I’ve always been partial to Herman’s voice. I know it’s just Harry doing a bush impersonation, but dammit it’s so mellow. But he’s not as a regular like snake is, and I fully agree with you, Snake has to be my second favorite voice. It’s so outlandish and over the top, but yet also so familiar and soothing.

Simpsons Theory: Snake's forehead dent isn't random or an animation quirk. He's actually pulling a The Prestige on us. A.K.A. Snake has a twin brother that shares his jail time. Only one of them actually owns the car though.

I'd be interested to see Miss Hoover. She's one of the few characters who has been around since almost the very beginning but is used very, very sparingly.
She certainly never got close to the development that Mrs Krabappel did, despite having easy access to Lisa stories.

    • @jasonfleischer3622

She just feels like Mrs. Krabappel without the development. They both started the same, except Hoover never actually changed or got the spotlight.
But then again, she's Lisa's teacher, besides jokes about Hoover being annoyed with Lisa's eagerness, what else can you do?

    • @tiffanielafleur6597

She actually did get a spotlight episode in the most recent season and we even got to see a bit of her home life in Season 32's "Sorry not Sorry." It was pretty refreshing to see Miss Hoover get a whole spotlight episode when she was mostly just a minor character for 32 seasons. Still, I think it's a good comparison between her and Mrs. K who obviously gets way more screen time and importance than Miss Hoover does, even after her death. So yeah, I'd love to see a Simpson's history of Miss Hoover!

Simpson’s Mysteries: “The Simpson Gene” Does it exist? Is Homer’s stupidity caused by the crayon in his brain or the gene? If the latter, why is Herb successful (kinda)? I've never though of this before, but i would love to see an whole episode of Sideshow Bob and Snake together, they could make some interesting adventures.
And speaking of minor characters used sparingly over the whole series, i nominate either Duffman or Lindsay Naegle for the next one.

Still want my Simpsons Histories about the bullies, specifically Dolf (as he's the least developed of the trio). From Kearney having lived through the 70s with Otto to Jimbo being a bald coward with an on/off relationship with Chalmers' daughter, I want to dig through the layers of Springfield Elementary's baddest.

I seriously think that there should be a Simpsons Histories on Maggie Simpson. Much as I adore TheRealJims season restrospectives, Maggie is nearly always absent from the analysis. She's gone through so much over the years, including an attempted murder and her own spin-off short film amongst other things, but she is always tragically overshadowed by her vocal elders.

I love Snake. He's always been one of my favorites. Honestly I thought his full name was Snake Plisskin, I don't know where I came up with that. I must have thought he was a reference to Escape From New York. (Also you do all three of the bullies in one video. The Jimbo, Kearney and Dolf special)

Snake has the best looking car in the Simpsons. Hes just a character you want to hang out with even if hes a criminal. Hank Azaria just brings something to Snake that keeps you intrigued and honestly on his side.
I would love to see Sideshow Mel get his limelight since he seems like a tragic character being cast as a sideshow when he could be a respected actor

A great analysis of one of my favorite minor characters. Maybe current Snake doesn't have the genuine threat that he did in earlier seasons, but he's usually the best part of any given scene he has a speaking role in.
Also, disregarding later archaeological backstories, I always figured Snake had that "like, totally disarming valley-boy accent" because he drifted in from the West coast (presumably after drifting in from the EAST coast after his Middlebury/Harvard years) who just kinda ended up in Springfield and stuck with it as a hunting ground thanks to its poorly-defended convenience stores and inept law enforcement.

You gotta admit it certainly is wild, to think about the fact that Snake has been in the Electric Chair about 6 or 7 times by now, but has only actually died once and that was in a Halloween episode, so it doesn’t count. Snake seems to have a knack for surviving near to death experiences! He’s like a cat with Nine Lives! Also Snake and Wiggum have so many fun moments. I think they’ve helped make each other more popular over the years.

Snake has to be the 9th character who the writers love having subversions in showing off how cultured this thuggish character actually is. They did the same for Barney, by showing his artistic & intelligent side. Its a great joke but it is being used on way too many characters. I half expect Otto to suddenly start quoting Shakespeare classic quotes.

I agree, I would also like that someday they would make a video about these little-known Persians, Eddie was once my favorite characters, although he is still interesting to me, I have doubts that he is a good person, I know the fact that he likes to beat people with a club, I don't think he's that smart, I don’t think he’s so smart and good, unlike Lou, Lou is really smart, with a good memory this fact was shown in one episode when he arrested Mr. Burns for stealing the painting 30 years ago, and Lou learned the painting thanks to him Burns got arrested, I also feel that he is a good character, even a little vulnerable when Wiggum yelled at him and even insulted him, Lou took offense at him.

I remember when I would watch the Simpsons as a kid, I had a running personal theory that Snake was Nelson’s father. I saw clues in their appearances, their hard-bad-guy-with-silly-soft-spots characterizations, and the fact that Nelson’s dad was never around and Snake was always in jail-of course that turned out not to be the case, but it still crosses my mind every now and then when nostalgia strikes.
