These features may be launched first time in India, and Kudos to Tata for that. In other countries, like USA all brands have been offering these features for at least last 4 or 5 years . I drive a 2020 Mazda in USA, and these all features are in it. All major Japanese brands and Korean brands like Subaru, Toyota, Kia and Hyundai offer these as standard features, in all theircars.The major Japanese brand(largest selling in India) and Korean brands who sell mass vehicles in budget range upto 10 lakhs don't offer these, while they offer all the features standard outside India. Again thanks to Tata who feels Indian lives are not just to grab money from, rather cares for it. And Rachit, good to see you educating masses about them.
ADAS is basically that kind of feature which every other companies would surely think of while designing their upcoming high end vehicles. Kudos to Tata for bringing this already!
Very nice features. It has all the radars and cameras required for ADAS. There is a great possibility that TATA may bring an over the air update in future that may bring Smart/Dynamic Cruise control with distance control in future. Lane keep may be difficult due to hydraulic steer.
Proud of Tata Motors 💜 One more things will be required, that is side collision and warning alert ⚠️ . Some times vehicles cross nearly 1 feet distance, it is dangerous situation.... So Rachit Ji please communicate this point to all companies 🙏
TATA service centres don't even have good mechanics for servicing their cars and imagine if this all electronics messed up in this situation you will be very pissed ! Hope TATA will improve their services in service centres across the country

A well Detailed explanation of the features Rachit Sir.. Loved it ♥ But i do feel these ADAS features are a bit of nuisance in city traffic. They work like a charm in open or highway roads. But in city conditions Majority people do prefer to turn these off especially autonomous braking. I have driven the new TUCSON and in city it really annoys when it starts braking for normal stuff. One thing i do want to ask Rachit Sir, should manufacturer provide as an option of IN-BUILT dashcam too!! In my frank opinion a DASHCAM is more necessary than any kind of ADAS Features in the current world.
Yes. Some ADAS features are not practical for Indian conditions. And it will be more of a safety hazard than safety feature. Imagine your car brakes suddenly on its own in city traffic and lead to someone banging you from behind or startling you. Or the constant distraction and looking at alerts for things which are normal on Indian roads. I guess most people will keep it switched off. And yes, Dashcam should be considered a security feature and should be given. It won't cost much. A basic in built Dashcam will cost may be 1500 or 2000 rupees to the manufacturer. And may be in future, government should make it mandatory and that no option to switch it off.
Their is a recent accident in our state due to ADAS.. The driver drive at the speef of 130+ due to emergency patient but when the driver spot some vehicle on the road blocking his way, he wants to do zigzag at the speed of 100+ , he forgot that his car has ADAS system, and when the other vehicle pop up in front, instead of appying the brake, he just wants to zizag as he on emergency, thats the time the ADAS kick in and they got a bad scary accident, and the car roll 4 or 5 times, but no one dies only the sick patient die due to late hospital.
True! But I think making a 90-95% reliable system is next to impossible on Indian roads. Even XUV700 fails half of the time and only works for 12-15 seconds. But yes, self driving car is the end goal!!
buddy both harrier and safari have hydraulic power assisted steering(HPAS), so using hpas for making ACC is not possible, and even though merc has done it, it takes a lot of r&d...
@@Shadow-cf7qd yup. Even normal cruise control are hardly being put to use, not that we don't have good roads but coz we have worse drivers, so adaptive cruise in itself becomes a feature gimmick.
@@Shadow-cf7qd ACC works always as expected in my XUV 700. It is not supposed to work detecting road conditions (say a bump) or when taking a turn and not seeing vehicle in front. Also reduction of speed on a sharp turn. It is intended for good highways.
Biggest diff is, XUV700 have Adaptive CC whereas Harrier do not have Adaptive Cruise control. Also it has only lane departure warning whereas XUV steers itself back in lane. Inshort XUV700's ADAS is far better than Safari's gimmicky ADAS.

I love my Safari Adv persona that I bought in Jan 2022..the question for me is..’what all of these upgrades can be retrofitted in the next 2022 safari?’ If at all. I would love the ventilated seats with memory function. Don’t really care about ADAS or 360(can hardest use cruise control on India..meaningful ADAS usage is very very far away)

I think just to make the upcoming face-lift version more appealing. Tata I think has just retrofitted old stock Harriers and Safaris with new tech... However liked everything except for the lack of ACC.

I felt comfortable even though I have been using an electronic steering from last 12 years... Most manufacturers I have noticed prefer putting hydraulic steering in proper SUVs
Sometimes I feel like Tata made revolution with this product .. it makes driver comfortable first then it shows its kick in the punch …. It’s just a matter of time after sales service refinement in engines and fit and finish will be taken care by Tata … Tata pioneers in introducing Nexon Ev vehicles and Number 1 .. Salute Tata guys .. I sincerely request Tata haters follow metrics and take decisions .. it’s a great product don’t miss it .. I was about to purchase vw Hyundai Honda Kia Mg ended with Tata .. don’t shout like fit and finish , after sales service etc.,, it’s my suggestion make metrics test drive and don’t go by brands .. it’s upto you .. this is a great product please don’t give negative small niggles because a few people will miss this car.. I bought the XUV 700 Ax7 At by watching your videos.
What are the differences when comparing with XUV700 ADAS?
Biggest diff is, XUV700 have Adaptive CC whereas Harrier do not have Adaptive Cruise control.
Also it has only lane departure warning whereas XUV steers itself back in lane. Inshort XUV700's ADAS is far better than Safari's gimmicky ADAS.

I love my Safari Adv persona that I bought in Jan 2022..the question for me is..’what all of these upgrades can be retrofitted in the next 2022 safari?’ If at all.
I would love the ventilated seats with memory function. Don’t really care about ADAS or 360(can hardest use cruise control on India..meaningful ADAS usage is very very far away)

Changes in infotainment and 360 camera, along with ADAS well appreciated. Anyone knows the reason for absence of ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control)?
I think just to make the upcoming face-lift version more appealing. Tata I think has just retrofitted old stock Harriers and Safaris with new tech... However liked everything except for the lack of ACC.

@@ksinghsumit I felt the same thing. Went to the showroom and drove a Safari specifically to feel the hydraulic steering... I felt comfortable even though I have been using an electronic steering from last 12 years... Most manufacturers I have noticed prefer putting hydraulic steering in proper SUVs

It’s just a matter of time after sales service refinement in engines and fit and finish will be taken care by Tata … Tata pioneers in introducing Nexon Ev vehicles and Number 1 .. Salute Tata guys .. I sincerely request Tata haters follow metrics and take decisions .. it’s a great product don’t miss it .. I was about to purchase vw Hyundai Honda Kia Mg ended with Tata .. don’t shout like fit and finish , after sales service etc.,, it’s my suggestion make metrics test drive and don’t go by brands .. it’s upto you .. this is a great product please don’t give negative small niggles because a few people will miss this car.. It’s not about patriotism but be proud an Indian in giving unbiased reviews .. It’s not vocal local .. Salute 5/5 safety.. I am still mesmerised with Nexon car .. love ❤️
