Years ago, before the fatal accident of Concorde, my family & I were at the Legoland Theme Park in Windsor when Concorde flew over. The entire park just looked up, in absolute awe at the sound & majesty of Concorde. It was an unforgettable experience. Something which remains with me all these years later. It truly was an end of an era when Concorde was taken out of service. How technologically ahead of its time it was, especially when you realise that commercial supersonic travel is unlikely to be repeated.

One thing missed in the video is that the reason pilots couldn’t see the runway was the high pitch required during takeoff due to the absence of flaps.
I miss this plane(even tho I never knew it when it was still flying), we need it back. And if I remember it right then I am pretty sure that the nose is only down for landing BC it reduced performance so for takeoff it was up but without visor.
