Hi Bryan ... I received the replacement part, black lid chord. Replaced, lights are really bright, but lid open still displays. I hate to bother you but is there any thing else I can do? Appreciate your help.
Hi Bryan, it's Jan again, I just cleaned my lense, now I am getting the yellow lines on my project, it says it could burn ? Do you know anything, I am very new to this, I hope you can help me, thanks Jan
@@janethafner7038 That message usually appears if your design has cut lines very close together and you are cutting to slow and or to much power. I get it when I test cut on cardboard.

@@BryanMakesThingse have 2pros and a plus that we use for our business. Mine run for between 12-16 hrs a day. Glowforge is a nice idea but it has a lot of design flaws. one of them being that despite the laser head looking sealed it does allow the finest of the fine smoke particles to get inside. Along with wiping the lenses you will inevitably have to take off the side lens and clean the inside of it. otherwise you will end up shortening the life of the lens.
@@BryanMakesThings hi Bryan ... I followed the steps you provided and ended up talking to a representative. A replacement part is being mailed. Thank you for your assistance.
I cleaned my pro glowforge and now it is stuck on scanning when in the app! Do you know what to do? And is there anyway to save material for things that did not cut through?
2 things. 1 I recommend using a paper towel or micro fiber towel with ISO alcohol as it evaporates and leaves no moisture. it also cuts right through the grime created by the cuts and engraves. 2. I think your lens might be a little dirty on the inside which might affect the magnet. Try using a Q tip with ISO alcohol to clean the inside. Please keep your Glowforge off while doing this though and make sure the alcohol is fully evaporated before printing. Had my glowforge for months and it still looks right out of the box. I also use can of air for the electrical components.
Thank you!!
Glowforge Pro quits engraving part way through a project! I cleaned all the lenses, and now the white light comes on. It won’t even start printing.
have you figured out the issue?
Glowforge plus quits as soon as print starts
@@rayweston6864 what error message are you getting?
Bryan, Thanks for the tips, much appreciated. Just received my GF a few days ago and have not set it up yet.
Glad to help. If you need any help or come up with some tips on your own let me know.

There is another lens on the left side as well. I been trying to figure out which tool to use in order to take it out.
Why do you want to take it out?
@@BryanMakesThings I need to replace it. There is a permanent circle on it
@@PaintCreateMotivate you will void warranty doing that i believe.

Same thing just happened to me. Thanks!
Did you ever figure it out..I'm having that same problem. Lens keeps moving even after it focuses. It'll drop and won't go back up..
Hello ... do you know how to resolve the open lid issue?
Here is a link to a discussion on the glowforge forum. I hope that it helps. community.glowforge.com/t/lid-open-when-it-is-closed/71532/10

Turn off an unplug the glowforge and exit and restart the app and glowforge. That usually works for me.
Thank you a million times for this video! Saved my ass today!
