I stayed there once, i slept in a camping tent for just 6$ per night. it was so much fun, i went kayaking a long the river. the coconut was sweet. i miss it so much

Amazing Kampot and amazing video. I didn't know that Kampot is this beautiful. This's my birth place, unfortunately, the war happened and my family was sponsored to settle in the United States. I dream to go back to Kampot and retire there.

Video footage, editing and styling incredible and may even be best in class. Only needs better background music (I know its hard). I believe all travel vlogs should spend more time on food. Exotic food drives a lot of channels. It completes the viewing(exploration), otherwise it looks like a home video of your time abroad. Keep up the great work! Traction is coming soon with this quality of work!

I've just been using music tracks found on my music licensing platform that I've enjoyed really. But I could spend a lot more time working on the sound design and theme of each video. Great video :) Do you mind me asking what camera you use?
Of course, we have a Panasonic GH5 with the Leica 12-60mm lens. The other shots you would have seen in this one would be from the Gopro HERO8 black, the insta360 One, a DJI Mavic Mini and a Nikon D5300 with a 10-20mm Nikon lens. I know it seems like a lot but clearly videography is my favourite hobby and I hope that comes across in these videos!

11:12 that is lok yey mao she is the protector of the forest and the peoples in the province. But one thing she doesn't like men so when you go there make sure don't behave bad or you will get bad luck. Many cambodian that drive by the road alway came up there to worship her. Many of them that didn't do that while drive by most of them face road accident like flat tire or engine not working But som rare cases is flip car.

Note : Lady Mao is not a Goddess she's a Khmer General. Well she takes over an army after her husband passed away. Most people praying to her believe that she's a powerful woman with supernatural power (magic were believe for being used randomly in the past. There are mage school and stuff). But most of them don't really know her past for being fear and respect as strong female warrior.

@@cjexplores well there's a bunch of theory about her but the the most reliable information should be this one.
It is said that she was a beautiful lady married to a powerful warrior. When he died, she took control of the armies against the Thai and became a celebrity. The story is placed sometime before the French Colony (1863-1953).
This is from Wikipedia and it was also written in some literatures although there's no ancient one since we have been through lots of wars and mostly books are being burning down every time.
Still her statues are everywhere and people truly believe in her so I guess she's real, maybe those theories come up to won people beliefs just like how ancient kings saying they're god king.
Note: cambodia history is full of spooky stuff you can't easily find a simple one so far even inscriptions are full of spooky.
@@cjexplores Base on her clothes and the war with Thailand that should be true that she was a woman after Longvek era (1528-1594 located between Phnom Penh and tunle sap) and the place that her statues located fit the information of being in the down parts of cambodia ( it fits how Thailand push the khmer soldier down from the North West. I guess not a single soul would write about her officially because the whole country was in a big chao (even though there's not a single century cambodia living in peace) yeah and then war and war.

It’s such a shame that books get burned during wars but with good people passing the stories on they remain in our hearts and minds ❤️
@@cjexplores I was always interesting in histories and ancient stuff I guess I'll start one in the future I'm not sure since I'm a lazy ass but I'll try my best to share it to the world I wish teens in my country will be interesting more about our culture and history. but my goal is to travel the world and experience as much things as possible in this life. Well I'll make my dreams come true when I'm grown enough. 😉
