6 years since undertales release.... such a small 2 hour indie game turned into years worth of fan art fan made games and a fandom that keeps itself alive with DETERMINATION

Came back to this amazing song, my Undertale phase is definitely one of my favorite phases, and while I witnessed some of the most craziest, atrocious, disgusting things in the fandom, I’ve also found a lot of amazing pieces that made me who I am today - and this song is such a big part of it. This song means so much to me, my Undertale side, who I was before, who I am now and who I will be in the future. I’m really grateful for your work, this is one of my favorites, always love your pieces, Meltberry

I found this song while going through the many, many Undertale fan songs, and though I don’t usually comment on these things, I have to say something:
This is one of the best (if not the best) Undertale song I’ve ever heard.
Every aspect of it dominoes into a gorgeous product that I can’t get enough of.
The music combined with the effects on the vocals makes this song have such a different feeling and tone than any other song I’ve heard for this topic in the game so far.
The vocals on their own, though, are some of the most beautiful I have ever had the honor of listening to. And when I say that, I don’t just mean in terms of Undertale songs, but in general, including any music released professionally for the radio and all that. You have serious talent and I wish I could personally thank you for sharing your voice with the world instead of simply through a screen, but this will have to do. Also, the auto tune that has been placed on it doesn’t take away from how much talent is still needed to sing notes like these ones in that way. They’re impressive and difficult, even with auto tune there to make it a bit easier to pass it off as being amazing. You simply can’t fake that much talent.
The lyrics are on a whole other level from what I’ve seen from other artists. I know that they don’t belong to the singer, but I felt I had to mention them just because of their greatness. They’re stunning, captivating, and so many other things that I honestly don’t have time to list. They’re unique and so much more in depth than even the most deep of any other song I’ve listened to. They make one think and, in tangent with the vocals, they convey the feelings Sans is experiencing so well, so magnificently, that I can’t express how absolutely and amazingly artistic they are.
This song is a masterpiece, and I will argue against anyone who says differently.
Thank you so much for not only sharing this song with us, but all your other pieces too, because I can never fully express my gratitude and how much I love it all.

I love how these lyrics both represents how much Sans is hurt by the genocide route (especially "Knock knock, who's there?, not my laughter" representing Toriel's death) as well as Sans's nihilism, and how he tries to hide his feelings ("my mistake to let it harm me" "maybe grinding my old scissors I could slice the look off my face")!

"my mistake to let it harm me" and that verse as a whole was a hint by Sharax about their emotions after they got a lot of harassment from Inktale fans who accused them of stealing the song they wrote, and getting no credit from all of the people re-uploading Tokyovania as Ink sans' theme. They said so on their Tumblr.
This song hits different once you realise the double, more personal, meaning in the lyrics.
