This is a rehearsal/gigging amp, and sounds fantastic with all types of guitars. You do need to turn up the master volume a bit to hear the amp though. I've gigged the first model extensively, and nothing touches it for portability. Just don't expect the sound of a 12' speaker.. ;)
i've tested one ( the reverb ) at my luthiers lab and i was shocked.. these amps sound huge and loud. we also attached the amp to a 2x12 and it was unbelievable. but it's too expensive for what it is, you can buy a good used valve amp for the money..
It is compact, loud, simple and designed to stay clean for players who want to have a platform for pedals without the hassle of tubes. I had the original version and have decided to get this one. I have a Quilter 101 Reverb in the 1x10 Blockdock as well. Both are great and easy on the back, inwhich is a consideration for me as well.
Great demo. Very informative. Really awful sounding amp. Yikes I hope I never get into a situation where I’m plugging into one of these. Better to just quit the guitar entirely. Or maybe just strum REALLY LOUD.
This is a huge misread of the market, imo. It's small, sure. People like small. However, most players are looking for super-low watt amps, either with onboard effects and wireless, or hifi valve, "boutique" handwired vibe. Pedal guys still want a decent amp. 100W class D ain't gonna do unless you use an Ethos or some other pedal preamp.
I'm kinda bummed they switched to class D for the new version, as I like the modifications they did otherwise. I keep trying class D guitar amps hoping I find one I can connect with, but like all the others I just couldn't connect with the new Lunchbox, and there aren't many options on the market for very light and versatile class A/B combos. There is something about note transients that class D can't quite reproduce yet, in my experience, and even at their cleanest they feel too compressed (at least for my needs).

Do you think it would be sufficient in a rehearsal setting with a drum kit player?
@@jay_white_music Yeah i do that often with it
That sounds awesome! What a great practice amp. Would be awesome for a living room jam session!
It's a gigging amp too.

@BXL Gotham Yep, completely missing the point with the original comment! Ha.

Would it be good for acoustic?
What tremelo pedal was that?
Can I play with a very loud drummer with this?
I reckon this could get seriously loud to more efficient 12" extension speakers.
100 watts!!!,..I'm looking for something in the 3-5 watt range myself..
The wattage means different things when the amp is solid state.
Having said that, 100 watts still seems like a lot for something this small.
Why won’t he put his guitar through that Leslie cab behind him? 😱😭😭😭
Because he is demonstrating the ZT amp.
@@endezeichengrimm I bet he used the Leslie as soon as filming finished.

Keep on playing heavy then.
Sounds LIKE your typical, small cardboard box amp!
Writes LIKE your typical, rock-obsessed BOOMER! I HATE MY WIFE BROTHAR.
@BXL Gotham Ok, poor recording does NOT help!

Huge misread of the jazz market.
