Allowing her corpse to be exposed to the elements, and at the mercy of animals/birds is showing contempt for her. It can also serve as a warning to others - look at this dishonoured corpse, this is what happens to people who misbehave.
Going by what she tried to do, her disposal is that of an exceptional criminal to have her corpse fed to the carrion, not only that a dishonour to the next life, no proper burial nor prayers and incense to be burned for the departing soul, in a religous term her ghost will wander the earth very unsettled.
