Some fun ideas to further practice your French: 1- Playing games in French. Honestly this can be any game you like, but I’ve been playing Brain Test and Criminal Case in French when I’m bored; they particularly help you with your vocabulary. 2- Using double subtitles. There are chrome extensions that help you to put two subtitles in different languages; I find them particularly helpful especially if you are a beginner watching French movies/tv shows. 3- French webtoons. This one weirdly did not occur to me until I saw it in a video, but especially if you want to get more familiarized with daily phrases and more cultural aspects of French this might be a fun way to consider. 4- Turn your phone French 5- Journal in french; write short stories maybe 6- Use AI for help. For example, I have no one around me I can practice my french speaking skills with. If you are in the same situation, you don’t want to meet strangers online, or if you are a bit shy to talk to people in french yet, you can ask Google Assistant or Siri some questions in French to get some momentum for now. 7- Record yourself talking in French. It is a good practice to talk out loud; you can even talk about something simple like how your day went. Again, a good way to get some momentum if you don’t feel ready to talk to people in French. 8- Reread your favorite book or watch your favorite tv show/movie in french. If you’re already interested in the story, it makes it more fun to learn a language. That’s all I have for now I think. Lovely video!

I've been learning French on and off since 2008 and I actually lived in Paris for almost 3 years. As a busy pastor, I don't have a chance to speak French to the congregation but since I am now in Québec, I am determined to be a French speaker. Have you tried Pimsleur? I've found it very useful. Except for learning grammar which I have to do apart from it, Pimsleur lets me improve and correct your pronunciation, builds up my vocabulary and listening skills. More importantly, you inspire me to get excited again in learning French. In 2 years, I will visit France again and I want to be able to speak French without my wife helping me.

As a native French speaker, through daily practice and commitment, one can learn to fluently speak the language with ease. The learning curve is not as steep as one would expect. My suggest would be to set goals that can be used as benchmarks and consume as much French material as possible so that your mind will adapt and make connections.

I want to visit both France and Canada someday, so I need to start learning French (I know Canadian French is different from native French, but gotta start somewhere ya know). This video came out at exactly the perfect time for me to start learning. Thank you so much for these resources!
French-Canadian here! Canadian French is not that different from European French, it's mostly the accent and the colloquial expressions/slang that widely differ. Starting with standard French/French from France is a great idea, eventually you can just start to incorporate French-Canadian audios in your language journey and you'll be good to go!
There are also Overseas parts of France, in the Caribbean Gouadeloupe, Martinique & French Guyanese, in Pacific there are Tahiti & New Caledonia. There are also many N W & Central African ex(?colonies. You Tube has at least 1 video of Francophone communities around the world, like S of Louisiana & many obscure towns in other states, Pondicheri & 1 other town in India, etc. W Hemisphere details US Louisiana French speakers include Cajuns Creoles (? linguists speak of a different language) Homa, etc. Indigenous peoples Canada--Métis ethnicitypart French & part Indigenous. I'm a junior in high-school currently and will be going to a collage in France. Though I still have many years until I book my flight, I am incredibly excited and want to start preparing now. I took Korean lessons for 2 years and I enjoyed it. The pronunciation rolled off my tongue really well, and made it satisfying to speak. It even made me think, "Well maybe language learning isn't that hard!" However I was mistaken... Though I have only just begun learning French, the pronunciation does not come easy to me at all like Korean did. The letters aren't nearly as bad though thankfully. Kind of struggling right now, wish me luck!

I'm a French native speaker, learning English and Italian at school for a couple of years now and I've always been grateful not to have to learn French because among European languages I find it the most difficult. Good luck, bonne chance, to all of French learners.
I know I'm late to the game, but I think French is easier to learn for a German speaker, like myself. We have three genders for things and no indication to what object got what gender. A boy is masculine ("der Junge"), a woman is feminine ("die Frau"), but a girl? Neutral. It's "das Mädchen", for absolutely no reason. At least in French, most feminine words end on an e as an indication, but German doesn't have that luxury.
@Levi_is_Smol I agree with you. However, about the ending of the words not giving a clue in German, I've heard that the words that end in -ung are often feminine. Moreover, not every word ending with -e in French is feminine. For example, un trombone. 📎
I used to be able to speak French when I was 13. I was so motivated and even convinced my parents to sign me up to a language school. The teacher who was coming to my home was so boring, honestly that forever discouraged me from learning. And I coudn’t break the contract we signed or change the tutor! The classes were so boring and only based on a coursebook. I hope to relearn it in the next 5 years. It’s a really beautiful language.

As a native French speaker, through daily practice and commitment, one can learn to fluently speak the language with ease. The learning curve is not as steep as one would expect. My suggest would be to set goals that can be used as benchmarks and consume as much French material as possible so that your mind will adapt and make connections.
Bravo ! (de la part d'un français)
Can u tell us what is ur method of learning merci d'avant
I love the way she broke it down.... thanks so much ☺️
I want to visit both France and Canada someday, so I need to start learning French (I know Canadian French is different from native French, but gotta start somewhere ya know). This video came out at exactly the perfect time for me to start learning. Thank you so much for these resources!
Good timing !
French-Canadian here! Canadian French is not that different from European French, it's mostly the accent and the colloquial expressions/slang that widely differ. Starting with standard French/French from France is a great idea, eventually you can just start to incorporate French-Canadian audios in your language journey and you'll be good to go!
When kids learn French in Canada it's standard French.

I love her advice. It is so well informed and so well organised! Hats off! I can't imagine the amount of work she has done to put this video together. While being so methodical and calm. I loved all her resources! Unfortunately, Bussuu did not work for me. I am still sticking with Duolingo and Language Transfer. But i am pretty sure that is just me. I am EXTREMELY grateful for folks such as you egg have have learning in general so much more accessible! Thank you!!!!
我正在博树app学法语,刷到这个视频,又看了阿拉伯语那期,博主简直是个语言天才
Thank you for the resources. Years ago I progressed to B1 but I haven't practiced French in years. At least now I know what resources to use to get back on track with French.
💪💪💪
Really need to see your video for B2 and C1, I am currently transitioning to B1. I am relying mostly on reading French text right now, and watch some French vids for like 30 mins a day. Once my brain gets familiar with French, I will get an advance grammar book as side activity and but still keep reading French most of time.
Wait for the next video 😉a lot to share

@@RashaAljamil Hey Sarah, what's your native language, and which language are you looking to practice?
thank so much Dr Zoe for sharing the resources for beginner level. I skipped frech class in high school and now procastinating in my college language course. I wish there was well structured resource like this for learning Korean.
I'm from Brazil and speak portuguese! Your channel is incredible!
Thank from Brazil ✨️🇧🇷

For anyone who comes across this video. I also recommend News in slow french. The amount of vocabulary is sooo good.
My parents languages are similar to french and my whole family exept me and my siblings speak french and i want to learn! my parents use it as a secret language so I want to be able to eavesdrop. Au Revoir!
Hahahaha bon courage
Zoe Languages is the definition of over qualified, thank you for everything you do!
Zoe, thank you so much for this video. I've been study french for several years but I haven't been really consistent with my study, and this video is really motivating. I'm going to look the resources you mentioned.
French is also a language I’ve been trying to learn by myself! I found TV5 Monde and got confused. Didn’t know where to start! I really felt like the lessons there are all around the place. And you’ve just confirmed it. I’ll try and start with the other website you recommended. 😄
Use it at A2 level
That video is literally BEST roadmap video for French. You are so great person! Like i am really impressed.. Have a nice day, et Merci beaucoup!!!
Français avec pierre is so good I really recommend it
Yes, so far I took his 2 classes. Next I will take a pronunciation class.
ویدیو های یوتیوب اغلب زیرنویس فارسی ندارند چقدر خوشحال شدم که این ویدیو زیرنویس فارسی داشت ممنون از زحمات شما❤
My first French lesson was 2 weeks ago and I want to say THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! ❤
Merci beaucoup! ❤
My aim for this year to reach the beginning of B1 level!
💪💪💪bon courage !
I am so glad to have found your channel. I’m from Turkey. I’m starting B1 in Russian and have been dreaming of speaking French for years. Thanks to your recommendations, I feel very motivated to start learning. Also my brother is in love with the Chinese language and tradition, he’s learning Mandarin and he loves your channel as well😇❤️
Thank you so much Zoe for your helpful video! I have been trying to learn French for 3 years but I am always in the middle of work and other commitments. Therefore, I don't feel like I am achieving much. With your structure, I feel I will have a new start on my learning journey to make things right this time! Thank you so much!
I'm a french native, electronics and computer nerds , at 8:47, the Website "Le français facile" is not vintage, it may look vintage to 202x people, but it's just that it's designed like the HTML standard site around 1990/2000. No fancy and funky things which are common nowaydays. 🙂
I'vz discovered your video today and like them, good job!
Zoe, could you make this kind of video about Arabic? It's quite hard, at least, different language, i think, so it'd be interesting to see how did you learn it!
On the schedule
girl i’m an arab and i really do not recommend u studying this language as it’s so darn hard even for me, the grammar and the prononciation is so hard it litteraly keeps going, i have a arabic class at school and it’s seriously hell
heads up, the arabic video is up, just finish watching it.
@@me-vd7rm i am arab too and honey you just didn't learn to love it, or maybe you didn't have good or nice teachers but the language is amazing and its so different from other languages no matter how many i learn i still think arabic holds a special place in my heart so i think its your personal experience rather then the language itself
@@zoe.languages Nice thank u. We all wait it
It is very impresive in my opinion that your native language is chinese and you speak french, english and other languages on such a high level 😮 for an asian person european languages are as difficult as asian languages for european l, im very proud of you and thank you for the tips ❤
Hi, I'm profoundly grateful with your video which is so detailed. I have learned French for 3 months and this video is really really useful for me. Thank you! You are such an inspiration.
what else helped me was watching french series. i would watched the same serious over and over again w subtitles and when i started to focus more i would take off the subtitles
I have some easy French short stories on my channel. They’re narrated in slow French so that you can improve your reading and listening skills. Happy learning!!
I really don’t know how to thank you for this great video its really help a lot and I will pay attention for every word you said.
I study French and English language as a major at university and this was very helpful thank you a lot!❤️
Happy to help!
Thanks a lot for ur videos. I have too poor english skills, there is not a lot good guides or lesson, i started search English RUclips and found this brilliant. I have bad English skills but a understood 95% of video❤
Super inspirational! I've always wanted to have a conversational level of knowledge of the top languages in the world and was really impressed by your grasp of multiple languages. I studied abroad in Cairo ten years ago, where I studied colloquial Arabic but have not kept on with it. Now I'm learning french and your detailed breakdowns and study ethic really help to demystify the process of how to move from curious/beginner to gaining different levels of fluency. Thank you for sharing!
I am so glad 🥰
Hello there. I'm an Indian here. I don't know how to thanl you. Like than you so much for real. For real. It's really great. I don't what to say anything else. You've provided with expensive knowledge here ❤

I'm glad I ran to this video as I started learning French a couple of days ago. My mother language is Serbian and French is completely different.
Bon courage à tous ceux qui veulent apprendre le français ! Elle n'est pas simple dans sa prononciation ni dans son orthographe mais, au moins, vous maîtriserez l'art du "oui oui baguette"
The way this girl helps me with all my languages is crazy, love your videos, keep it up ❤️🔥
Hello everybody! French is such a beautiful language. So I decided to learn French. I think I can do it. But also I have a little fear that this language is hard(my familiars said). Well I wish to everyone who learn French, determination and motivation. 🫶🏻

Hi Zoe! I’ve been following your channel for a while and I love your videos! I just started learning Arabic, and I’ve been using the resources from the description box of some of your videos in Arabic. I was wondering if you could make a full video telling us how you started learning Arabic and how you study it. It would be super helpful. Thanks!!
Hello, I'm a native Arabic speaker. I just wanna say, Arabic May be a bit hard but don't give up on it so easily, I'm sure once you understand how things go you'll get the hang of it! Also, if you have any questions feel free to ask me, I'm no teacher but if I know the answer I'll tell you :D 💙

Thanks for sharing and shall start it small and then growing big. ( Already a leaner of Japanese and I speak 3 language within China but still find it exciting to learn a lot more and explore the world.) Your hints and methods had been super duper helpful and throughout the year, I found myself have even better English than the time I was studying in the UK. So surely it's a lifetime journey and I did enjoy it with more fun and efficiency with Zoe's sharing. Thank you
I'm a French native speaker, learning English and Italian at school for a couple of years now and I've always been grateful not to have to learn French because among European languages I find it the most difficult.
Good luck, bonne chance, to all of French learners.
try to learn polish 🤣
@@hanswaltz Well I saw a TikTok about that the other day and... Yeah, guess it's even more difficult. 😅
Good luck, courage again. 🙂

Bonne présentation, J’suis personnellement satisfait de la méthodologie que tu démontres pour apprendre le Français. Langue latine et facile à apprendre car elle a des interconnexions avec l’Anglais - l’Espagnol et donc si compliquée comme le Chinois…….
Bonne initiative 👍
as someone from North Africa, I found pronunciation easy , so I'm focusing on grammar and vocabulary

Zoe, your video is such a blast! Thank you, truely! We have some much resources, especially for widely popular languages like french, and the irony that I personally just drown in analysis-paralysis from options. Somethime you just really want someone to give you a list and order to do it, despotic way) Thank you, you've given tools to organise myself a bit
Glad it was helpful!
謝謝你的分享, 已經學習法語2年多都還卡游移在A1-A2之間, 完全不知如何安排學習計畫, 很高興看到這支影片, 好實用!!!

Thank you very much for sharing. I visited south Belgium last week and I was fascinated with the culture, the people and with this fascinating French language. I'm starting today to learn.

Bonjour ! J’adore vraiment vos vidéos! Si possible pourriez-vous faire la même type de vidéo pour l’anglais ?
Oui ! C'est déjà au programme ☺️
Thanks for the video! im brazilian, and have no idea how I learned english tbh. This video is going to help me a lot!
Both websites are very difficult for beginners to navigate. It was a daunting site to see.
J’aime la langue française. Je suis brésilienne et j'espère aller en France l'année prochaine. Merci pour la vidéo !
Bonne vidéo tu devrais vraiment faire la même vidéo avec l’arabe en fonction des niveaux !! Même si tu as déjà fait une vidéo avec les ressources que tu utilises. D’ailleurs à quand une vidéo en arabe ça fait longtemps j’aimerais troop entendre tes progrès ❤️😘
Bientôt!
I'm so thankful ✨ I was so confused how to start learning French
Hi Zoe! I love your videos and find your language learning journey so inspiring! My father is Persian and I am trying to learn the language, so I was wondering if you could make a video on how you learned Farsi/what resources you recommend. If you are unable to make a video, any resources or tips you would be willing to share would be much appreciated! Thank you! 💕
You can already check out the community post for the Persian learning resource. I will make a video about it in the future

Hi Zoe, your videos are wonderful and I love the resources that you provide for learning French. It is not an easy language and it isn't helping me immensely. I understand you aren't learning Korean, but I was wondering if you heard of good Korean resources to for beginnings that want to reach A1-B1 level?
