Probably Aqua Regia - I was at the concert in Birmingham where they played these two new songs (Granite included) for the first time, it was incredible!! It was also their first live performance of The Summoning… they held nothing back!

Obviously vessels voice is insane, I still gotta call out the drummer again. He's is so phenomenal the fills are perfect and the spacing and timing are just wow.

Completely agree. More people exposed to the music means more people interested in it, which means more music. If it means bands that do metal fusions with other styles, then so much the better for it, because more music is more music.

I love Heavy Token as much as anyone, but there is just something so special about poppy/dark/ambient Token that I can't get enough of. Granite is probably my favorite of the three so far.

I kinda agree but their drummer is unbelievable that it feels criminal to not use him every single moment you can. I put them kinda in the same vein as BMTH though in the way that they play rock and metal but don't piss off either crowd

Its weird that this band has brought so many people, even some metal elitests together that love this sound and vibe with this band, when something from any other band would be absolutely destroyed for how "pop" influenced or sounding they are or how "soft" it sounds. I don't know how this happened but it's amazing to me.
This birb gets it! Gateways, man - thank you for saying it. The scene desperately needs them. While totally awesome, not everything has to be animal snarls and gravity blasts. If metal is going to survive and thrive long-term, we need to welcome new fans and new fans need approachable songs they can latch onto to ferry them into those darker, heavier subgenres. Who better than Sleep Token to draw them in? Bodacious take on your part, Birb.

Nobody does these types of songs better than Dayseeker, Bad Omens and Sleep Token.

Recently saw them here in Spokane, and i think the most amazing thing about sleep token is how POWERFUL they are Live. I only managed to get one picture because I was so transfixed by their performance live. They are worth every bit ! I hope to see them again soon!
The mixing and production are also top notch. Every song has so much going on in the background that builds it's atmosphere and uniqueness really. Outstanding.

This song is one of the rawest songs I have ever heard about being taken for granted in toxic relationships, and the vicious cycle we all get caught in at some point in our lives. Everything Sleep Token creates is true sonic pieces of art, from the title, lyrics, vocals, electronic elements, timing, tempo, instrumental, mix, master, production, and over all components of each song. Even the title of this song, "Granite" is a play on words via the entire context of the song. When we are taken for granted, it turns our hearts into granite. Incredible song. Blew me out of the water first time I heard it and listened to it like 30 times on repeat. Masterpiece.
I have to say I return to this reaction every once in a while cause it is just such a feel-good reaction that puts me in a great mood. I cannot wait to see them in 2024; keep up these great reactions.

Granite is such a dope song. I'm personally a big fan of the dark pop vibes with heavy elements that "Dark Signs" has,
and this track very much feels like a kindred spirit to that song.

I would imagine they are releasing the album by february or march with this rate of releases. What is important though, is that this has high chances of being the album of the year and we will get it super early. So, i'll probably be getting disappointed the rest of the year for not getting something that tops this. 😂

This is also my least favorite among the three, but it's definitely going into my playlist! Chokehold is still my on repeat more than The Summoning up to this day. BODACIOUS
Bodacious review! This song is already above Chokehold for me. Dark Signs has been a favorite of mine for a long time and this has the same vibes. I agree though, it'll only get better in the album's context!

I think if that Song plays right after the Summoning on the Tracklist thats a big issue. Cause that will be a lot of Sexy to handle in a row 😆 But yeah.. very very cool track. I Love when they play around with genres a bit. As long as there is a little bit of Heavy and Drums with it im totally into it. On the last Album there was a bit too much for me. I loved Tracks like Alkaline, Atlantic, Hypnosis and High Water. But if they keep the Tracks going like they did so far for this album i will totally love every single second of it
