This is by far the best pre launch battle scenario I ever had the honor of participating in, I played this on both factions and enjoyed it immensely, sylvanas destroying that siege engine with a single explosive arrow, then leaping down in full banshee mode, rallying her troops with that fantastic warcry, and then anduin, so proud of our new alliance king, calling down the light, healing his troops and then his rallying cry, absolutely fantastic, as always, blizzard cinematics are incredible!

"Why can't we be friends?" because she got triggered by a dying night elf pointing out what a monster she's become (Arthas 2.0) and genocided a few thousand innocent civilians instead of holding them hostage (which would've been the actual military strategy that even Saurfang admitted was brilliant). Sylvanas is selfish and only cares about her own preservation. In before the storm she even had her *own* civilians murdered for daring to not hate the living and wanting to be with their living family members. For the TRUE Horde, not the Lich Queen's army of boot-licking sycophants.
It’s probably been said but the king casted mass rez/a powerful healing spell to bring his troops back to health. Inspired sure, but inspiration doesnt bring you back from the brink of death
I watched that trailer having no knowledge on what Warcraft was. So when I saw it, I saw the Horde as the good guys because we're seeing the siege from there perspective first and this was backed up by the werewolf (don't know his name) saying "we have her cornered" followed by a grin. While he talked to the Anduin (not sure how its spelt). And they also showed the Horde losing warrior's to the Alliance, there Leader Sylvanas then going on the offensive by singlehandedly bringing a Siege Tower to inspire the Horde to keep fighting. Then when the Horde gains more momentum I was rooting for them. But then Blizzard switches it on us showing us the perspective of the Alliance. During the scene Anduins helmet comes off you see a young man not some battle-hardened veteran. Then we see him look around at wounded soldiers and have that moment of sadness. He then mass healed/revived his warriors showing that he cares about his men. It was basically "Hey guys don't worry I'm here for you, when you need it," So this was a really well done trailer and loved ever moment as I love your Reactions.
Normally, I can't choose between Alliance OR Horde, but this time, I'm saying FOR THE ALLIANCE!!!! (At least until Sylvanas gets replaced as the Horde's Warchief)
I enjoy the reaction because it reminds me that no matter your level of familiarity with the lore you can get something from this. To me it rang that Anduin, the king never wanted to be a warrior, he is a healer. And we see from the explosion with his final strike that he has the power and skill to be a good warrior but it goes against what he believes himself to be, and you can see the conflict in his face as he looks at his fathers sword, the sword of one of the strongest warriors that ever lived. Anduin truly came into his own when he was able to accept who he was, setting the sword aside even temporarily and became the healer his people needed. For me the message was that many things in the world be it friends, family, work or even teachers may expect things of you, but you must have the courage to be true to what is in your heart, because then, your true strength can be unleashed for the world to see. And we saw the results because we saw Sylvanas, who had stood beside an explosion and barely flinched was rocked back on her heels by the power he unleashed.
Cat, what you saw was the will to protect "The Horde" in the beginning... as all it's members call the Horde, their family. The other guy is sort of a Paladin and what you saw was not an inspiration... it was a MASS HEAL. :) I'm not a WoW geek, but i've done my study on the Lore of the game. :)
Oh, sooo... the lore is soooooo huge, that you had to have someone to guide you over the timeline, and explain what is going on... And it's pronunciated as A-zee-roth

Actually, Anduin (the Human king) was healing (possibly even resurrecting) his army at the end there - he studied as a priest when his father still ruled, and in the Warcraft lore Priests and Paladins are able to channel a holy power called "the Light" through their faith. I'm definitely seconding people askin' you to watch Warbringers: Jaina - while it definitely has more impact on people who've played Warcraft 3 and WoW and seen Jaina's story and development, it's still worth watching if you're new.

Will you react to in-game cinematics ? Because there are some ultra epic and also emotional in game cinematics for WoW. They use in game cinematic but don't worry they are rendered and animated like a normal one. Just not the fancy CGI one, but those are good and there are many of them. Because if you want to get in to the World of Warcraft fandom, then you should defeneatly watch some of them :)
You have a point there, but she dosen't know any of the story, right ? Then why she waches these CGI ones. She dosen't know about any of the story or what's going on. She just sees two sides battle and then she tells us her oppinion about it, wich is what she gets about the characters and the "story". When she watches the legion trailer she will not know who Varian is, but we fans knew who that person is so we had a more emotional connection, and when we saw it we were freaking out that he's gonna die. But she will not have that feeling, she will only feel emotional because at that point, she probably started to like the guy talking in armor... But yeah, that's just my opinion.

If you want to react to more Warcraft content, I cannot recommend enough the Wrath of the Lich king, Cataclysm and Mist of Pandaria cinematics as well as the Harbinger / Warbringer videos. NB: I almost forgot, "Old Warrior" is the prequel of this cinematic and "Lost Honor" is a little sequel to it, and they are both really good too.

Well you sort of have to understand and know the history, progression and lore behind the characters, world and factions fully appreciate and understand the weight of what's happening in cinematic. Take Anduin for instance, players have known him since he was a child and watched him grow to be King.
I advice you to watch some recent WoW cinametics in order of release. Some of them won't make sense without the others. First 'Warbringers Sylvannes' (Sylvannes is that woman that was leading the Horde) Then 'Old Soldier' Then 'Lost Honor' Those three especially need to be watched in that specific order to make sense. First do Jaina warbringer though, just because its awesome :)
The elf girl you see at the beginning is called Sylvanas Windrunner, she is an undead high elf and is leader of the Forsaken (a race of undead humans) and Warchief of the horde. The human is High King Anduin Wrynn and he is the leader of the alliance and the wolf guy with him is King Genn Greymane who is the leader of the Worgen, a race of humans that were basically cursed and turned into uncontrollable werewolves but a cure was made that allows them greater control over their rage and they can transform at will. This game is 14 years old so as you can imagine there is so much lore, I’ve been playing for 10 years and I probably only know half of it 😂 You should react to the Battle for Azeroth in game cinematics as well, they aren’t high quality animations like this, they use the in game graphics but they are still excellent. Another thing you could react to is the Warbringers shorts (Jaina>Sylvanas>Azshara in that order) they are presented as more artistic pieces but give a little bit more lore. Welcome to the fandom Kat!

i think with warcraft, it's one of those games where the more you know of the lore, the more you get out of it
You should see the three Warbringers: Jaïna, Sylvanas and Azshara, they are real real masterpieces, hitting you to the heart

She just sees two sides battle and then she tells us her oppinion about it, wich is what she gets about the characters and the "story". When she watches the legion trailer she will not know who Varian is, but we fans knew who that person is so we had a more emotional connection, and when we saw it we were freaking out that he's gonna die. But she will not have that feeling, she will only feel emotional because at that point, she probably started to like the guy talking in armor...
But yeah, that's just my opinion.

If you want to react to more Warcraft content, I cannot recommend enough the Wrath of the Lich king, Cataclysm and Mist of Pandaria cinematics as well as the Harbinger / Warbringer videos.
NB: I almost forgot, "Old Warrior" is the prequel of this cinematic and "Lost Honor" is a little sequel to it, and they are both really good too.

Well you sort of have to understand and know the history, progression and lore behind the characters, world and factions fully appreciate and understand the weight of what's happening in cinematic. Take Anduin for instance, players have known him since he was a child and watched him grow to be King.
I advice you to watch some recent WoW cinametics in order of release. Some of them won't make sense without the others.
First 'Warbringers Sylvannes' (Sylvannes is that woman that was leading the Horde)
Then 'Old Soldier'
Then 'Lost Honor'
Those three especially need to be watched in that specific order to make sense.
First do Jaina warbringer though, just because its awesome :)
If you ever fancy another emotional battle try the siege of neverwinter cinematic, it’s a bit older but very good
The elf girl you see at the beginning is called Sylvanas Windrunner, she is an undead high elf and is leader of the Forsaken (a race of undead humans) and Warchief of the horde.
The human is High King Anduin Wrynn and he is the leader of the alliance and the wolf guy with him is King Genn Greymane who is the leader of the Worgen, a race of humans that were basically cursed and turned into uncontrollable werewolves but a cure was made that allows them greater control over their rage and they can transform at will.
This game is 14 years old so as you can imagine there is so much lore, I’ve been playing for 10 years and I probably only know half of it 😂
You should react to the Battle for Azeroth in game cinematics as well, they aren’t high quality animations like this, they use the in game graphics but they are still excellent. Another thing you could react to is the Warbringers shorts (Jaina>Sylvanas>Azshara in that order) they are presented as more artistic pieces but give a little bit more lore.
