@@virgob7322 I think Evan Peters does a great job in cult, I don't think cult was unbareable bc it was bad or bc I didn't like the plot line, it was bad because the show delved into politics without taking an actual stance besides some centrist "see anyone can be an extremist" shit and "orange man bad". Its literally just rehashing all the discourse we've been seeing for the past 4 years. I didn't watch it until recently so maybe after the 2020 election it was just soooo tired but I still felt like the show was trying to have a political theme bc it was a hot topic at the time but they didn't want to make any their point clear bc they didn't' want to alienate their audience members on the opposing side
Me and my English teacher debated for a good 20 minutes about our rankings, and we both disagree with this ranking Because apocalypse was not last on either of their lists.
Stacie Reynolds the way he played his character was so beautiful. definitely in my top 3 too. I don’t understand the dislike people have for it. and I really enjoyed the plot twist ending
It was dreadful. It badly handles what it’s trying to say and that was its main point. It was a waste of the “Cult” theme and Evens performance is hammy and 2 note at best
Stacie Reynolds cult for me was the scariest season so far, mostly bcs it relied on the reality of the current social climate. No use of anything paranormal, just pure madness from ideological extremism, which all of us has the probability of being capable of. man i thought roanoke was scary,
Finally some praise for Freakshow!! idk how people say it’s one of the worst seasons it literally is cinematography and history gold and all the freaks where so touching their stories made sob especially peppers no other seasons characters touched me like this one
Friend of Dorothy Zbornak I agree and disagree with you( my opinion plz don’t come after me) I agree cause episode 4 ,5, and 7 do drag on especially after the clown died ( which he shouldn’t have and would’ve been better if he stayed alive) but disagree cause it does change up the pace and have a new flair for the story
I have actually heard the opposite. So many people have said they love it, but I did not like it much. As well as Roanoke. They both lacked a lot of substance.
I think its mainly because I came after 3 very strong seasons. It was a big departure from what AHS had been. The first 3 seasons had a main villain or bsd guy that ran throughout. Season 1 had Tate/Rubberman/Devil. Season 2 had Bloodyface and season 3 had all of the covens rivals. So when we get to season 4 it set it up like Twisty was our villain. So when they killed him halfway through it threw the whole thing off. And they made all these changes to the bad guy being Elsa, then Stanley, then Dandy. The plot was jusr all over the place. And so many things felt unnecessary. It was very clear the season was written for Lange and not much thought was put into the Lore of Freak Show. I think that's why it got that bad rep. On the other hand it was very beautiful cinematography wise and had some amazing feats of acting (i.e Sarah Paulson as Bette and Dot) and giving roles to many who wouldn't get roles that humanized them so much. Yes all the people with abnormalities were playing characters in a freak show, they were very humanized in the show. It provided some super cool representation. But thats all the season really had going for itself.
Same, I didnt start watching the show until season 5 came out, and some seasons work better without week breaks, for example, Roanoke with its flaws, is much better when watched quickly
Same. Roanoke is the one that gets me the angriest though. IT WAS LITERALLY THE ONLY ACTUALLY SCARY SEASON. All of the other seasons are still horror, but they rely on shock value instead of suspenseful supernatural horror, which Roanoke was a master of
to this day roanoke is the only season i found [actually] scary. every death was terrifyingly brutal and *knowing* that every character but 1 was going to die gave the entire 2nd half such amazing suspense. roanoke wins my second place, but asylum is always no.1
Totally the scariest season. I wanted to rewatch because I remembered loving it and had to take breaks and have lights on because it was night time when I was watching it and I was getting spooked. The character interaction in the other seasons and the way the supernatural works makes the other seasonal not very scary at all. This one though, dealing with malicious ghosts with no humanity who brutally butcher people and the atmosphere with the found footage style. Definitely scary.
I actually liked how at first it was like a documentary and is different from the other seasons, wouldn’t say is my top one but I think deserves more credit
Seriously coven had to be the best, storyline was easy to follow no freaking clowns and guest Stevie Nicks was a treat the fact Misty Day met her idol was fabulous!
“1984 was too cheesy and too clichè” Yeah, that was the point. It was all based on 80’s slasher films. Sure, the whole cursed land arc was a bit weird, but it’s still one of the best seasons. In my opinion. And I haven’t even mentioned the intro.
Part of me wishes apocalypse was pure bunker, about the characters within it and drama etc, the connections were good but I wish flash backs were all in one episode, and the witches were a hinted saving force for the bunkers survivors, who when they arrive have an actual grand showdown
@@makayla2787 I think that was more to show how powerful he was compared to the witches as he wasn't just a warlock but infact a demon who was the son of satan.
Exactly they should never have had the witches they should’ve stuck to the stories happening in the bunker with the OG characters in the first few episode
In my opinion, Murder House was the absolut worse season. I didn‘t like it at all, I think It‘s very cheesy . I feel like it‘s written for 14-16 year olds or so and also from all charakters Evan played Tate was the worse... I‘m very sorry, I know many of u liked it a lot :(
honestly one of the things that made coven for me was the character of misty day. Lily Rabe just makes her so relatable that you can't help but feel you're a part of the season. I love her so much
Not knowing about the aliens MAKES THE SHOW BETTER. I guarantee whatever answer Ryan could write would not satisfy y'all They took a note from twin peaks, mystery is better than answers. Symbolically "the unknown" is an extremely prevalent theme so the aliens definitely fit thematically.
I actually really liked cult too - it was the one season that genuinely scared me because all the horror was so real and plausible with very little supernatural. Though of course I do love all the seasons as a whole too. 😍
Honestly AHS is a show were rankings are really extremely personal, like there's a general understanding in 99% of fandoms but this one is just: "i ranked this by my personal taste" and everyone agrees that there's no real right or wrong here??
Haha! Yeah! I’ve been in fandom for a few years and I have never seen anyone be disrespectful about anyone else’s ranks. It makes me really love this fandom.
everybody hating on cult is crazy. the fear was so real for me in that season. i just found it to be one of my all time favourites (besides murder house of course)
Roanoke is my absolute favorite. I binged it in 2 days and especially the 2nd half felt so real and I was genuinely scared. With the other seasons I mostly fall in love with the characters but with Roanoke I was simply impressed by the acting and the story and how scary it was. I loved it!
@@darwindark2561 literally everyone says this. but no one can change my mind. asylum was frankly a drag when i binged it immediately after murder house. i can see why people like it, it has some good elements of horror. to each their own i guess, but asylum was just very lacking and i was disappointed because i had really high hopes (as it is everyone’s favorite). my favorite part of the whole show was kit’s boston accent (also: the fact that they didn’t cast native bostonians or even new englanders in small roles such as police officers in order to master the accent is embarrassing. anyone from the area can tell you that it doesn’t sound realistic and no one here actually talks like that).
@@darwindark2561 lmao no please calm down. i never said that.. it's not a bad season at all, just different. like i said, i understand why people enjoy it. i'm just personally not one of them. it's also definitely not my least favorite. and hey, don't get offended when i say it wasn't scary (like other asylum stans) because american horror story isn't actually the most scary show out there. and on your comment about critiquing, that's exactly what i am doing. critiquing it. (and yeah dialect is extremely important to most characters in creating a sense of realism). but also at the end of the day it's just a show and not everyone is going to agree with you. goodnight and have fun tripping ;)
@@tamara.rirurero 1984 was gold. Where does the stupidity come from? I mean yeah it’s cliche as hell but that’s the point. The whole inspiration was the golden age of horror, 80s slasher films.
I treated the songs in Freakshow almost like as part of a musical where people just break into song. If you don't expect it it's super weird but if you go in with that mindset it definitely helps
The first 3 episodes of apocalypse are so good I kinda would love to see a version of that season on its own without Michael langdon and the witches and stuff
I mean I LOVED Michael, Cody fern was genius, but I kinda liked it on its own. And the ending sucked and left me with so many questions? Like there are two mallories now? Which one will be the next supreme? I just no thanks.
My thoughts exactly The first 3 episodes were great But then it became a lame sequel of Coven, which I don't like at all The 'witches-voodoo-abracadabra' is boring, like Harry Potter for grown-ups
I want more coven , not gonna lie; but I want more expansive world building/high stakes / More magic / just more. Like they can do so much with witches in a horror show. I just want More!
The audio quality here is amazing!! Its just the same as if u were together. Extra impressive considering some actual TV talk shows don’t do this good a job in front of a webcam
The aliens was needed in AHS Asylum was important to me because it was something of horror in those times. In that time period alien abduction tales were on the rise as well as serial killers and religious supernatural iconography. (Catholic Church etc)
I recommend you to watch all of them, yes Coven is good but you can’t say it’s the best without watching the rest of them! Watch Hotel, Roanoke or Cult next, they’re underrated imo
Richard Ramirez was able to appear at the Cortez because it was Halloween and the show has already established in season 1 that on Halloween spirits, even if they are trapped somewhere, are able to move around freely until the sun comes up.
I don’t understand why Roanoke is so underrated by everyone? It was one of my favorites. AHS returned to that same Asylum (which is universally acclaimed as the best) grittiness and gore, and I love the connection with Lana. The shock factor was real, they played with that third wall element, and you never knew who was gonna die next.
I think the issue with ahs as a whole is it always starts out so strong in each season but they end up adding too many stories and subplots and it just gets way too convoluted. I always wish that they focus on one story more. A big example of this is asylum. I loved the season but there was too much between the devil possession, bloody face, the nazi doctor, aliens, etc
i 100% feel that way about asylum. i watched it with my dad who used to work in the movie industry (not to say that makes his opinion better than anyone else’s, but he does know a thing or two about cinematography) he really enjoyed murder house (he even knew a few actors who were featured in it!) and we were both excited for asylum and enjoyed the first few episodes. but then it started getting more bizarre (for lack of a better word) and by the end, i just didn’t love it. not to mention that there are maybe three episodes at the end that weren’t necessarily needed to be made
I don’t feel like that would’ve made any sense given the subject matter of the season. Would’ve just convoluted things in a season that’s pretty straightforward to it’s own benefit.
@@slimylittleshit -- I don't disagree with you...but, the fact that they expressly chose "Nineteen-Eighty-Four" as the season title was a big disappointment if they weren't going to take the Orwell route. They could've just gone with "The 80's" or "Slasher" or something camp-ish..I mean, EVERY season includes MULTIPLE years. They didn't need to get THAT specific if it wasn't going to be Orwellian.
@@user-oz5jj6cy1r -- George Orwell wrote a book titled "Nineteen-Eighty-Four" about a dystopian future in which we are all watched at all times, and history has been manipulated and re-written by those in control. I like your idea, but since it's a spin off, I think it will be treated as a minor plot inside one of the seasons, for example, te settling of the witches in Miss Robichaux Academy, or maybe the life of one of the previous owners of the Murder House.
The populist opinion is that Asylum is the best, I know. But nah....there are WAAAYYY too many plot lines in Asylum. Every episode could have been a separate season. It just felt like chop, chop, chop, chop, chop, chop, screw this I wanna watch something else. Aliens?!?!?!??!? C'mon...... At least 1984 (with the exception of the Richard Ramirez thing, which went nowhere) had cohesive storytelling.
My personal ranking is: 1. Murder House (I just love the entire plot and all of the characters) 2. Asylum (One of the scariest seasons, ❤️ the storyline) 3. Apocalypse ( Crossovers people!) 4. Freakshow (I loved seeing the “freaks” and ofc the Pepper backstory) 5.Hotel (I got rlly confused when it ended up being like over 5 years but I loved the vampires) 6. Coven (Wasn’t all that scary, but loved the magic and characters) 7.Roanoke (Not a fan of how it was like s how within a show for most of the season) 8. Cult (it’s a good season, I just hate clowns & was hella confusing to me) I didn’t put 1984 because I know that it’s been out for a while but I have still yet to watch it just yet. 😁
My personal top 9 1. Coven - I love character development so that's what made Coven the best for me. 2. Roanoke - This was the scariest one. The colony marching towards the characters was unsettling, the deaths were brutal and the cannibals were just disturbing and seeing the real butcher really creeped me out. 3. Hotel - I dunno why I just loved the season 4. Asylum - Was scary and I enjoyed the episodes. Bloody face was disturbing af and the asylum gave a claustrophobic atmosphere. 5. Cult - Although the season wasn't the best, I think Kai Anderson is one of the best antagonists and that is why I ranked it this place. 6. Muder house - It was a decent season but boring at times 7. Apocalypse - It's good that they made a sequel to murder house and coven but it wasn't as good as the two seasons. 8. Freak show - Meh 9. 1984 - I haven't seen this season cos I have only seen the ones on Netflix so that is why it's at the bottom.
Don’t get me wrong, I loved the scene where the aliens spoke through Pepper (or gave her her true voice back,) but the aliens as a whole just felt like a puzzle piece that didn’t quite fit. If it weren’t for them, Asylum would’ve instantly been my favorite season.
Freak show is so under rated! One of my top 3. Jessica Lange is amazing. All the characters story lines made me want to keep watching. I think I cried 3 times. But I must say “freaks” is one of my favorite movies ever, so the nod to it made me so happy. Maybe I’m biased 🤷🏻♀️
Roanoke is absolutely fantastic In my opinion the second best season after Cult So the answer to your question is: NO, you are - by far - not the only one
1. Asylum 2. Murder House 3. Roanoke 4. Coven 5. 1984 6. Cult 7. Apocalypse 8. Freak Show 9. Hotel Character and concept rankings would switch this up more, but full build up and execution and conclusion, above is my list. Especially ending. Some seasons most don't like, least felt cohesive and to end in line with the story told. Hotel felt like it was split with Vampire and serial killer. Would have preferred just killer and maybe the vampires being your fake vamps that just murder people and the hotel being infused with evil and ghosts leaching off guests. I love Roanoke. I think how real filming can seem cursed and sometimes telling scary stories reveals real horrors was interesting. I didn't find it hard to follow. Consider it telling the curse of The Exorcist, Poltergeist, Twilight Zone, etc. but your TV reenactment, ghost hunter cast impacted and in turn, their real dark secrets and horrors.
I would love AHS return to the slasher genre since AHS 1984 was one of my personal favorites and honestly I would find it kind of cool if they crossed AHS over with Scream Queens to form some sort of connection but I highly doubt that’ll ever happen
1: Asylum. Fantastically written. The Lana Winters story is, imo, the most elegantly crafted story of all AHS. Not to mention the stellar performance Jessica Lange gave. It was by far the hardest for me to get into as it was the last season I watched, but I'm really glad I got through the slow start because it is 👌 2: 1984. I lost count of how many 80s film moments there were, like the little things from the slow run Emma Roberts did in the first episode, to the aerobics classes and the grainy opening credits, to the end scene which was a typical 80s movie ending. Loved all of it. 3: Cult. Incorporating fears into a horror show as well as how divisive the world has become (in part thanks to politics), it does feel very much like a cult. If you don't comply, you are condemned. The concept is very original for AHS and I fully commend Ryan Murphy for acting on it. 4: Freak Show. This was where I was hooked into this crazy world. Basing characters off of real people, real "freaks" is so genius and indepth. Dandy Mott's portrayal was deeply disturbing and also fantastic. I love how this season was a send off to Jessica Lange as well. She truly is like the mother of AHS. 5: Murderhouse. The idea that a house can have so much evil inside its walls because of its history, and then it manipulates everyone inside the house is epic. I love the episode where we get Tate's backstory with the school shooting and also the episode where the Harmon family scare away the newcomers which causes the house to be abandoned - seemingly until we see it again in Apocalypse. Just epic. 6: Roanoke. I liked the concept of reenacting what happened in the house because of how original it was but it also very much confused me because at first I didn't understand how you could have people telling a story where others were acting the story. I thought Lee Harris was awesome in it though. And of course, the 'Return to Roanoke' part is so much fun to watch. 7: Hotel. I appreciated the relationship between James March and Hazel Evers. She was a standout character for me. And of course you can't go without mentioning Hypodermic Sally or Liz Taylor or The Countess. 8: Apocalypse. I would have enjoyed Apocalypse a whole lot more if it did not focus so much on the coven or Miss Robichaux's Academy. A backstory on Michael Langdon with some sort of cameo by the coven, but the focus of it being the apocalyptic fallout would have been way cooler. The ending where Mallory went back in time to kill Michael Langdon really irked me. So much unused potential... 9: Coven. Looking back on Coven, I find it very hard to enjoy - but that could be due to my upbringing on Charmed and how completely different the portrayal of witches is between the two shows. But to Kathy Bates' credit, I thought she did a fantastic job as Delphine LaLaurie. I couldn't applaud her role more.
That's the most agreeable ranking I've seen, except from coven for me, but I can understand why it's on the bottom... There's not that much horror, it was more of a teenage movie, and I really enjoyed and had fun , so I guess it's a pure matter of tastes
I really liked Roanoke (probably ranking it 4th), after watching all the seasons, I went to see some opinions online and was suprised to see many people bashing Roanoke (not it being the least favorite - cause one has to be) but completely saying that it was bad. Roanoke apart from Murder House was the only season that gave me a sense of horror and that kept me nervous for jumpscares.
great video, as always!! to the Ricky Ramirez plothole… aren't the ghosts able to walk freely on Halloween night? In Murder House Tate was able to take Violet out on Halloween. In Freak Show Edward Mordrake only appears on Halloween night. And in Hotel - please correct me, if I'm wrong, because I've seen this season only once - the Dinner with Ramirez takes also place on Halloween. Maybe 1984-Ramirez was able to escape on Halloween and make his way to Hotel Cortez? After the night is over, the ghosts are automatically drawn back to their "home".
That’s a good theory, but Ramirez was definitely out of hotel Cortez for longer than a day.. it showed how he and mister Jingles went on a killing spree and Ramirez even went to jail for some time, before he got entrapped in camp Redwood.
A person talked about all the killers that meet on Devil Night! That all 364 days of year, they BURNING IN HELL. For One Night they can play at the hotel.

Even after watching this video it is still a fact the 2 best seasons are Asylum and Roanoke, they are the only seasons to maintain a modicum of consistency and well crafted intriguing story will also sticking to the name of the show and that is telling us an American Horror Story with the best characters in the entire series and just all around had you gripped from start to finish while other seasons always have stale episodes, sudden turns to completely new plots, Consitancy is key and seasons 2 & 6 understand that most.
I completely agree, I base it on the fear factor not the aesthetic. Roanoke legitimately had me at the end of my chair the whole time. And asylum is asylum hahaha
Y'all are geez for real, thank you for taking the time to do this I rank them in my head and out loud almost every time I start to watch them again. Thanks guys
Although I disagree with Roanoke and Apocalypse being so low, I like that someone finally had the guts to (a) put Hotel towards the top, and (b) admit that Asylum is not the best thing ever.

7:16 this season was in my opinion a love letter for the fans of coven and murder house . “Why would I wanna watch this when u can watch the OG seasons”ughh cause this seasons continues those storylines we all wanted to know what happened to the coven after Cornelia took over and what happens with Michael Langdon .
Hotel was my favorite season just because it was the season with the most aspects based on real life! Plus Gaga’s performance I found quite spectacular
Something that always bums me out about AHS is that the last episode of ever season seems to be such a let down. Either they have a bunch of story lines that get ignored (Coven) or went on too long and got boring (Cult) or they have a huge disconnect to the rest of the season (1984). Also Murder House and Asylum are so amazing. Jessica Lange you are a goddess.

It drags in the middle after Twisty is killed and doesn't pick up momentum until Pepper's episode. That's 4 or 5 episodes of hardly anything happening
Loved Freak Show. And Roanoke. Hated Cult and Hotel.
This ranking has more twists and turns than the whole show combined
,😂😂😂😂
The ONLY way I’ve ever watched AHS is binging, and I can’t imagine it any other way, or having to wait a week for each episode!

YES! I love Hotel and I don’t get why they don’t like it.
Same. Roanoke is the one that gets me the angriest though. IT WAS LITERALLY THE ONLY ACTUALLY SCARY SEASON. All of the other seasons are still horror, but they rely on shock value instead of suspenseful supernatural horror, which Roanoke was a master of
Period
I liked it but the addiction demon was way too much
to this day roanoke is the only season i found [actually] scary. every death was terrifyingly brutal and *knowing* that every character but 1 was going to die gave the entire 2nd half such amazing suspense. roanoke wins my second place, but asylum is always no.1
Legitimately terrifying I had to stop if multiple times...
I also loved the format with the faux documentary style they did! Roanoke was an amazing season
First time I watched Roanoke, I could only watch it during the day because it was so scary.
I absolutely loved coven all the characters were written amazingly

Seriously coven had to be the best, storyline was easy to follow no freaking clowns and guest Stevie Nicks was a treat the fact Misty Day met her idol was fabulous!
“1984 was too cheesy and too clichè”
Yeah, that was the point. It was all based on 80’s slasher films. Sure, the whole cursed land arc was a bit weird, but it’s still one of the best seasons. In my opinion. And I haven’t even mentioned the intro.
I loved this season so much , I loved the theme !

Part of me wishes apocalypse was pure bunker, about the characters within it and drama etc, the connections were good but I wish flash backs were all in one episode, and the witches were a hinted saving force for the bunkers survivors, who when they arrive have an actual grand showdown
Exactly
i didnt like the end fight bc Michael was so overpowered it wasn't even a fight it was basically a massacre
@@makayla2787 I think that was more to show how powerful he was compared to the witches as he wasn't just a warlock but infact a demon who was the son of satan.

Not knowing about the aliens MAKES THE SHOW BETTER.
I guarantee whatever answer Ryan could write would not satisfy y'all
They took a note from twin peaks, mystery is better than answers.
Symbolically "the unknown" is an extremely prevalent theme so the aliens definitely fit thematically.
Great point!
Someone finally said it! I don’t want a name and face put to the aliens. That’s what adds to the horror.
EXACTLY. Humanity almost know nothing about aliens and that's the point

Murder house is the best season and I live by that.
@Fauxindigo i think that it holds a lot of nostalgia and it’s the only one that i have watched over and over again :) lmk if you want more information
Asylum has the best payoff, character development, and overall story. It’s also got a crazy twist at the end, most depressing one tbh

Actually I believe he came to the Cortez on Devils Night, the 30th not the 31st
I don’t understand why Roanoke is so underrated by everyone? It was one of my favorites. AHS returned to that same Asylum (which is universally acclaimed as the best) grittiness and gore, and I love the connection with Lana. The shock factor was real, they played with that third wall element, and you never knew who was gonna die next.
I think the issue with ahs as a whole is it always starts out so strong in each season but they end up adding too many stories and subplots and it just gets way too convoluted. I always wish that they focus on one story more. A big example of this is asylum. I loved the season but there was too much between the devil possession, bloody face, the nazi doctor, aliens, etc
i 100% feel that way about asylum. i watched it with my dad who used to work in the movie industry (not to say that makes his opinion better than anyone else’s, but he does know a thing or two about cinematography) he really enjoyed murder house (he even knew a few actors who were featured in it!) and we were both excited for asylum and enjoyed the first few episodes. but then it started getting more bizarre (for lack of a better word) and by the end, i just didn’t love it. not to mention that there are maybe three episodes at the end that weren’t necessarily needed to be made
Yh i thought the nazi doctor was bloody face at first
yeah, this is the main reason why I don’t like asylum that much and it comes at my 7-8th favorite:/
1984 is pretty straight on yk not too many plot twists especially for the last episodes, what happens is pretty much what you would expect

What’s Orwellian?

Character and concept rankings would switch this up more, but full build up and execution and conclusion, above is my list.
I loved this break down, even through my order is completely different. I agreed with a lot of the things you guys pointed out!
I would love AHS return to the slasher genre since AHS 1984 was one of my personal favorites and honestly I would find it kind of cool if they crossed AHS over with Scream Queens to form some sort of connection but I highly doubt that’ll ever happen
0:07 Ya'll used my ranking! So cool lol
Thanks for the support!
Mine too. I was so surprised 😊😅
Pinky thanks for watching!
1: Asylum. Fantastically written. The Lana Winters story is, imo, the most elegantly crafted story of all AHS. Not to mention the stellar performance Jessica Lange gave. It was by far the hardest for me to get into as it was the last season I watched, but I'm really glad I got through the slow start because it is 👌
I agree with 1984 and cult. So underrated
Coven is my least favorite as well b/c the show is called American HORROR Story, and Coven has 0 scares or freaky moments
Coven is literally the best. lmao Jessica, Angela and Kathy all had amazing roles that season.
Natalia Stornello I agree so much. It was so hard to finish without any horror. I need the psychological thrill of Asylum
Roanoke apart from Murder House was the only season that gave me a sense of horror and that kept me nervous for jumpscares.
great video, as always!!
to the Ricky Ramirez plothole…
aren't the ghosts able to walk freely on Halloween night?

5. Coven
6. Cult
7. Roanoke
8. Apocalypse (Was boring for me)
9. 1984
Finally some taste
Coven should be higher up 👆
hotel is so good
1984 was good, whatchu smoking lol
Ugh dude! 1984 was one of the best seasons! It was like a long and enjoyable movie
I know you did this two years ago but I just love the breakdown you do . It always feels so neutral and that you really put thought into it - thank you both!
Props to Greg for putting Roanoke higher up on the list. It wasn't the best season but I really enjoyed it
Hotel (yay for covering this next!!!)
1984
Coven
Asylum
Apocalypse
Murder House
Freak Show
Cult
Roanoke
Loved this, I really did like 1984 and oh if they could redo the second half it would be magic maybe.
Mine is Murder House, 1984, Asylum for sure.
My unpopular top 9
1.Hotel
2.Asylum
3.1984
4.Murder House
5.Coven
6.Apocalypse
7.Cult
8.Freak Show
9.Roanoke
Putting Roanoke at the very bottom is a pretty popular thing to do, hehehe ;). I like Roanoke. Apart from that, I'd say that I agree with most of this list.
My personal top 9
1. Coven - I love character development so that's what made Coven the best for me.
2. Roanoke - This was the scariest one. The colony marching towards the characters was unsettling, the deaths were brutal and the cannibals were just disturbing and seeing the real butcher really creeped me out.
3. Hotel - I dunno why I just loved the season
6. Muder house - It was a decent season but boring at times
7. Apocalypse - It's good that they made a sequel to murder house and coven but it wasn't as good as the two seasons.
8. Freak show - Meh
9. 1984 - I haven't seen this season cos I have only seen the ones on Netflix so that is why it's at the bottom.
@@MrMillions69 1984 is on netflix, i just watched it :)
The best part about Michael Landen is his hair, god those luscious locks, I’d die for.
Apocalypse is one of my favorite seasons no cap
My rankings r
9. Cult
8. Coven
7. Apocalypse
6. Murder House
5. Asylum
4. Freak Show
3. Roanoke
2. 1984
1. Hotel
Yes!!! Roanoke and 1984 in the top 3!! Hotel is my number 5, but I still loved it!
Yessss
I only disagree with coven, it's like the best. You should rewatch it and maybe you'll like it more
Yes! My top 3! Finally, thought I was crazy! (Those are my top but they jump around in position)
Not gonna lie. The Hotel slander pisses me off
1.Coven
2. Hotel (underrated bc Gaga is in it & there are haters)
These are masterpieces . The end.
Has nothing to do with Lady Gaga.
Yas finally someone with sense who thinks coven is superior
@@ive3737 exactly I like gaga but I didn’t like hotel it’s probably the worst season
@@heykidsspellingisfun9908 That man just can't write proper story's. It's a disaster, every time.
@@ive3737 in your opinion
Thanks guys
McCulley Culkin is an amazing new addition and that has me so excited to see what he brings 😊 I was legit shocked 😳♥️
He’s so good!!! I was shocked too only because it’s been SO long since I’ve seen him in anything 😂 but damn is he good
the frottage queen

4.Asylum
5. Murder House
6. 1984
7. Cult

Although I disagree with Roanoke and Apocalypse being so low, I like that someone finally had the guts to (a) put Hotel towards the top, and (b) admit that Asylum is not the best thing ever.
I don't dislike any of the seasons, and after my top 4, the rest can move around!
1. Asylum
2. Coven
3. 1984
4. Freak show
5. Murder House

Yup!
Roanoke was the scariest season.
Y'all did Hotel so dirty. Murder House and Hotel are my favorites.
Hotel was my favorite season just because it was the season with the most aspects based on real life! Plus Gaga’s performance I found quite spectacular
Denis O'Hare deserves all the snaps for the portrayal of Liz Taylor. Unsurpassed. 😊❤
Roanoke is one of the most terrifying seasons for me. The other seasons before and after freaked me out but never scared me as much as Roanoke.
Imo Cult had a great ending , maybe the best ASH finale actually 🤔
The Cult ending was good but the season itself could've been 3 or 4 episodes shorter and lost nothing
1.Coven
2.Asylum
3.Murder House
4.Freak Show
5.Hotel
6.Apocalypse
7.Cult
8.Roanoke
I haven't watched 1984 so I can't rank it.
