My sister passed away in 2013 from suicide and i found this in her favorites playlist. I listen to feel her. This song is so beautiful and powerful. Thank you.

About 10 years, I hit that dumb "Stumble Upon" button and found this video. Then I shared it with my closest friends and we went to see her live several times. I think about this song a lot; this video in particular.

Just in case anyone is wondering about who the girl is in the background her name is Thao Nguyen. She's another musical talent that you may like if you like Emily wells. Check her out. There's a whole studio session with these 2. Good stuff.
I first discovered Thao through this video. Later, I discovered Offspring, an Australian TV show that used her song as its theme song. I made it through seven seasons of Offspring without tiring of the song, which is saying a lot for me.

I was a little late discovering her but it came to me after hearing the Kid Koala remix of her song "The Passenger", a transcendental musical journey if there ever was one. "Show me the magic I says", and with this video she just did.
This is... sublime. There is no other word for it. This has blown my view of music completely away. It's truly unique, and passionate, and incredible.

I don't know whether Emily Wells has refused major contracts and the whole TV circuit appearance thing, but if she hasn't been offered them--well, that's an obscenity. This is the most original work to come along in decades--sorry, Gaga, even though I do believe you're talented--and for Wells not to be dazzling audiences everywhere is a travesty. What she does is utterly original, beautiful, masterful, and inspiring. But the big catch is, you have to see her do it live. That's when it becomes downright astonishing. If this isn't raw insight capable of changing the way music is viewed, I don't know what is.

It never gets old ...discovering a musical gem like Emily. She's the earth-mama goddess of counterpoint and quarter beats. She's the 21st Century cultural offspring of Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, Laurie Anderson et al., but so much more musical, more accessible , dare I say more talented? Her unaffected charm is transcendent. I worshipped Laurie Anderson but couldn't imagine hugging her. Emily Wells, however, is divinely huggable.
This song reminds me of the YPJ girls fighting Daesh. We're the girls, girls, girls with the golden sun. The Sun is the Kurdish flag symbol. This song rocks, especially coming from the great statioin KRCL in my state SLC, Utah. Thanks Emily. ( Utah loves you )

too much talent inside one single body to be believed as truth. technology does allow us to destroy the earth, yet if used correctly, technology has allowed arts to step 15 steps ups. hands down to emily who's currently making the best out of technology and arts.
