Your peaceful music and visual process are heartwarming. This video is expressing exactly what I wanted to know about distress and oxide inks. 👍🎉
What a great idea! The colors are so vibrant and beautiful!
Oo Dipping the stencils in sprays is an awesome idea!!! I love so many of my stencils but wish I could print the actual stencil clearly, not just the holes. And this achieves exactly that super easily!!!! Thank you 😊
So pretty. Can’t wait to see what you do with these beauties.
Dramatic results, thanks for the tutorial.
Completely wowed by this technique. TFS.
Can’t wait for next week, to see how you use them. 😊
You are so creative, and I love the music!

Thank you! Can’t wait til next week! You leave nothing go to waste! You turn what I would wipe or discard into more beautiful art! 👍❤️
So eager to try
Thank you thank you!
You are AWESOME!!!!!!
Love this technique!!
This is absolutely wonderful. Love the changed color using the baby wipe! In the previous video where you stamp on these, cut and create amazing images, one of the questions I had was what you used as a resist to create the amazing white circles, ovals, and half circles. It was the reflection of your lighting. 😂😂😂. If I want that I guess I can cut out those shapes and add them. Don't think I will, but that is my mind coming up with a solution. White embossing powder might work, too. Guess I will need to rewatch that video to see how attached I am to the idea. LOL. 🙏💌💐
hahaha that's funny! ♥
Oh that is so cool! Thanks!
These are so cool
TFS this cool video, I have so much glossy paper left over, what a good idea to use it for mixed media :)

You're totally brilliant, Amber, and such an inspiration. The backgrounds are so beautiful ❤❤
I could have watched another half hour of making these ❤️❤️❤️
I’ll be back next week 😊
These are gourgous! I would love to tuck them in my journal. I need more Distressed Inks & Oxide Inks in my life.
Very cool!!
As always, Friday eve the best time of the week - to watch your gorgeous art play. You are super FANTASTIC Amber!!!! 💟
Beautiful backgrounds 😍 I love how the leftover ink from one card begins the colour on the next - no ink is wasted
So cool. Love how the Oxides change color when wiped off. Now to find some photo paper. TFS
Such a beautiful technique on photo paper. Can’t wait to see what you create next week using them. tfs✨💙💚💖✨
Cool… thanks for sharing your creativity! I’ll look forward to seeing you use these glossy papers. Have a great day! 🙂
Wow! I thought only alcohol inks worked on this paper. Never thought to try anything else.
I’m intrigued by this, so I’m watching again 🙂
I did see your next wonderful video of what you made with these afterwards ❣️
I’m wondering now...if I could put them through the printer, after it’s all dry.
Maybe print some different images in black and white, after these first steps.
It’s worth a try
Loved this I never wanted the video to end, thank you for sharing your creativity

Gorgeous backgrouns! Can you please supply a link to the cards you made with them? Many thanks!
****Please HELP****
I started making cards a long time ago in 2003 but had to stop for many years- single mom. I started again in just this last year I spent tons of money buying things because I literally had nothing. Now I am realizing what my taste really is an what I prefer and I'm afraid I bought alot just because it was used in a video I saw and I needed everything. I have no friend stamps. no beach or sea stuff, etc. What I need help with from you Amber, is I still want to make cards, but I want to stick with the colors that make me happy and then have some I can use for mens cards. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR COLOR SCHEME THAT YOU WORK IN ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY. I only have 9 distress oxide colors and I wanted to add to those with the reinkers and more colors but it is impossible to decide what to get as there are so many close to each other. I see they come in a bright, more pastel and kind of a dusty selection that you can get several colors in. I started with the brighter ones like Kitsch, squeezed lemonade, saltwater taffy, the lime citron one, mermaid lagoon, etc. I love the pinks as that is my favorite color, but I need to be very careful and can only do a little at a time. Could you PLEASE share the colors that you use the most often because they are colors that make me happy and go well together. I also want to add sprays, but I don't know if it's best to do dylusions, or the matching oxide sprays. I am very OCD and like to have things that coordinate well. But I don't know what is best. I'll have to start out little and add to it. I am so confused. I love the multi media but want to downsize it for cards and keep it more minimal. Everything you do makes me happy. I am on disability so I can't make anymore dumb mistakes and order things to fill a hole I have in Valentines Day stamps unless I really like it. I have so many big floral stamps I will never color. I don't like coloring like that. So if you could help me with the colors you like and use most and if you think it is good to have one or both of the sprays, dylusions, and oxide that would help greatly. I have a few Dina Wakely things and some paints too. I honestly feel like quitting or throwing it all out except the things I know i can use alot. Anyones help is appreciated, but i asked you Amber because I love the colors you use. Thank you. Sorry so long. Denise
I started making cards around the same time! Then started art journaling in 2014. I only learned in the last few years to only buy the colors I know I'll use. WE DON'T NEED EVERY COLOR AVAILABLE. Plus the more you have, the more overwhelming it will be. However, sometimes it is hard to know what your color style is until you've been at it a while. Believe it or not, I only have 15 Oxide ink colors! =O If you can only buy 3, I recommend .....
Picked Raspberry
Peacock Feathers
Fossilized Amber
The other colors I have are..... (in order of most to least used)
Worn Lipstick
Vintage Photo
Abandoned Coral
Spiced Marmalade
Antique Linen
Black Soot
Broken China
Cracked Pistachio
Peeled Paint
Twisted Citron
Wilted Violet
Salty Ocean
If I were to buy some of the newer colors, I would choose...
Salvaged Patina
Saltwater Taffy
Kitsch Flamingo
Crushed Olive
Ripe Persimmon
Spun Sugar
Dried Marigold
Tattered Rose
Oh geez, I have quite a wish list now! lol I describe my color preference as "bright pastels, OR creamy brights."
I LOVE to add white paint to a bottle of paint that I don't use much, to make it a more pastel color. That is a great, less expensive way to grow a paint color collection you love. Mix em til ya like em! =)
Hope that was helpful! ♥♥♥
@@AmberKCreative toms of help! Thank you so much! I saw that about mixing with white to get more quiet pastels. Your pages just make me feel so good. But I have to say, just last night, looking for a color chart o ran across a 40 oxide ink pad lot for $119! Well I was going to add about 10 and that would have cost close to this lot! They came from a craft store, sealed and brand new. So I’ll take out the colors you listed and work with those until I get more comfortable then I’ll try one here and there of the others. I have candied apple, kitsch fl, saltwater taffy, squeezed lemonade, spiced marmalade, peacock feathers, mermaid, some purple and black soot. There’s a lot of blues and greens that look too close but I’ll see. Thank you for your help. It brings me such peace and happiness just to watch you. It’s mesmerizing how the creativity just flows out of your mind and body. Thank you for sharing that with all of us!
@@AmberKCreative btw…. I feel overwhelmed all the time. So many choices and I don’t have much time so there’s a lot of techniques I haven’t even tried. And now I want to do more mixed layered backgrounds with my cards. Be sure of this, I’m watching! Keep creating! Your work brings happiness to others!
👏👏👏👏👏💝😍😍😍 Merci 🙏
LOVE this!!! I have stacks of photo paper just sitting around collecting dust. So glad to have a use for them now. Loved the flower stamp too. I don't have many stamps that just give an outline. Would you share the maker and name of this stamp please?
The flower stamp is Dina Wakley/Ranger. =)
@@AmberKCreative Thank you Amber. I found it and ordered it :)
Can you stamp onto the backgrounds when dry...perhaps with stazon inks ?
Soooo….I really liked the blue color, before you wiped it off. Can it be left?
Hi Amber, you are awesome! A question: are the small oxides as good as the full-size ones? When is it ok to buy the smaller ones? Does it depend on the consumption and budget? Or is there a technical point?
The small ones are regular Distress Ink. The Oxides don't come in the small size. Thanks for watching!
Wipe away with baby wipe or paper towel? Baby wipes are wetm paper towels are not, which is better then?
So amazing! Will definitely be trying this. Thanks for sharing.
