Q 01) What is the advantage of Sodium Carbonate solution? Q 02) : Does the whole liquid mixture in sodium carbonate mixture is called Ester or do we have to filter it or do some other activity also to separate the ester ?
@@blanchecloete4269 I dig your channel. A lot of information on the basics of chemistry. I am a life science student , and I kind of regret not having paid much attention on to the high school chemistry.
no, you cannot as esterification is a reversible reaction, heating it with high heat can cause the decomposition of the ester to form back your alcohol and your carboxylic acid.

What😂...dude this a school video
😂😂😂
@@liyemamthini2043 All the more reason. How can anyone survive a career based on teaching teenagers without a little alcohol incentive?
Bruh 💀
Watching from 2024 anyone?
We here!!!
Life was nice 6 years ago😢😢

Me too💔

Best science practical teacher ever. I wish they should come to India to improve education system of India.
Dear Sir and Madam, I just simply love you guys! You guys make chemistry more interesting and fun for me :) Thank you so much!
this is good quality material right here, thank u
watching this for research for my EE, you both seem lovely :)
yoo i am doing this for my IA how did u go?
like he said , this video is lovely 😀
Hi nur
You are amazing chemists!
Thank you very much. You both are making Chemistry interesting
Please, can I ask you about preparing ester oil?
Wow it's very useful for student love from India
Same
who else watching this in quarantine
Lovely
im watching because i have a practical on esters
I'm watching because my organic professor assigned us this video

Separate the ester using separatory funnel or distillation? Im not sure. I’m learning from scratch because chemistry is amazing
We have to seperate them. And sodium carbonate solution is ued for neutralizing h2so4 in beaker so that the smell of ester isn't suppressed
Joyce is literally just there to smell things

Thank you for your examination iam from India it's very helpful ❤
Love your way of presenting
Excellent content. Really helpful.
Esterification is beautiful
Wow ..Just helped me out very much !!Thank you so much for this video ❤

Hi
This is soooooo useful. Much appreciated
Sir we have never gone for experiment in any lab but we can perform experiment after seeing u
better than my chemistry lab teacher lmao
This really helped me, thank u
Re Feng di answer 😭
I got a test tomorrow thank you so much for the help
same same
Same, lol
so the aim was to determine what each Ester, depending on the alcohol used smells like?
Nice work
How does sodium carbonate enable separation of the products of the reaction between ethanol and the ethanoic acid?
Sodium carbonate is used to neutralise the sulfuric acid, not to separate the products.
@@blanchecloete4269 Thank you for the explanation. I feel stupid now posting this question, should have had use a bit of logic
sudeep dey Haha. All good. 😉

Hi why didn't they add any alcohol when doing the second reaction?
Quality content
Chemistry ASMR lmao
how much do you add sodiumcarbonate into mixture of ester solution.
Bet havenpark learners will see this in this in the future.... Goodluck!
Can we use direct heat instead of water bath.??
no, you cannot as esterification is a reversible reaction, heating it with high heat can cause the decomposition of the ester to form back your alcohol and your carboxylic acid.
If you are talking about a flame, then no. If something where to go wrong than it is big big flame
From past 2 years I'm watching this only because of your kind nature..
Why are they heated in a water bath and not directly over a flame?
Alcohol is highly flammable.
anyone know what im suppose to write about this
*has to watch this for chem lab cuz of online school
5:22 😮ain't alcohol flammable 👀👀
Is it safe to do the exact same way of experimenting but by having the test tube directly on the flame??
No. Alcohol is highly flammable
Hello, Sir and Madam. Can I use salicylic acid solution instead of salicylic acid crystals?
yes you can
@@alexistyra7382 Thank you!
joyceee is my spirit animal ahsahsahgdshsggsaagsgah
How can b it crystalized??
POV :your school doesn’t have a laboratory
That’s cool because I’m in my garage doing all kinds of reactions
what is the observation of this experiment ?
Love. From 🇧🇩
Why do we use sodium carbonate , what is the reaction we will get
The sodium carbonate is used to react with the unreacted sulfuric acid
This is very helpful sir
How to convert this liquid product into crystalline form
why is a water bath is used to heat the reaction mixture?
Alcohols are highly flammable so having it over direct heat would cause it to explode
@@idontevenknow7392 thank you for this 😊
Its great sir.
Nice it is my science chapter
Why heat the ester?
lovely
Gibson pillay learners are here🤣
What is the aim for this preparation
To prepare ester by using a wide range of alcohol and carboxylic acids and identifying their smell
why thank you miss mcmahon. that was "beautiful"
only the best :)
This helped me out alot!
Hi its saturated ester?
Yes esters are saturated
Answers nyana?
