Well unlike literally every other technological race, Orks can just think weapons into existence. If they want more ammunition or massive cannons or nigh indestructible ships, they can just imagine it in their minds and it’ll come to life.
@@rebel1717No they cant - they still have to build or steal stuff - so no - wishing from nothing ain't a thing - but they can bash some junk togheter and it will work like a functional weapon because they belive it should work (and their latent psionic force does the rest in that regard). Orks also need to create workable amunition , make fuel for tanks etc - without it even their machines simply cant work because their latent psionic field can only do so much. For eg a proper engine might need specialised fuel - for orcs anything flammable will do because the orcs belive it should be enough because it is flammable enough (and it might be severly lacking in reality). Orks are highly advanced xenos they just have a different mindset and way of going about it. They're more advanced than the Tau in a way as they're fully warp capable and have direct equivalents to Imperial Titans and whatnot, much of their technology shouldn't work but it does if enough orks believe in it hard enough. It doesn't mean they can believe a log is a lascannon and use that it has to be plausibly functional. Something technological will need some gubbins and worky bits inside of it.

I think the tau tech is cool especially there vehicles and alot of there tech comes across to be very anime inspired makes kinda wish there was a human force that had that level of tech but then again they'd get wiped out by the imperium for heresy also wish the tau were better at closer ranges .
It's not that they're bad at it. They just hate doing it. A lot of them also don't have the body type to do it either. Farsight keeps trying to tell them they need to break that habit.
Wow. Some of the T'au are pretty badass in melee. Too bad that doesn't really translate to the tabletop. I also didn't realize that the T'au and Orks were such bitter rivals. That's one reason I love this channel. :) Also, to make T'au competitive, apparently you need lots of Battlesuits. Chapter Approved decreased the cost.
Farsight, Aunshi and maybe a handful of HQs are passable in melee. The issue is no one else in the army is so they are kind of left out on their own. To make Tau competitive you take Riptide battlesuits only really. Tau suffer from range on their weapons and the ballistic score being a 4+ on almost all their mechanized forces. Fix those two things and Tau would be in a much better place.
Yeah, I remember hearing that a few of them were pretty good at laying down some melee pain. It is sad to not have at least a few options to go in with them, though I think that at least one of the suits can use its blasters in melee to great effect. The question is, though, would that make them too good? Their weapons, overall, are fairly powerful so fixing both issues might be too much. Perhaps one or the other? I vote for the range as they don't like melee much.
@@daemonnexusknight Everyone always worries about making their shooting too good but what else do they have? Their shooting should be good and feared. Most other armies interact with almost every phase in the game with success. Tau don't do psychic and if we are assaulting things are dire. That leaves movement, shooting and morale. Right now I think Tau are missing something that makes them gel as an army. That things that brings them together and is their unique aspect.

Question: Are the Tau a completely united force? Do they have rebellious factions against the greater good or are they eradicated before any rebellious group can grow?
they have the main empire then the farsight enclaves. Farsight isn't rebelling against the greater good though only the ethereals, which basically means he isn't fighting the tau empire and still comes to help out when things get dire but also stays in his own empire, though after 8th that might change since the ethereals sent a fleet to go check up on him led by the only ethereal he kinda likes. fun fact his sword eats people's souls so he is hundreds of years old. he does not know this however. finally they don't kill people that rebel they send them to reeducation facilities.

Hes taking more about the special weapons the tau have. Especially with crisis suits, even broadsides don't have a massive range considering their shooty nature.
