I feel like GW are missing out on a major opportunity in not having Tau Auxiliaries be their own faction. Tau are a faction whose entire ideology revolves around the desire to unite many different species to their cause; an ideology directly opposed to that of the Imperium, and yet only two sub-factions are represented in the Tau codex; Kroot and Vespids and neither are generally considered viable enough to be seen very often, particularly in competitive lists. If Tau Auxiliaries had their own codex, these factions could be fleshed out and expanded upon. It could be treated like the Drukhari and Daemons codex's where they are composed of multiple sub-factions which can be fielded by themselves or together. There could be sub-factions for Kroot, Gue-vesa, Vespids, and Tarrelians and options for members of additional races to be fielded as Elites characters such as Nicassar psychers.
Question: Since all the Ork believe the Big Es a god and the ork waggh field makes things real that they belief are real are the Orks indirectly feeding the star child.
That one tau's sister is probly very confused why her brother is going into a ridiculous detail about the local species and not about him and his well being
your Tau videos are really awesome. This is the kind of video a Tau fan has been waiting for. Keep spreading the word of how great the Tau are. It's for the greater good!!
The worms with mind control abilities are the real rulers of the Tau Empire. Controlling the Ethereals and what not. But since the idea of The Greater Good is what makes the Tau so strong and unified, they propagate that idea and encourage it to continue for their own survival and security.
The thumb nail of this video. Showing a female Tau embracing a male human at 22:55 is more interesting to me than the video. (I already know most of Warhammer 40,000 Lore.) That image makes me wonder, "Are there any good Tau/Human love stories in Fan fiction.net?" I'mma research that later.
Yes it is possible but i would worry more about the "machine spirit" acting up than i would worry about size, a lot of them haven't been properly debugged in millenia.
I have always found the Tau concept of the Greater Good to be interesting but am left with questions. From my understanding, it was a game plan to unify the four factions under a single rule which the Ethereal embody. It achieves this by establishing specific roles in society, the caste system itself, in order to redirect a lot of wasted energy away from warfare. After they became space-faring, this Greater Good has since been expanded to include any intelligent life-form that wants to join the Tau. Yet... is that all it is? A statement on where one's role is within the Ethereal's idea of society? Another fictional race I admire, Ian M Banks - Culture, have a similar concept called Good Works but that is far more complex. It boils down to a pseudo-algorithm used by Artificial Super-Intelligence, called Minds, to determine if a course of action will lead to a more peaceful and prosperous universe. This allows for their society to exist in what can only be described as a Anarcho-communism state, while also maintaining the highest of morality as everyone is fixated on what Good Works they can do, in between their very hedonistic lifestyles. It also allows these Minds to carry out acts that would be abhorred to that moral core, as long as their calculations show that was the best cause of action to achieve the 'good works' they aspired to. Very complex and flexible, compared to what seems to be a simple "obey us for the greater good" that the Ethereal caste calls for....
I think also there is a degree of proximity based mind control or mind influencing let's say taht the Ethereal caste eminate. It's essentially the only way to force a society to work the way there's does. It establishes an idea of equality under the idea that everything is for the Greater Good and that idea, just like if a human came up with it, can be used to justify anything and everything. As you mentioned Communism has to be allowed to exist, forced to tbh. Personally I see the Tau being forced into a cease fire and treaty with the Imperium to deal with the increasing Tyranid threat for example. It wouldn't be the first time they have worked together to destroy a common enemy. Even the Orks and the Eldar have fought along side the Imperium against the forces of Chaos for example. It is the one thing that COULD unite the galaxy, if this wasn't a Grim Dark universe of course. They remind me a lot of the Covenant from Halo, conquering and collecting species and then putting them in hierarchies all beneath a handful of hyper intelligent members of a very underpopulated species. In doing so they trick all of the species of the covenant into believe that activating the Halo Rings is a destiny that will lead them to a dogmatic religious outcome. But the Tau aren't AS stupid as that tho, seeing as a halo array when activated eliminates life from entire sections of the galaxy in order to curb the parasitic Flood which it's makers were unable to defeat, so tehy starve them of their food essentially
Honestly in the Warhammer 40K universe the Tau are the best Hope For Humanity and the good guys in this grimdark universe. It's Humanity's own fault that it is on the brink of collapse. The Quevesas that have joined the tau have prospered, not only them but also their families. Overall life is better with the Tau. It's for the greater good
Erm ... Alpha Legion is the best hope for the whole universe. But then again either the Necrons or the Tyranids will ultimately conquer the galaxy. Everything else is a sideshow by comparison.
There must be, the farsight enclaves have definitely made footholds on the borders of imperial space. it wouldn't be hard to believe thousands of imperial guardsman being recruited under their due to Tau propaganda
Question In one of the last for the greater WAAAAAAAGH Videos you mentioned that the chaos gods have minor gods underneath them. Like Khorne having a blood aspect etc. My question is this. Does the emperor have similar deities under him? Is that what imperial saints like Celestine are? It would explain how she was hurt by the pylons on Cadia. You guys are great! Keep it up!
Officially, even thinking about that question is heresy. Unofficially, it's a popular fan theory (with some decent evidence) that The GOD-Emperor of mankind's warp presence has become an actual Chaos God due to the worship of the Imperium of man. His major Daemons being the Saints, while the Legion of the Damned are his minor demons.
Same, I gravitated towards them quite early for one major reasons: 1) They use firearm tactics over medieval charges! Seriously... what the hell are the other factions thinking in a high-tech world? Now, I did mix mine with Slannish Chaos forces because I love making the cannon cry. That, and a choas decked out Riptide behaving like an over-sized Noise Marine was something I dreamed of building one day. If I had to live in the 40k universe I’d choose to live in the Tau Empire. I know it’s a big thing that a lot of people think that the only reason Tau society doesn’t fall apart is because of mind control, or something of that nature. The way I see it, however, I’d rather be mind controlled, and live a very comfortable and free life in comparison to the one I’d have in the Imperium. That’s also assuming that the mind control completely take over the brain and doesn’t allow any free thoughts… which it can’t… since some humans in the Tau still worship the Emperor. I think that even if it’s mind control, it’s more a very strong suggestion rather than an outright forced control of action or thought. With that being said, that makes Tau life even better for a human, since the Tau are essentially the only Empire that fights for the ideals I agree with.. even if in a dystopian way.
Also, it seems whatever mind control capabilities the Ethereals have is only over other tau, all of the auxillary races (aside from it seems the vespid leaders) are willingly part of the greater good without any direct mind control.
Νο.They fought Chaos once and those who ate the dead cultists mutated so horribly that the other Kroot had to put them down immediately. Since then, they and the rest of the Tau Empire, consider Chaos to be a "lost cause" totally unable to accept the Greater Good philosophy and exterminate them on sight.

I mean you can definitely see why the Kroot joined the Tau... If they feasted on the Tau, they'd lose their combat abilities in return for better ranged combat.
Tau regulate some breeding but it is only when really necessary for a population boom. As long as they do not mix the different Tau castes it should be fine. I believe the relationship between Kitten and Shadowsun kinda shows that Humans and Tau cannot mate together, doesn't confirm anything though.
Yes, a human can have a relationship tau of the same caste. However relationships with other castes are incredibly unlikely. So if you were a human in the fire cast you could have a great relationship with a tau in the Fire cast.
