Keith, your videos are a perfect mashup of education and entertainment. I like to call them “Edutainment”. Maybe I should copyright that and live off the licensing fees.
I have used pool noodles to make make boot stands, for my wife's fancy leather boots. It keeps them standing up straight, in her closet. They don't bend over and get the leather all messed up. It'll work the same for mens fishing / huntingboots. And would even allow for airing out fishing waders. Just cut a few long pieces, and slide them in the boots. You may need to duct tape them together, for rigidity.
I personally use pool noodles to protect my rods when in the back of the truck, just like you but secure with velcro strips you use to tie up extension cords. Awesome video!
A lot can be done with the noodles. I use them along with the 3/4" PVC and make slip floats for my 1oz and 2oz striper rigs for the river. Keep the videos coming Keith, I always look forward to your take on "how to" and DIY.
Keith, Your fishing hacks just keep getting better and more informative with each posting. I think a few pool noodle scraps might be just the thing to threaten that corny spinner bait with a floating muzzle!!! Actually he's a great addition to your zanny presentations. Loved the heat gun applications you taught...terrific info! Keep posting and we'll keep watching!
Those boxes with the compartments, like the beginning of the video. You can trim out those compartments on one side and put foam in it. More room too.. now thats awwwwwersomr
Use the pool noodle to replace outdoor foam heat pump insulation on the tubing. Ring you below grade basement windows with bright colored pool noodles to protect it from weed whacking too close.
Great tips, especially the heat gun ones. I made several of those float markers for 4wding too - Doing deep river crossings solo you can use them to mark boulders and other underwater obstacles to avoid.
I used a pool noodle on a hitch extention, the ones that you use to put a kayak in the back of a truck with the tailgate down. And a half piece of a pool noodle on the top of a tripod to hold the barrel of my gun steady for target practice.
I like it! You come up with some of the best tips I'm always looking forward to your next episode I'm fan and I'm a fisherman on a budget and you make alot of sense in my pocket
I use noodles to hold Sabiki hooks. Place weight in the middle, wrap and hook the line so when you aren't done with the rig, do this. The next time just hook to pole and unwrap to go fishing again. Simple while cheap holder.
just made a recovery collar for my dog . I cut noodle into 2 inch pieces and put a bigger collar through inside. its comfortable for her and she can't lick her wound.
Another Great Video Brother, I don't know how you keep coming up with all these Awesome Hacks , but don't stop, Keep them coming, Thanks for sharing and I can't wait for the next build
@@JT_70 OH, I know... My wife works there and I try everything... 😆 I'm just pointing out that you can easily cut any shape/length you want as much as you want without getting hand cramps for a very reasonable price. 😉
Here is a combo (pvc pipe and pool noodle) place pool noodle over piece of pvc, drill screws down thru noodle into pvc. When you pre-make leaders for quick recovery, put loop end around screw head, wrap line around noodle, set hook into noodle until needed. Keep line from tangling and easily accessible. You know what I mean
Great tips Keith! Especially like the rod socks. And if you're boating on rough water sometimes like I do, not only will it keep the poles safe it'll also keep them from not sinking if they are in the bow of the boat
i was just thinking what can be done with pool noodles, ( i use for sleeping bag pad to sleep on) and here comes your Y.T vid. good going reading my mind.
Really enjoy your hacks I use pool noodles alot in my kayak on my net handle small tackle box many other things and carry some pieces just in case I need
You can also string about 20' of rope through a pool noodle. Hang each side from your garage ceiling... This keeps your car doors from hitting into each other in a cramped garage.
What's a Fake pool noodle? An Impasta 😂 Sorry to hear about the pool noodle that was in the car wreck- he pasta way 😂 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That Cranky cracks me up! LOL and He's AWEsome!
TOP TIP: cut your pool noodle using a light sawing motion with a machete. You get nice clean straight cuts (if you take enough care) and it’s super quick and easy.
The marker buoy one will keep unrolling in the wind and/or waves. What I did was cut out a pocket inside the noodle, between the noodle and the pvc and put a weight in it. All of the round marker buoys are weighted so they don’t keep unrolling.
Pool hack #18 - this s really for those who scallop but will work for other purposes. Get a small noodle and bend it around to make a circle. Glue it in place. Take a mesh laundry bag, put the noodle in and arrange the mesh bag so that the noodle is in the top with enough space to draw the mesh bag tight over the noodle ring with the rest of the bag is hanging down- like a garbage bag in a garbage can. I use zip ties to secure the net to the noodle. What you now have is a floating mesh bag that you can drop scallops, minnows, chum or whatever else you might want. Tie a rope to it to attach to your boat and let it float. The draw string closes the bag so fish don't jump out.
If you use a GoPro camera fishing (or whatever camera?), you can add a pool noodle to the pole mount. Incase it gets knocked off, or dropped in the water, it won't sink to the bottom.... Like a rock!
Well BILLY I got a notification from RUclips saying that you said something but I never saw what you said that part never came through on my phone keep your line wet🎣🎣
On the marker buoy, put a little weight between the pipe and noodle on the same side of each noodle. That will cause it to stoop spinning once it bottoms out, and not unravel the whole line. I’ve made some of these and they work great, I have a few sets in my boat right now.
Dang brother, if I'd know you were gonna have all these great noodle hacks, I'd bought stock in the pool noodle company. All good tips, liked em all. Keep up the great work. Hey even if it's someone else's idea just compile em, give credit where due and that's good. We all gotta help each other. God bless you and your family and have a blessed day my friend.
Hey man. I don’t watch TV at all but I watch RUclips a lot. Most videos that I watch are about crime or politics. Then I see your videos and it’s like a refreshing reprieve. Every time I watch one of your videos I get all fired up about fishing and camping. You are a funny guy. I would love to go fishing with you. I have some great homemade boat modifications that I think you would love. The problem is, I don’t know how to do short videos to show you or how to send them to you. Old men like me aren’t very tech savvy. Give me a welder and some tools and I can do some really cool stuff but promoting it, I’d have to hire a young person. 😂
I'm 54 and I didn't know nothing about technology 7 years ago . But I made a video and enjoyed the outcome of it . So I kept doing it and got better and learned alot . You can do man . The only limitation we have are the ones we put on ourselves . I esky do appreciate it and thank you for watching Sir

Dollar Store Non-Stick Skillet and campstove works well for smoothing those ends and melt sections together👍🏻
Great ideas. I use them to cover the chains on my porch swing.
Use the pool noodle to replace outdoor foam heat pump insulation on the tubing.
Ring you below grade basement windows with bright colored pool noodles to protect it from weed whacking too close.
I like the life jacket for the beer can and the bucket handle!
Great tips, especially the heat gun ones. I made several of those float markers for 4wding too - Doing deep river crossings solo you can use them to mark boulders and other underwater obstacles to avoid.
Great video my friend and thanks for the shoutout.🇺🇸
Good stuff. I slip a couple over my gunnel dock side to keep it from beating up the boat. Works great easy to store.

I use pool noodles as a giant pea shooter. Ammo is cherry tomatoes or grapes. Try it. Lots of fun!
Cool Beans right there 👍👍👍👍
Dude !! I absolutely love your videos .
Love those pool noodles!
I've replaced my air bladders in my fishing float tubes with noodles in each of the bladder pockets. Will never sink.
Awesome 👍 ideas 💡 😀 🐟🐟🐟
A "hot knife" for cutting foam available from ebay and Amazon are fantastic for cutting and shaping your pool noodles. 😀
A cheap razor knife from Harbor Freight like Keith is using cuts the noodles really well.
