Hi Sir. Thank you, this was very helpful. But I think when you did the Questions, in your answer to number one you broke the OH off the alcohol instead of off the carboxylic acid, am I right in saying when you eliminate water from the reaction, each of the two compounds left over should be left with one O?
I never thought I would ever understand this, you’re a great teacher!
Glad the approach used made you understand. All the best...
aren't we supposed to take O-H from carboxylic & one H from alcohol so tht they will be one O left in both alcohol & carboxyic acid???..
We should
correct
no ! acids react by giving away hydrogen ions only
That's the best method used👏👏🎉
How about base? Can i base be catalyst for esterification reaction? Ex: OH-
You're the best😭❤️❤️

Does it matter if we take OH from the acid instead???
yes it does and it affects you alcohol and carboxylic type....
Thank you sir you just don't know how much I've been helped ❤
Happy to hear that!
Thank you so now I finally understand this topic 🙏😍🤩
Glad to hear that
Thanks sir
