    Hi, so do you recommend to review and take the exams first before doing the modules, since you mentioned having to wait months before the exam schedule.

    Hi! Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm searching on RUclips to hear everyone's experience with Texas Teachers of Tomorrow just to find out some tips or advice. I wanted to ask about how many modules/ courses did you do a day to finish in about a month? I just enrolled and I'm needing to complete mine in the same time frame. I'm off for the summer and since I want to get hired mid-year/ next spring from my school district, this would be the best time to get all the modules out of the way. Thank you so much!

      Hey ! Honestly I don’t remember I counted up how many actual lessons there were and then divided it by the amount of days I wanted to get it done by. It’s nice that you are off for the summer, just get as much and a little more as you can each day!

      You can take notes. But you don’t need to

    I’m happy for you! How’s it been teaching since you’ve started?
    I’m trying to see if it’s necessary for me to join Texas teachers considering I’ve already passed the core subject exam I’d want to teach for (EC-6)

      It’s a rollercoaster… there are days I absolutely love it, & days I wanna stop.
      I plan on doing a video to go more in depth. But that’s awesome! Texas Teachers is definitely a fast and easier route. Are you in school tho?

    Was the school district you interviewed for question how you did you field based experience hours? My district calls for student teaching, approved internship or related work experience under her job listing for prerequisites. I'm wondering if they even care we only did 30 hrs online or if it really had to be in person. Stressing about that part lol

    Hi girl! So I BARELY paid my enrollment fee after two years of going back and forth with starting the program at all. I don't really know what comes next. For sure, I wanted to ask about the different sites you mentioned! I was hoping you would talk about that. Can you just briefly explain what each site / account I am creating is for?? (TEA, Pearson, etc.) I APPRECIATE YOU!

    • @daywithk
      @daywithk  2 года назад

      Hey girl, it’s been a minute. But I believe you’ll have an account for The Texas Teacher Portal - which gives you a breakdown of all the steps you need to do to complete the program and your payment account.
      Then you’ll have an account through Texas Teacher Canvas - which you use to complete all the lessons/modules.
      The TEA login you need to create one so that you can apply/register for exams, certifications etc.
      Finally, you’ll use Pearson to actually register for the exams because they are the organizations that actually give you them.

    I don’t have a degree of any kind. I’ve been teaching pre-K for 30 years. I have my CDA have done it more than once. I think I’ve done it three times because you have to recertify every 3 to 5 years and I’ve been in pre-K for 15 years. I’m just ready to move on I know 30 years sounds a lot but I have a lot of love and I think teaching to give to children do you need a degree in order to start the certification program?
