i think the comments below are nonsense! this piece is SO difficult to be played well, and mr kissin has done it again...just perfect...this also is one exemple of a rendition which is better than the piece itself...
Vladimir Horowitz once said in his interview: "Is it a crime to play wrong notes?" Even the great Horowitz did noticeable mistakes on his concerts or recordings, so, why one must exaggerated that small part, rather than focusing the music as a whole beauty?
Diagrreeed I listened to Rachel Cheung’s version it was full of mistakes and her interpretation was completely different than what Liszt wrote it was really bad envgeny kissin played so well
nanometer His interpretation isn’t really his own, he followed Liszt’s version to the tee, with no scope of error. I actually sat down with the sheet music and heard Kissin play. It was exactly as Liszt composed it. I can say this confidently as I have learned this piece as well.
I'm learning this piece right now, and I've made it to the end and just need to smooth things out and get things up to speed, and I've listened to Kissin play it multiple times now, and he's made no mistakes
I was there! First row, My first trip to New York and Carnegie Hall. What a great night to remember. Thanks for posting this!
Oh that so cool!
I live in NY and been to Carnegie hall once when at 4
That poor woman behind the man in the white shirt is trying for dear life to get a peek at the piano. She even bobs her head along to the music :(

I feel it’s a bit too fast but I love the clearness to the piece Kissin added

Is there a wrong note at 0:09? I feel like there's something wonky
Yes, I believe he played G# and D # instead of G# and E.
Unacceptable

@@PaganiniDaDemon sorry, thought Chasse was something else, my bad
I just listened to Rachel Cheung's version (at 13 y.o) and switched to this to compare . . . . so laborious! I'm switching back straight away.
Alice Sara Ott's version is even better.
Mark harrison
I am a real great fan of Kissin, but - you are right.
Not his best performance.
Diagrreeed I listened to Rachel Cheung’s version it was full of mistakes and her interpretation was completely different than what Liszt wrote it was really bad envgeny kissin played so well
This is not Kissin...
Minseo Chae This is Kissin.
What I meant is he didn't play like his usual self....
I really like Kissin but that was quite bad..
I would rather hear hamilin’s great interpretation than him(he played a wrong note)
kinda ungainly, for kissin anyway
Asians be like good, now play it backwards
Kissin is a great pianist but this interpretation is really bad and full of mistakes
lol
would you be so kind telling us which mistakes you are talking about?

Everyone makes mistakes.
I think this recording is pure trash and does not represent Kissin's interpertation by one percent.

Hear the incomparable Daniil Trifonov!
It's way too fast. Playing like this, it''s no longer music but a circus.
*in your opinion
He's playing approximately 110 bpm which is the equivalent to allegretto. Exactly what Liszt wrote on the score.
@@mantisninja4945 he means to look at la chasse’s music sheet for the temp and he is right, the bpm is 110 and kissin is playing right
You’re such a clown. Look at the speed mark before you BS in the comment section
Too fast. Not enjoyable at all.
Bottom comment. Guess why.
