its absurd to me how insanely better Samurott H is. Its: >Faster >Dual STAB priority >number 1 hazard setter in the tier >knock off >way better ability
I remember running a mixed lead Cobalion set back in gen 6 with a STAB, Stealth Rock, Volt Switch and HP Ice. I SPECIFICALLY used it to surprise insta kill Landorus-Ts with full spA HP Ice on lead because no one would ever switch out a Landorus on Cobalion. Lol, I remember doing the same thing in the sun and moon ladder using a HP Ice Tapu Koko. It would have made more sense if they were choice scarf but I never met a choice scarf Landorus T on ladder to my memory
Cobalion was one of the few legendaries I used in game since you can catch him relatively early and he meshed well my original in game Black team. Definitely still my favorite Sword of Justice for its noble style and stature.
The Swords of Justice have easily the most borked official pronunciations of any pokemon. Cobalion as in Cobalt? That thing it's named after? No, co-BAY-leon. Virizion as in Viridian, the color it's named after? No, it's pronounced like Verizon Wireless.
Cobalion is genuinely one of the very few legendaries that just hit it right for me from both an aesthetic *_and_* a gameplay viewpoint. It honestly makes me feel like a kid again, where using legendaries didn't feel so dirty back then -- and that's not something I can usually say about Gen 5, AKA the Powercreep Gen.

It’s pretty much guaranteed we will see the last two, whether it be in Indigo Disk or through an event raid again is up for debate but it’s certain they will show up
Cobalion with 20-30 more points in attack and that much less in special would be nuts. Any more and banned to Ubers lmao. Probably in that range or before but unsure how much
Exactly what I was thinking. Take 30 points away from SpA and give it 120 physical attack and this thing would go crazy hard. It could take hits, give hits, and out speed certain threats.
I remember using the Master Ball on Cobalion and just using a quick ball on the box art legends since I couldn't catch the Cobalion. I couldn't catch the other two Swords of Justice which is sad.
Box art Legendaries almost always have a higher catch rate than other Legendaries so using a Master ball is definitely a waste on Pokémon like Dialga or Zekrom.

Cobalion, my favorite legendary! The first one I actually used on a team, on one of my journeys in Black 2! The problems appear on the defensive side, with weaknesses against 3 of the most common offensive types, and a very problematic special defense..... Even in the face of all these setbacks, we can say that he has always competed at medium and high level, despite the almost zero presence in VGC!!
Co-bay-leon is a weird pronunciation, considering it’s based on the word cobalt. Also, Virizion is pronounced Vir-I-zeon despite being based on the word viridian.

His offensives are below what is expected, although he is the most versatile pokemon of UU and definitely is an achievement that not many legendaries that are not iconic like Zapdos or Lando have, but the fact that he can't kill from 1ko to many pokemon can condemn him too much (I always said that giving him 100/100 in physical and special attack would be a good idea, more to leave Lucario base more outclassed than he already was in Gen5). and the one that I definitely think Iron Crown won't repeat. 3. It needs a recovery MU, if it had one, many matches would not be decided by chip damage, even more when currently pokemon like greattusk that take little damage from rocks, now suffer from spikes and are forced to use Heavy-Duty Boots at best (they can perfectly give recover or roost and even rapid spin or defog support options maybe...) The only reason I can think of as to why PokeDex 3D Pro pronounces Cobalion as "Co-BAY-Leon" might be because it's trying to incorporate the animal-inspiration's name, the legendary Yale (not to be confused with the University that shares the same name-- and uses the creature as a mascot)... but even I have my doubts on that stretch of a reason...
The only thing I'd do for Cobalion and crew, is make Justified an immunity to Dark and Ghost with the plus one attack. That would make tools like Knock Off even more of a risk to be throwing around or spamming as it so often is.
@@homerman76 I think there should be more counter-play to things like knockoff. This could potentially allow other interesting moves like Poltergeist to be just unviable as a solo ghost stab. Either that or it would dictate the need to have more coverage. I love the Swords of Justice mons. Some of my favorite subset trio legends.
Here's hoping that Cobalion's regional variant, Iron Crown, is also good! Psychic/Steel used to be the strongest dual type, and Psychic Noise and Tachyon Cutter ought to be great moves to run on a Calm Mind set.

The flashbang when the first thing i see when opening the video is "Testicular cancer" in the description.
It's always been weird to me how they made the Three Musketeers... in the US region... immediately before having a France region.
The Swords of Justice are also the first time we had Fighting types who aren't bipedal.
The only reason I can think of as to why PokeDex 3D Pro pronounces Cobalion as "Co-BAY-Leon" might be because it's trying to incorporate the animal-inspiration's name, the legendary Yale (not to be confused with the University that shares the same name-- and uses the creature as a mascot)... but even I have my doubts on that stretch of a reason...
I’m BEGGING you to do Terrakion. I want to know it’s history
Oh wow. We found the legendary FSG video that doesn’t tell stories of bans.
Slightly off topic, but how many people remember the Cobalion from Rumble Blast?
As someone who owns a copy of Pokemon Rumble Blast, I certainly do.
Finally I’ve been waiting for this one
This is one of the only video where I wanted to watch the sponsor segment because of how good False Swipe Gaming did it.
The only thing I'd do for Cobalion and crew, is make Justified an immunity to Dark and Ghost with the plus one attack. That would make tools like Knock Off even more of a risk to be throwing around or spamming as it so often is.
Not a bad idea since he normally resists both anyways, so it's not too op, but it still has utility in negating knock off
@@homerman76 I think there should be more counter-play to things like knockoff. This could potentially allow other interesting moves like Poltergeist to be just unviable as a solo ghost stab. Either that or it would dictate the need to have more coverage. I love the Swords of Justice mons. Some of my favorite subset trio legends.
Feel like you should've waited January so we could compare it to its future form
Today I witnessed Heracross use dark pulse in a competitive setting. Today was already shocking.
It's zoroark in disguise
@@shawnli4746 I forgot it was gen 5 god damn
I agree, one-hundred percent, with that retcon.
Day 496.
I'm never gonna give up on quagsire remake
Two of the Swords of Justice got done dirty if you ask me.
My favorite legendary ever, thanks to Rumble Blast
I just discovered Cobalion is a mixed attacker.
Dragalge, magcargo, drifblim, Aegislash or rotom and all of his forms! 💪💪💪
nice to see my first ever legendary was a mainstay in the 2nd best tier
I always said it the way the pokedex said it lol
Can't wait for, how OK was Dipplin actually
Here's hoping that Cobalion's regional variant, Iron Crown, is also good! Psychic/Steel used to be the strongest dual type, and Psychic Noise and Tachyon Cutter ought to be great moves to run on a Calm Mind set.
