again. How are you doing these days?
Unfortunately nothing since January 2020. I'll have to get up there again one day whenever I can. Got some health issues holding me back at the moment.
Good to have you back. Looking forward to more videos!!
Until I can again produce "new" videos-hope you'll stay around for some classic ones-and some remastered oldies but goodies. Thank You! 👌
Glad to see you back. I've missed your videos.
Thank You very much! I appreciate that! I'll be producing new videos again when I can, but in the meantime guess I'll dig into the archives as I mentioned. Hope you'll stay around! ✌👍
Really want to walk that section again in Winter, hopefully after a light snowfall.
That really would be a great time. Will be a lot easier to discern both rights-of-way! One of the few sections where both ROWs are plainly visible and the dramatic difference in both!
Gus!! Welcome back!! How you all doing???
Good to see you back!!
Hello Johnathan! Great hearing from you too! Dolly and I are doing basically fine-all things considered. Hope all OK on your end too in these trying times! All the best, and Thank You! 👍✌
Can't wait for the full reupload!
I had no idea you had problems with your vehicle. Just hoping for the best that it can be smooth sailing.
How hard can it be to differentiate between a movie trailer and an RV? I thought one could watch a teaser trailer and be excited for the full video or movie to come out. Still gets a laugh out of me when people watch a movie trailer and think someone's getting an RV.
Soon as I'm sure entire presentation is upload-worthy, it'll be up! As far as that "trailer" confusion-it seemed to hit a peak after covid hit! Don't know if there's a connection, but that's how it seemed. Before that, everyone understood, but after that-a rash of trailer/RV comments! As common a term as that is-often appearing on one's YT home page and during the Superbowl-couldn't understand these folks! Most seemed to have joined YT around the same time with empty channel pages so don't know who those folks were. It's over now...well, almost. About once a year or maybe twice I'll be asked how I'm doing with my "camper" these days, bringing memories back. 👍✌
Better👍👍👋
Thank You!
