SITUATION:
1917. WW1 started 3 years ago.
Germany, Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria are fighting British Empire, France, USA, Italy and Japan. Russia was defeated in 1917 and there is a Civil War.
21 march 1918: Ludenfdorff launch an offensice on the Western front. The offensive is succesfull, Germans enter Paris and France surrenders. War is over.
There is an armistice. The British naval blockade is useless after the collapse of France, so a Entente victory would be too long and costly.
The peace conferece is held in Copenaghen. It’s an armistice, not a complete German victory.
Great Britain do not lose nothing. They are not defeated, and their fleet protect Britain from an invasion.
France lose Morocco, Burkina Faso, Central Africa and Indochina to Germans. Congo is now Germsn, Germans also gain Luxembourg and half Belgium.
Serbia, Montenegro and Albania are now Austria-Hungary protectorate.
Italy have to pay reparations to Austria-Hungary but do not lose territories. Austria has enough ethinc problems.
Slavs inside the Empire are now as numerous as Germans.
Bulgaria annexes Macedonia.
Ottomans gain the control of Saudi Arabia.
The Treaty of Brest-Litovsk on 3 March 1918 remains valid. Finland, the Baltic States,,Poland, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Ukraine are now under German influence.
In the following years, Austria-Hungay Empire and Ottoman Empire do not dissolve. Germany remains a monarchy under Wilhelm II.
Hitler never rises to power.
Germans have now strong interests and colonies in Asia, and are in economic competition with Japan.
Chiang Kay Shek, with German support, bring China under his control.
Karl I is the Austrian Emperor, after Franz Joseph death in 1916.
The rest oft he World follows almost the same historical path we all know, until 1937…

Done? But the germans would never have come close to taking the soviets. Even if the allies for whatever reason didn't give aid the Soviets would have won by sheer men, the germans meanwhile wouldve been so overstretched that it wouldnt even be worth going any further. even by 1942 things werent going well for the germans , only 1941 was their glory year. I dont want to be too awfully defensive of the soviets, yes they had lost many short term wars (winter war can be used as an example) and in addition had pretty low quality equipment. but while the T-34 was very low quality, it was also very cheap and that kind of stuff works wonders in long term wars. plus germany had suffered fuel shortages too.

The Ottoman English and Italian wanted to join the war, but when it was not accepted, they went to war with the Germans in order to resist. I don't understand exactly what you're saying, if you look down on the ottoman it wouldn't be nice.

Something worth mentioning is that alternate history would also affect weapon designs and fighting doctrines. A lot of German designs in our timeline were they way they were due to shortages of certain resources, or the particular ambitions of Hitler himself.
And also leader’s unexpected decision like invading brazil or something that could basically ruins the timeline if it ever happends in ours.. Overall its pretty good
And also an decision to basically decolonise the world for germany might be too

Great scenario but I’m wondering how the German fleet was able to match both the French and British fleet? Taking too many ships from the Mediterranean would mean an axis loss in Africa as Italy(Mussolini specifically) was much too incompetent to go toe to toe with the allies
The imperial german navy wasnt reduced like in our timeline and had decades to grow. Britain and france would have had significantly smaller navys as a result of thier defeat in ww1. As well as germany being in full control of the french navy at that point.
The French and probably a chunk of the Royal Navy was fighting the Austrians and Italians
The German navy wouldn’t have been affected by the allies after WW1 and since Germany would be so powerful they would easily be able to buff it up plus the allied navy’s might have been weakened after WW1

Just a bit difference: because of the collapse of Soviet Russia, so instead, Germany is the nation who support. So, there were not communism Viet Minh anymore but an another Vietnamese nationalist force, and the result would be the same. USA lost and run away from this land.

As written, Germany is playing the role of France in this timeline against those seeking independence lead by Ho Chi Minh. In this timeline, it is the U.S. that is providing weapons and "technical experts" to Ho Chi Minh, not the Soviets. So in the case of the U.S. landing in Indochina, its troops would be greeted as liberators, not oppressors.
All this means that Nike shoe factories would open decades sooner in Vietnam in this timeline.

Parts of Canada would be U.S. States; the rest would have Puerto Rico-like status (therefore no British government in exile there). Also, couldn't the U.S. remain allies with the Central Powers against the Communist Republican forces during the Spanish Civil War - and latter against the USSR - or at least be neutral?

1 major problem. Austrian and ottoman empires would be facing major civil by the time of 1938 and so any offensive war against Russia would be meet the same way it would have been in out time line. Also Stalin would never commit suicide he would flee is bunker like a coward.

Stefan Nastovski but in the actual ww2 we were the naval superpower and in the air our RAF with the spitfire were much better trained and of course the spitfires were much better than the messaschmit (probably not spelled right) so the Germans would have failed even if they tried to invade Britain which they kind if did in the Battle of Britain (which they lost btw)

The weak point here is an extremely isolationist USA volunteering itself into this war which was clearly just another European clash of empires. There would be no support in the USA for joining another European war after having lost the previous war, when so many people would be saying "we had no reason to fight in Europe then, and even less reason 20 years later."

I like the video but the invasion of Arabia or Ethiopia would not be hard. The ottoman and Italian army weren't that powerful and the USA would have at least gotten to the Middle East. Also Austria-Hungary and the Ottomans would have been destroyed during or before this war. There were just to many ethnic tension. Besides that good video.

I think in this timeline the ottomans wouldnt be incompetant as the video states...the ottoman empire actually was going through reform b4 ww1 and was actually kinda good in an attempt to modernise the country..and with huge oil found under its land..it will be able to stock up on weapons
I have seen many of such videos and by far this is the most realistic one form the category.
One thing to mention: it cannot be overemphasized that the economy has the biggest impact on the plans. E.g. if Germany hasn't had to pay abysmal reparations it means the German economy is in far better shape than what was in real life, also it means that France is in far worst shape: no German money to pay the debts from the war, no occupation of the Ruhrgebiet, no nothing.
I would say they wouldn't even have money to establish the Maginot-line but even f they would, it would be far less strong.
Similar approach is needed for al other countries: Sovjeunion without Ukraine? etc.
I kinda doubt that France or Great Britain would have stayed Democracies/Monarchies if they would have lost.

Almost perfect timeline although the aftermath of some of the countries are debatable. For example, Austry-Hungary would still have some internal crisis between its different nationalities despite being victorious in WW1.
Also despite the fact that a conflict between Japan and the US would've been inevitable, I highly doubt they would enter in a european war unless it affected them directly. Remember that in WW2, they only intervened in Europe because Hitler declared war on them.
It's often said that Roosevelt knew that Hitler was going to declare war on US eventually so he just waited. There would've been too many American interests on table to not enter into the conflict.

The size of Germany at the beginning of this timeline is ridiculously small. Germany annexed large portions of Russia during WWI, and would have now been able to keep it. Hearts of Iron taught me that a situation such as in 12:54 is not possible, the USA would continue to bleed 2-3 Million Manpower in pointless attacks trying to retake England or France until either side is utterly annihilated and if it takes another 5 years in stalemate.
