    What other tools do you consider to be must have tools with the glowforge?

  • @whiffswiggles9918

    I love the honeycomb bed pins, I use them for the intended purpose of course, but I use them to help with the alignment of my design too. If I have a hard time seeing the edge of my piece I can usually see one of them. Thanks for the other tools, I’m going to make some today 👏👏🥳

      Were do you get the program to print them?

  • @MoniquesKeations

    The ruler pops up so small to I adjust it or print as is

    • @TheAtlantaMaker
      @TheAtlantaMaker  4 года назад

      It's fairly small. The bottom edge is 5cm or just under 2". If you open it the file directly in the Glowforge UI, it should be the correct size and be printed as is.

      @@TheAtlantaMaker ok thank you for responding. It opened up and I was like it's so small... just wanted to make sure

    What is the risers for?

    • @TheAtlantaMaker
      @TheAtlantaMaker  4 года назад +1

      The risers are used when you are trying to engrave something thicker than you can put into the Glowforge with the Honeycomb Tray still in it. So you remove the Honeycomb Tray and use the risers to get your material up into the focus area of the laser. I have a few videos where I use the risers such as the Glass Plate video, the Slate Cheese Tray, and the Father's Day Hammer video.

    Do you ever do class at your studio

    • @TheAtlantaMaker
      @TheAtlantaMaker  4 года назад

      I don't do any classes as of yet. What types of things are you looking at learning, as I could possibly make a video on that topic. You can also email me at atlantamaker.com and I can see if I can answer any questions you may have.

    Where I can download the program to cut the tools?

    • @TheAtlantaMaker
      @TheAtlantaMaker  4 года назад

      There are links in the video description to each of the files needed for each set of tools. You'll just load that file into the Glowforge UI and cut them from there.

    so i downloaded file i use corel draw save as png and pulled in file but it does not show well. and they dont all fit on file. trying to figure out what i did wrong before i try and cut

    • @trevellw8210
      @trevellw8210 4 года назад +1

      i figured it out had to cut and group

    • @TheAtlantaMaker
      @TheAtlantaMaker  4 года назад

      Glad you figured it out. If you have a glowforge, you should be able to import the files directly into the Glowforge UI.

    • @trevellw8210
      @trevellw8210 4 года назад

      Hey pin file works fine but i am having trouble with the ruler when i extract into corel draw its comes out 3d instead of flat and the file can be read. suggestions please

    • @paulkiefert
      @paulkiefert 4 года назад +1

      @@trevellw8210 If you are using a Glowforge you don't need to import any of these three files into Corel draw, you can just open up the file directly with the Glowforge software. You only need Corel draw if you are trying to modify it before using the Glowforge.

    Can someone guide me as to why I can’t download the zip files on my MAC?

    • @TheAtlantaMaker
      @TheAtlantaMaker  3 года назад

      Is it giving you an error? I use a Mac too and I just click the link in the Community post and it automatically downloads the zip file for me into my downloads folder.

    Still haven't made the "ruler" yet, but man I've gone through a bunch of hold down pins! Great video, and keep it up!

      Thanks! I was hoping to make an IKEA video tonight or tomorrow about how to make the IKEA Hack table for the Glowforge, but IKEA failed to deliver the items as promised today, so who knows when it will arrive. Planning on making some free template files for it once they arrive. So it's on to another video from my growing list of video ideas. :)

    Do you sell these

    • @TheAtlantaMaker
      @TheAtlantaMaker  4 года назад

      I do not sell these as most of these files are for personal use only, which means I'm not allowed to sell them. There are some similar things on Etsy that others have made that you could buy if you haven't received your laser yet, but they are really good first cuts when you do get your laser.
