Bryan did an interview with Shawn the Butcher on Liquid Metal today. This video was all done with stop motion and it took the artist they worked with like 6 or 7 months to complete it.
@@dingo4229 Go on Knocked Loose's Social Media. They have all the dates when the interview will re-air. I think the next re-air is tonight at 8pm on Channel 40.
Also great band, check them out. They put out one of my favorite albums this year and are about to drop a second one in the same year if I’m not mistake
Coming off of their first two albums, this absolutely feels like a full fruition for KL. I think for the first time, they really have a vision for their sound, and boy does it show. Was not expecting this to appear in my Feed today, but I’m not disappointed.
This is probably the HEAVIEST that knocked Loose has ever put out!!! These songs made me have the stank face on. It’s SOO good I have to listen to it again!!!!!
I love Knocked Loose but this isn’t their heaviest. Both Laugh Tracks and A different shade of blue were unrelenting savagery. This ep is more restrained and atmospheric.
"Their vocals used to irritate me but now I love them" if I had a dollar for everytime I had this same thought I'd have enough money to sign all those bands to them same label lmao
I can tell that their guitarist loves the wilder side of Every Time I Die. Both of their songwriting styles emphasize winding, ever-shifting instrumentation. Knocked Loose are a great blend of instantaneous meat & potatoes hardcore and unpredictable, chaotic song-structures and riffs.
i've never been a huge Knocked Loose fan but I loved this. heavy, heartbreaking, and the video really adds to the experience of listening to the album.
Yeah, I think I'll probably just listen to the whole damn thing, the video is too good not to have that accompaniment. Particularly when he has to let go and then you realize they probably both died in the crash.
This EP had absolutely no business being this heavy and amazing. The new guitarist has brought a whole new dynamic and they're on top of the genre right now 🔥
The "90's style" effect they use on the dissonant textural riffs is just a crunchy/driven tone through a light chorus effect, Deftones, Korn and Limp Bizkit use the same effect a whole bunch
I've listened to this EP probably a hundred times now (always from start to finish in order) and I have to say the entire thing feels like it builds up to that final line "when I saw that ghost was you all the lights went out." Just the raw emotion in his voice and portrayed with the instruments is like a shotgun blast to your soul. Fucking incredible.
Man. I'm literally speechless rn. I'm a big prog/metalcore/hardcore guy more than I am deathcore and the like, but I feel like this is the heaviest shit I've ever listened to. The transitions and samples almost give this a cinematic movie score, which is made even more evident by the great accompanying video. Might be the hype talking but this is S tier to me 🙏
Imo it's the contemporary equivalent of When Forever Comes Crashing, but with more breakdowns lol. The creativity is just as off the charts as Kurt Ballou in his prime. Late fuckin comment lol.
I love how other people listen to this the exact way I do - this is a beautiful album that everyone should know about. I almost hope KL only makes concept albums like this moving forward.
This Band is truely a god-tier heavy Band and Will Putney is the god of produicing heavy music. And that is his best work yet. And probably KL's best release, even tho everything they've done is perfect imo. But they get better and better. This Band can't let me down.
@@joehardwaree well he can definitely play it like he wrote it lol. Seen them twice on the tour with Gojira. One of the times right in front of him and he was awesome
Some of the best material I've ever heard from these guys. I love the band Orthodox and KL had a couple of moments on this EP that reminded me of them. As if I needed more reason to like this band.
For the first time in my life, music has terrified me. I'm all about it. And of all the possible bands to do it, it was Knocked Loose. Not Devourment, not The Body, hell not even Jazz could shake me to my core quite like this EP.
The same guy who made this video also did the video for Meshuggah’s I am Colossus. You can definitely see the same style in that video as well. It took him 8 months to do the video for Knocked loose’s ep.
Kinda hurts to think about how underpaid he probably is. This is amazing work, but I doubt he gets paid more than 10 dollars per hour he works on this. It’s usually like that for creative minds in the CGI / 3D modeling and Video Editing communities.
Saw dudes last week, & not only was it the most pissed brutal fuck fest but these dudes were IMPECCABLY tight.. all the tempo changes & working around samples, stage presence was s tier just fucking 👌. KL gives me soo much hope & joy for the future of hardcore & Beatdown specifically. They arnt reinventing the wheel per say but they are authentically themselves, they know what the fans want & they deliver. Plus Bryan's voice sounds like nothing else in the game dude I mean it's similar to Andrew from Stray From The Path but even he isn't this PISSED.
I was at the gym when I first watched their RUclips video for this EP and I just really don't think I needed to be doing cardio at that time. Almost had a heartattack. Fucking riiiipsss
If you want a similar listening experience, I'd reccomend reacting to Katahdin - "No Longer Room For Us. 3 song EP condensed into a single music video, played in the same style/genre as this, but it's a different beast all its own. This EP is fantastic. KL stepped their game up so hard and really let their death metal influence shine here. Great reaction as always 👍
@METALBIRB A Tear in the Fabric of Life is a work of art, musically and with this animated video visually as well! It makes such an impact on so many levels, you wanna bang your head while your jaw drops to the floor and yes, while being bonecrushing this EP as a whole makes me get emotional at times. The variety of styles, the tempo changes, the rhythm, the breakdowns, the vocals (lead and backing), the atmosphere and those little melodies and riffs that crawl underneath your skin and add an extra layer to the maniacal music just makes this EP flawless!
This is the only album that I never listened on shuffle. I can't listen to permanent without listening to the previous songs in order for some reason like the whole EP is just so amazing
as a Knocked Loose fan, I immediately preordered the ep on vinyl once watching it. My god what an experience. So awesome to hear new music still creating experiences and innovating music to be something bigger then just what it was.
Just saw them live tonight in Wichita Kansas with Gojira and Alien Weaponry. I was completely floored. Wasn’t big on them, but after seeing them, I’m a fan. The EP is sick.
I havn't really listened to this band before. Sounds heavy as hell, the kind I like. Gotta listen to more cause im not feeling the voice yet. One of those early riffs made me immediately think of Pig Destroyer(my favorite heavy band).
nearly every single person i’ve ever heard talk about KL, myself included, have said that Bryan’s vocals took a little bit to grow on them. now I love them but at first I didn’t really dig it!
Like he said, I was the same way. Loved the instruments, hated the vocals. Just keep listening to them every once in a while and one day it'll just click. Now i couldnt listen to them without the vocals.
@@Highlarious8482 especially if you read the lyrics to their songs. Bryan's vocals add so much more raw emotion to the songs once you fully understand what a track is about.
This fucking knocked me on my ass. The New Trivium was amazing but Knocked Loose gave me that same urge that i had to break things and laugh that i used to get when i was young.
I honestly don’t know if any of them has lost a loved one in a car crash but oh my god the emotions and details and portraying them feel so goddamn personal

PLEASE do the new Angelmaker material, such a knee slapper. Vengeance is my favorite, they stated with that track they wanted to pay homage to true OG death core fans and boy it delivered!!
There’s something in the production of Angelmaker’s new stuff that makes my ears feel weird. Like some tinny thing going on idk but once I heard it I can’t unhear it

Its fkn dope. Their sound got wilder even when you thought this wouldnt be possible🤣 do i prefer it to ADSOB? Nah i dont think so
