Hello Sally. it's amazing to see the detail of sewing the collar and how even you as such an experienced sewer will baste so much before machine sewing. Thank you for posting this video. Please keep them coming.
Hello, Marion, You are so kind to leave your thoughts as you do. Thank you. I really wondered if anyone would want to actually see how I sewed this dress but you have answered my question! I have SOOOOO much more planned for filming! Happy Sewing!
This is how I learned to sew in school. I appreciate your warm and professional teaching style so much - actual facts and techniques. I love that you used sewn-in interfacing for the collar, not fusible, and took into account the turn of the cloth. Did you make the portable pressing mat? If so, I would love to see a tutorial on that. Carry on!
Dear Pamackenzie, Thank you for your comment. I am so happy you like my teaching style and glad it is helpful to you. I do have a video on sew-in interfacings if you are interested. Here is the link to that video: ruclips.net/video/CHivR9HlFCY/видео.htmlsi=CL0YWrkNRHgCdT0L I did not make the portable press mat, a friend of mine made it for me. I can ask her what she used inside but think the inside is the same as the outside, wool. It's several layers just stitched around the edges and pinked. I would love to make a tutorial on this and thanks for the suggestion! Happy Sewing!
hello Sally the seam guide attachment on your sewing machine looks very good i have only seen it in one of your videos. can you film a sewing topic tip for the beginner sewers its very important to hold the thread tails behind the sewing machine while starting a new stitch to avoid problems when sewing please ok?thank you very much and yes I appreciate your professional skills and knowledge of sewing and tailoring you are truly a professional seamstress 👍👍🪡🧵
At some point I may teach a beginners course on sewing. That would be the best place for me to address something like this. Thank you for mentioning it. Have a great day!
