Wednesday morning☕️ 🌄 ☕️PawPaw and Gi... Glad to see everything is peaceful this morning after hurricane Beryl is over and just a memory....It's really crazy to see everything is over, but during the hurricane it's very scary. It rained most of the day yesterday until late evening, and the sun came out, and now, next week, they're calling for 100degree weather. Can't complain bc truthfully, we have had nice weather...Well PawPaw, you and your babies take care sweetheart and for God to continue to bless 🙌 each of you!! Much ❤❤always!!

Good morning paw paw. Ivan needs to learn a little manners. He kicked at the poor little horse when they approached the treats. Naughty Ivan!😊. When you mentioned it used to be easier to get at the engines, you made me think of my dad. I was a lot like Brie when I was younger, and my dad said if I was going to jump in my car on a whim and drive off somewhere far, I had to learn to fix my car if something needed fixing. The engines were easy to get at back then. I had a 67 rambler American station wagon, a far cry from the baby blue camaro I wanted, but my dad was smart and knew a solid car and talked me into the rambler. He had me opening the butterfly valve with a screw driver, cleaning spark plugs, changing tires and everything else. He even installed a button under the hood so I could start the car from there while I worked on it if I was alone and didn't have anyone to turn it over for me. My trunk had duct tape, coat hangers and coke or empty beer can( in case the muffler seperated or came loose). I used the duct tape once when the water hose sprung a leak and it was good enough to get me where I needed to get to to replace it. I even replaced my muffler when it came off with a new one. I earned that car stripping copper off old generators and things my dad would find. He was a good man. I'd sit for hours stripping wire, and the next day when I would go back after school to strip more, there'd be twice as much stripped where dad would go and help strip and try not to let on. He had the man have my car in perfect condition by the time I was to get it. I was shocked when the man went to drive us in it before buying it. It was a standard and I learned on an automatic. Then dad said " now you drive it". I told him I didn't know how and he said well now you learn. He took me on the steepest hills at stop lights with cars right behind me. I was so nervous I would roll back into them, but he taught me well. That car I drove for 9 years before I got rid of it. It still ran, but the back floor was starting to rust out, and it needed a new clutch, so I decided it was time. I loved that old car, even if it wasn't that baby blue camaro😊. Most of all I still miss my dad, and think of him often, even though he's been gone 30 years now. God bless, and continue to find joy being with your family every day❤

Good Wednesday morning PawPaw!!! I can only imagine the Houston area without electricity with the heat and humidity. Oh my! Out here in the country we only have A/C window units. When I grew up we never had A/C in school and we were fine. We didn’t have electric fans either and played outside every day here in Texas. Mom would sprinkle my bed with water at night. I am 70 now and melt outside. lol. I call it spoiled.😂

It is so hot in eastern north Caroline that I can not cut my yard until after 7:00PM ,I Usually stop mowing about 9:30 PM, it takes me two or three days to get it done. I am 76 years farmer lady I get tired easy. God bless you and the animals. I sure am glad you did not get flooded out with the hurricane, and nobody was hurt with the wind have a fantastic day

PawPaw, good to see you out and about, caught GiGi yesterday on her video, aware that power and Internet has been down and maybe working sporadically from different houses, but wanted you to know how worried and helpless we felt, wish we could help with issues caused by storm. Heartbreaking to see Buddy's and Steph's home hit with that tree, they are such loveable and helpful young people. But grateful they were out of danger along with children during Beryl. Generators are a must for us these days it seems, even for us in Northern California. Stay strong guys 💪🏻
Hello PawPaw....my father was a cattleman like you. He raised registered Limousin Cattle (abt 100 head) whom he called his "girls". Like you he knew them all by name and walked among them loving on them, brushing them, spraying them with flyspray. Like you, he treated his girls with a firm kindness and not with intimidation and fear like so many do. He used to tell me "The cow is much larger than you are and You can rarely Force her to do something she doesn't want to do. You need to be smarter than the cow, Kris. Learn to think ahead of her....to anticipate her next move. It's far easier to coax her into thinking something is her idea than it is to browbeat or force her to do it thru intimidation or fear." I've noticed you practice this same philosophy...❤❤ His day job was at a local grocery store. He would bring home the out of date bread to give to his girls for a treat. He passed out slices of bread by hand as he walked among them. I would only do so from the bed of the truck or thru a gate...😂😂 As a result of their favored snack if any of his girls saw (or heard) the crinkle of a bread bag they all came at a dead run. Occasionally after a rain the girls would get on the wrong side of the fence at the watergap by the creek to graze in the ditch by the road. When this happened I would stuff a couple of empty bread bags in my pocket, put out some grain in their trough and leaving the gates behind me walk down the road a bit and holler "COME ON GIRLS. COME ON❗" while waving my bread bag....their heads would shoot up and here they'd come❗I'd take off back towards the barnlot at a run 🏃🐂🐃 with them in hot pursuit. Once home all I had to do was shut the gate behind them.😂😂❤😂😂 Thank you for the memory. Have a wonderful day.❤❤

Good Wednesday morning PawPaw!!! I can only imagine the Houston area without electricity with the heat and humidity. Oh my! Out here in the country we only have A/C window units. When I grew up we never had A/C in school and we were fine. We didn’t have electric fans either and played outside every day here in Texas. Mom would sprinkle my bed with water at night. I am 70 now and melt outside. lol. I call it spoiled.😂

It is so hot in eastern north Caroline that I can not cut my yard until after 7:00PM ,I Usually stop mowing about 9:30 PM, it takes me two or three days to get it done. I am 76 years farmer lady I get tired easy. God bless you and the animals. I sure am glad you did not get flooded out with the hurricane, and nobody was hurt with the wind have a fantastic day

PawPaw, good to see you out and about, caught GiGi yesterday on her video, aware that power and Internet has been down and maybe working sporadically from different houses, but wanted you to know how worried and helpless we felt, wish we could help with issues caused by storm. Heartbreaking to see Buddy's and Steph's home hit with that tree, they are such loveable and helpful young people. But grateful they were out of danger along with children during Beryl. Generators are a must for us these days it seems, even for us in Northern California. Stay strong guys 💪🏻

Hello PawPaw....my father was a cattleman like you. He raised registered Limousin Cattle (abt 100 head) whom he called his "girls". Like you he knew them all by name and walked among them loving on them, brushing them, spraying them with flyspray. Like you, he treated his girls with a firm kindness and not with intimidation and fear like so many do. He used to tell me "The cow is much larger than you are and You can rarely Force her to do something she doesn't want to do. You need to be smarter than the cow, Kris. Learn to think ahead of her....to anticipate her next move. It's far easier to coax her into thinking something is her idea than it is to browbeat or force her to do it thru intimidation or fear." I've noticed you practice this same philosophy...❤❤
His day job was at a local grocery store. He would bring home the out of date bread to give to his girls for a treat. He passed out slices of bread by hand as he walked among them. I would only do so from the bed of the truck or thru a gate...😂😂 As a result of their favored snack if any of his girls saw (or heard) the crinkle of a bread bag they all came at a dead run. Occasionally after a rain the girls would get on the wrong side of the fence at the watergap by the creek to graze in the ditch by the road. When this happened I would stuff a couple of empty bread bags in my pocket, put out some grain in their trough and leaving the gates behind me walk down the road a bit and holler "COME ON GIRLS. COME ON❗" while waving my bread bag....their heads would shoot up and here they'd come❗I'd take off back towards the barnlot at a run 🏃🐂🐃 with them in hot pursuit. Once home all I had to do was shut the gate behind them.😂😂❤😂😂
