    It would be cool if you do a complete engine build naming everything. Also, tips and tricks, where to lube and why. Just an in depth video with good information for ppl to learn.

    Nice build. It’s good that you show things don’t just jump together without issue. For a twin turbo 427, I’m sure there’s way more than 1200 hp available with more boost, so this should live a long and happy life.

    pretty much the same as my build except I'm using Lunati crank and Manley rods both have proven themselves as top class units , I'm using the same JE pistons and rings I'm staying with an alloy block as weight is an issue for me I am going to have the block and heads o-ringed and using a big 98mm single Turbo haven't got the room for 2 small ones which will take mine over the 1000hp pretty easily

    Torqued the ARP rod bolts but didnt (on camera)check the stretch? I thought ARP rod bolts are to be stretched and their torque value is a guideline to get you to the recommended stretch but could be lower or greater than the torque valve?

    nice job but end play on the crank vs the rod cap movement should be mesured. eveything moves under pressure and rpm. on automatics transmissions. Because over time that thrust end play will expand. and the crank will walk so you must know for the sake of the rod bearings how much it moves with the rods installed. one thing guys over look or just dont think about it. could be a nice experiment for you or a video

    I noticed that you used a quality Single Row timing chain set. Do these single Rollmaster timing chain sets have any advantage over a double row set? Thanks

    • @musclecity06
      @musclecity06 Год назад +2

      a single row is easier to fit...also if the valve train is stable you wont have any issues with a single chain...they have been proven in HIGH hp setups..

    Is there anything fundamentallly wrong with building to this level and then dialing it way back for peace of mind? Like would there have to be different choices made along the way to accommodate that slightly different goal? Looking to eventually implement a "do it once, do it right, drive tf out of it until I eventually die 65 years and a couple million miles from now" type solution. 😂

    Can you run a 24x crank in a Gen4 6.0 LS block meant for 58x? Does it change as well since the camshaft sensor is on front timing cover and 4x instead of 1x that the 24x crank is usually paired with? I know a bit out there. 🦅

    • @JacobVillemain
      @JacobVillemain  Год назад +1

      I wouldn't. 58x is a lot better than 24x stuff. Lingenfelter makes a 58x to 24x converter box if your ECU is 24x.

    • @Ghost_2366
      @Ghost_2366 Год назад +1

      @@JacobVillemain What's your opinion on converting an early 6.0 to 58x? I will be using Holley EFI, forged rods and Pistons, stock crank, turbo charged. Are there any benefits? Would I just need to swap the 24 wheel for a 58 and use the timing set and cover for a front cam sensor?

    • @JacobVillemain
      @JacobVillemain  Год назад +1
