Hi 👋 from Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺. That looks delicious 😋. My Mum makes stews like this. I can see that you have good muscle strength. Something that isn't addressed enough amongst older people. I have a disability that affects my muscle strength. I'm in my early 50's & I couldn't lift a full pot like this. I'd have to bring everything to the pot on the stove. Doesn't matter how you get there, so long as you get there in the end.

Mmmm Granddad, that’s perfect for me. I just learnt something new, I’ve always browned my meat first, I didn’t realise I could just put it straight in the pot. I’m 67 so you still learn something new everyday. It’s summer here in Australia but as soon as it starts getting cold I’m trying it your way. Thank you for a lovely wholesome video 🥰
It actually makes the Beef more tender, you do get a little more flavour if you brown it, but with all the stock he puts in it doesn't matter, just more tender.
