Wouldn't it be a good idea to do this tutorial again, as MobiFlight saw various iterations of progress meanwhile? I mean, there are so many new features available so it might be very different now. Would it work for example with SimConnect/WASM only without FSUIPC? And, more to that, what about Mach? What do you think?
Great tutorial. I'm just waiting on all my parts to arrive to start building a FCU for my MSFS. I've been trying to figure out how to display the LED indicator when in Managed Mode and realised there are decimal points in the 7 segment displays, so i'm just going to use the decimal point.

When I'm in selected mode and I set a speed of say 200 knots, then shift to managed mode, works great, but when I switch back to selected mode the speed resets to 100 knots. Is it possible to get it back to wherever the speed was set to before going to manage mode? Store that speed in a variable and read from it when returning to selected perhaps? I know NOTHING about coding, so this is all Greek and Chinese jumbled up to me, but.. I was hoping there was a fix.. :) In any case, thank you so much, my little expansion box is already better from this! :)
Hi, the process for HDG, ALT and VS is exactly like for SPD. You just have to change the event ids and parameters for either HDG, ALT and VS and create a new offset (for example 5301, 5302, etc.). All other steps are the same.
Just came across this tutorial very nice indeed! Can I ask, in the VALUE tab you put “if($=0,1,0)” may I ask which coding is that and where I can find more info in it?
Awesome stuff, I finally got my encoder panel working for the Mooney Ovation. I am new to all this so maybe I can add some observations. I noticed that the FSUIPC would show green at the bottom Mobiflight although FSUIPC was not connected to the sim so I thought my encoders were bad when they didn't work. Connecting FSUIPC within FSUIPC solved that right away. Mention in FAQ possibly. Loose connections were also an issue and making them more secure solved some issues I had also. If logging is on, encoders will lag badly and maybe mention that in the FAQ as I spent hours not realizing that. But I caught that in your forum answer to another user. If I over click or click too much around in Mobiflight settings etc., Mobiflight will start to hang and it takes 4 mins to edit a button and the programs becomes unresponsive until a computer reboot. This could also be due to the MEGA being a clone and not genuine. But this was the hardest problem because I had to reboot and restart the simulator about 30 times. Also, when in the InputConfigurationWizard, it will not let you exit or cancel out if you choose Set Value and decide you don't want to enter a value at the time and just want to exit out to do a calculation or look up the event chart. Occasionally, a few devices the last ones added would disappear on the next boot up even though they were loaded up onto the Mega Board. That seemed to have been fixed at this point. I assumed you didn't need to use the save function to save added devices. Not too sure why a couple of devices disappeared after loading and working. (Could be MEGA Clone Issue). All is working well now using MSFSEVENTS but I can't get the FSUPIC events to work at this time and will keep trying. I want some fast rotary assignment like like $+1820 for the heading bug as I find my self doing some 90 degree turns. I love sitting back with a glass of wine and flying the bug. I would like to get a CDI/LOC button event to go between GPS-Localizer and can't find it yet. I am running multi monitors so I need to click on the main monitor to change between CDI and Localizer with a keyboard short cut. Not important but convenient, I would like a Mooney Glareshield rotary event but I understand prof simmers have their own lighting built in physically. Overall, after all is working, 5 out of 5 stars for your program. Well done.

7 segments display, wire Dupont soldered and and operation is unreliable. one test = ok , two more test = 7 segments switch off. If you have a solution ?
Hello I have another question I have set up my 7 segment displays for ALT and VS but there are not in real time so when I rotate the value in the simulator there are just getting applied when I push the button to confirm the value. Do u have a fix for that?

I mean that when I change the numbers from Altitude for example, from 2000 to 5000 I can not see the steps between 2000 and 5000 (in this case 3000 4000) and I can only see the number 5000 in the display when I have selected it and confirmed it in the sim

for msfs2020 you don't need it anymore - for all other flight sims you still need the free unregistered version of FSUIPC

What do you mean with "push button to confirm the value" - is this in the A320? What offset are you using to get the values?
