Nice work! Yes, it got a tad dark in the end, but i wouldn't call it ruined. And while I do appreciate the 100% success rate movies, I feel that I learn more from videos where people mess up and show how to fix it. It makes the content more real. Think I've got to borrow that recipe for the lion pelt. :D Fully agree. The PA paints are amazing. That coverage with such liquidy paints, it's just sick. That said, I've never really got them to work with dry brushing. They're too fluid for me, I prefer to use thicker paints, GW, AK and such. GW's dry brush paints though, those are just, bad imho.
I agree that it's very valuable for tutorials to show mistakes and/or techniques not to use. Many people, myself included, improve more by screwing it up, first, then learning from our errors. Not to mention that it's good for our self-esteem to see that content creators and professionals aren't perfect, even if it's an only an illusion via the magic of video editing. It can feel demoralizing to watch some of these tutorials where competition-quality paint jobs are seemingly churned out in 20 minutes.
Just read your comment on the imperium last issue, I actually don't play custodes, but! I got a mate who's actually starting with custodes so this video will be for sure helpful for him. Anyhow I'll watch it anyway. Thank you so much for the insane good job :) (I actually bought, and tested some of the tools you recommend and hell thank you for that, it's a real good improvement from what I had). Got subscribed as well, every little helps :p at least I hope so.
Does the wash flow on airbrushed metallics in the same way as it does on hand-painted ones? If so, life just might become easier for my stormcast army painting.
Really good video. Know you are after some constructive feedback so two observations. I see some sort of framerate issue where horizontal lines appear? Tried it on a different monitor at 75hz instead of 165hz of my main screen and its still visible. Never tell your viewers to stop watching now if they want (after the gold bit) :)

Thanks for that I appreciate it, this was filmed a while ago and I’ve managed to fix the issue, it was my led bulbs
As a newcomer in miniature painting (done a lot of RC), for how long do you let dry before going on a new color/step? Full dry or still sticky?
Depends on the paint really. Touch-dry is normallybenough, butvsine paints and depending on thickness, can reactivate, even after this
What do you use for the large palette? is that a large palette for dry brushing or is that a wet palette?

you could just go to the makeup section in a walmart for example and use some makeup brushes
Yeah you could get make up brushes, but in my experience, the quality varies and a decent one will cost as much as the AO medium brush
